Chapter 1: Elemental Confrontation

On the outskirts of the land of steam, seven ninjas could be seen. Three of them wore a long black top that gathered at the waistline, which gave a sash-like appearance, with matching bottoms. Over this, they wore black, two-strapped flak jackets and shin guards, and they wore black masks to keep their identities secret.

The other four wore animal-like masks and had the usual Anbu attire on.

"Formation five", one Anbu member whispered, A bear-masked anbu flickered towards the rear, as another snake-masked anbu flickered to the right flank, and one fox-masked anbu flickered to the left flank. "Hand over the scroll; we know what you did in the village," said the leader of the anbu. The three ninjas immediately put their hands up. "We haven't done anything; we are just patrolling the area," said one ninja, the other two nodding at the anbu. The leader glanced at the masked anbu. "They are lying," said the fox. 

Immediately after the words left the Anbu's mouth, the ninjas got serious. One ninja took out his sword and dashed at the Anbu Captain. At the same time, another ninja weaved a tiger's hand sign, 'Lightning Release: Lightning Flash'. A giant lightning-infused shuriken flew towards the captain at blinding speeds. The Captain flickered out of the way and shot out a water bullet, piercing the ninja in the stomach. "Snake seal the other," said the leader. Snake nodded while running towards the ninja. Snake threw four shurikens toward the ninja, who swiftly dodged them. The ninja retaliated by weaving hand signs and placing his hand on the ground: "Earth Release: Bottomless Swamp." Snake easily dodged the jutsu and jumped up high in the air, throwing two Kunais.

The ninja's eyes widened seeing a dozen kunais being thrown at him. He immediately jumped backward, but one kunai hit him in the shoulder. He screamed out in pain.

The ninja tried to run away, but a few seconds later he fell to the ground unconscious. Snake flickered next to him, He thought 'Genjutsu and poison of such a low level actually worked on him; something suspicious is going on here.' 

Snake makes a mental note to tell his anbu captain, and he quickly seals the ninja's body in a scroll.

While Snake was fighting the ninja, "Fox, use mystical palm jutsu on him and make sure he is sealed afterward." Fox nodded while looking at the Anbu captain wearing an eagle mask.

The Anbu captain looked at Bear and said "Bear, let's fight the last one, Support me from behind", Bear nodded and got his tanto out of its sheath. The last ninja, sword in hand, dashed backward to make space before impaling the ground with his sword as he began weaving hand signs, "Fire Release: Flame Bullet." A giant flame bullet raced toward an eagle at high speeds.

The eagle was not bothered by this and began weaving hand signs, "Wind Release: Great Breakthrough." Sharp and violent winds escaped from the eagle's mouth, heading straight toward the flame bullet.

Just before the two Jutsu's made contact, Bear flickered a distance from the two attacks and weaved hand signs, "Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique." A flammable gas escaped his lungs and rapidly charged towards the two attacks. A huge explosion happened thanks to the flammable gas. sharp fire winds danced around the area.

The enemy ninja got caught in the blast and blasted a few hundred meters away. He hit the ground with a thumping sound.

"That's everyone sealed away," said Eagle, "Captain, one of the ninjas fell for a D-rank genjutsu and light poison. I think we should report this to the hookage and ask him to read their minds." Eagle nodded before talking again, "Put him. in a scroll quickly, We have to report this to Lord Hokage" Everyone nodded before making their way back to Konohagakure.
