"Let's go," I said, and the three of us disappeared without leaving any traces. Our destination was only a few hours away.
Soon, the forest around us started to fade, and a town started to came in view. There are countless small towns like these in the Land of Fire. The residents askes for missions from Konoha because it's the only military village in the country.
.
All of us are using a simple transformation jutsu; the merchants didn't have any shinobi who could detect it.
Soon, a caravan of three carriages appeared, waiting specifically for us. "Konoha ninjas are here. Let's start our journey; we don't have to fear anything now," the leader of the merchant group said loudly, waking up all the members of the group.
I sent Ren and Ritsu to talk with the leader, and with a simple jump, I was on top of the carriage.
.
I looked at the sky, my back lying on the carriage, which had been moving steadily for an hour. I scanned the area with my Byakugan,
"nothing."
There were no bandits or anything; the journey was as smooth as it could be.
.
I practiced my chakra control; with my internal vision, I could see it in my body, stopping it, sometimes moving it slowly or fast. I could manipulate my chakra as I wished in my body.
I knew if done incorrectly, it could damage tenketsu points. But hey, who am I? I've been playing with chakra since birth.
.
Pushing my internal vision further in my pathways, I started to split chakra into strings, then mixing them, making them one, without meddling with the flow of chakra, this continued until I was satisfied.
If I remember correctly, Momoshiki could create weapons of chakra, like chains and staff, and anything he wished.
I knew the process behind it – the compression of chakra, condensing a large amount into a small space.
To perform that, first, you need extremely high control over chakra, a limit I had already surpassed. The second requirement is a large amount of chakra, which I lacked.
Even though I'm at the peak of what a human body can withstand, I'm still far from the point where I can create full-blown weapons from chakra like Momoshiki.
Raising my hand, I guided all my chakra between my index and thumb, compressing it to its limit. A small red needle started to form between my fingers.
With almost all of my chakra, I could only create a senbon needle. Although it was unbreakable, many many times stronger than chakra metal,
I dispersed it with a sigh, and the chakra flowed back into my pathways.
.
I wasn't worried about Konoha ninja tracking us back. By the time those two reach the village and report to the Hokage, we'll already be in the Land of Hot Springs, and in a few more hours, we'll be in the Land of Water.
.
I chuckled, thinking about how Hiruzen would react to this 'would he blame Kumo or suspect Danzo? How would he answer to my clan? Too much drama would unfold in the village.'
'This will certainly pressure Hiruzen. Heheh... Am I bullying an old man?... Whatever....he deserves this,' I mused.
'And that other chess piece, Isomu Uchiha, how should I move him? Certainly, he is a talented young man – well, his eyes are talented.'
'Should I give a Sharingan to Naruto? But for that, I have to gouge out his eye.... Hmmmm.... yes....What if the villagers do that? Hmm, that's an excellent idea,' I let out a soft chuckle.
.
The scenery around me started to change; the greenery transformed into long and expansive rice fields.
The carriage moved slowly along an unconstructed road made within the fields. I patiently practiced my Byakugan, and soon the air became more humid.
Raising my hand, a waterball started to construct in my hand, 'it is more easier here,' i thought while utilizing the surrounding humidity.
.
Before long, we entered the village famous for its hot springs.
"Thank you for your assistance," the merchant leader said, handing us the mission payment.
"It was our pleasure," Ren replied with a smile.
.
When we were sure nobody was watching, we transformed again. This time, my special masks were on, making me appear as child.
Ren and Ritsu looked the same, but due to the masks, our eyes appeared as normal black eyes.
.
'I don't want to be noticed, and it could cause problems if a Hyuga was seen outside the village without the Hokage's permission.' So, we now appeared as normal travelers.
If we could fool a full-fledged hidden village like Konoha, this little village was nothing more than a joke.
.
"Lady Hinata, how are we going to enter Kiri?" Ren asked.
"We don't have to enter the main island; our target is not there," I calmly explained.
The Land of Water was composed of many small islands, each with its traditions and people.
.
The bloodline purge had just started in Kiri, and here I am to pick up my two future precious gems.
Many clans went into hiding due to this reason, with some constantly being hunted down, and some small clans going extinct.
.
"Now let's go," I said while walking towards the port. As we walked, some people glanced at us briefly and then went about their business. This land was a tourist place, so no one found it strange.
Soon, we reached the port, where many big and small ships were docked.
"Ren, book our tickets," I ordered him.
While he was booking the tickets, I looked at the vast sea. Small waves crashed on the dock, causing the ships to shake slightly.
---
The ship moved slowly towards the Water Country, and holding Ren's hand, I watched the sea like an excited child.
Many people and children were just like me,but they were unaware of what was happening in that place.
As the moon hung in the sky, casting its brilliant light on the surface of the blue sea, the sight was mesmerizing, reminiscent of fairy tales.
.
Standing on the ship's rail, waves hitting its surface, I activated my Byakugan and looked at the seabed. Once I confirmed there were no sea creatures, I jumped from the ship. 'I don't want to end up in the belly of some shark'
Gracefully landing on the sea's surface. I stood there, watching the fading figure of the ship, with Ren and Ritsu standing behind me. We had booked the ship for the opposite island we wanted to go to.
.
"Change your disguise," I instructed them and began walking towards the island where I would pick up a lost soul.
The three of us walked on the sea for many hours. Soon, a layer of mist started to appear; every island was covered in a certain mist, earning this place the name 'Village Hidden in the Mist.'
The temperature was slightly lower on the island compared to the sea.
"Finally," I took the first step on solid ground in many hours.
.
"Lady Hinata, where should we start to look?" Ren asked.
"Let me see." Activating my Byakugan, I scanned in all directions simultaneously. I aimed to find a small village and soon found some clues about it.
"Follow me." I started walking in a specific direction, and we didn't encounter any ninjas on the way.
"Found you." I looked at a house from far away, where only two people possessed chakra above civilians – a mother and a child, the kid was slightly older than me.
.
"Make yourself comfortable; this tree will be our home for some days," I said, making myself relax.
"Let's see when it starts," I murmured, opening a scroll, and a book appeared in my hand. I glanced at the house for the last time and started flipping the pages. The book contained information about all types of medicinal and poisonous plants.
Days passed by, with Ren hunting daily for snow boar or random animals that tasted great. I continuously trained my chakra control and kept an eye on the house.
---
"Look, Mother," I read the kid's lips when he demonstrated his ability to manipulate water above his hand.
The kid had a proud smile, but rather than being proud his mother had a terrified expression on her face, which turned into a fit of fury.
*Slap*
My hand raised to my cheek. 'This looks familiar,' I thought with a chuckle.
.
The kid's eyes became tearful, and the water in his hand splashed on the ground.
"You will never show this to anyone," his mother said with anger. I understood the reason; she didn't want her son to be hunted down.
"Yes, Mom," he said, lowering his head. He just wanted to make his mom proud but didn't knew the consequences of showing his abilities.
On the other hand, his mom was terrified; if someone found out, she and her son would be killed. She only wished for a peaceful life with her family. They were just ordinary farmers.
.
I then looked at her husband, who watched from the shadows. After witnessing all of this, he left.
.
The kid and the mother were unaware, but as soon as night descended, her husband knocked on the door with a mob behind him. He had convinced them, and they happily obliged.
I looked at the woman who joyfully opened the door for her husband. 'Poor woman,'
*Slick*
A knife pierced through her abdomen, blood gushed out, dying the ground red. Her hands unconsciously went to the wound caused by her husband. Her eyes met his, and guilt passed through her gaze.
"You betrayed me," her husband accused.
"No, I don't," she replied.
A man behind him attacked her with a knife, creating another gaping wound on her body.
.
"You're a bloodline holder," he yelled at her.
"Does that mean I betrayed you?" she asked. The life in her body started to leave her. She tilted her head and looked at her son, Haku, who had watched how his mother was being killed by his own father.
"Run, Haku," she said before being stabbed by many knives.
.
Haku looked at how his mother was killed, anger building in him, followed by a mix of emotions. His body became paralyzed, his brain stopped working. He didn't know what to do; his father had just killed his mother.
Then his eyes met his father, a knife in his hand and the mob behind him advancing towards him to kill him.
"Father, why are you doing this?" he asked tearfully.
"Don't call me father. You are not my son; you are just like her," he indicated towards the dead woman.
.
This broke his fragile heart when he heard these hurtful words from his father.
His tears flowed like an open dam. Then he saw all of them running towards him, including his father, intending to kill him.
Fear crawled into his heart; he didn't want to die.
.
In a last attempt to survive, something inside him burst out. Waving his hand to stop them, razor-sharp icicles formed from the ground, killing all of them in a cold-blooded manner. Everyone was impaled by ice from every direction.
Haku looked at the carnage in front of him and dropped to his knees.
.
In just a few seconds, he lost everything – his father, his mother were dead, and he was alone in this cruel world.
*Munch*
"Oh, poor boy... worry not... you haven't lost everything yet..." I chuckled while biting an apple and savoring its juicy and delicious taste.
