{Somewhere in the Land of Fire}
{9:17 PM, 6 March 78 Yrs}
Maybe knowing the future isn't such a good idea... Okay maybe that wasn't the problem, the problem arises when you get used to the idea of knowing what would happen but then somehow you lose your powers and everything becomes muddled, that's when the problems start. It's been merely three days since the last simulation, today the party of 4 arrived at Kōchiyo Village, after a survey of the village, Hiroshi just stuck to crowded places.
The most important thing on his mind though has been the 5-day cooldown period, it broke the norm of how the cooldown time was calculated. Originally Hiroshi had figured out two factors of how the cooldown time was calculated, first the time in the simulation, second the strength achieved during the end of the simulation. Now the only reason he could think behind this 5-day cooldown period was that his strength in the simulation, in the end, was lesser than his actual strength.
~Sigh~
'No point in thinking about it since I don't have enough data, there are still two days left in the cooldown, now what do I wanna do till then.'
An Idea to bribe Tora to get information on who is behind this plot did come to his mind but Hiroshi quickly discarded it. Even though his new jutsu and taijutsu style was impressive, he wasn't sure that it was something he could pass on to others.
'There's also the fact that he was a bastard and doesn't deserve shit...' what can you do he was a vindictive person, and although he would have compromised to stay alive if he didn't have the simulation. He was sure he could get the information one way or another soon. Anyway, Tora should probably have some stats at the high-chunin range at max, that's somewhere around 120-150.
'That's a long way still, my stat limit is 40... I need a lot of simulation points.'
~Sigh~
'Just looking at my stats is kinda depressing... I better head back to the base.'
The Outpost was a normal house instead of the normal fancy fort-like structure that Hiroshi had always assumed. He has been on outpost patrol missions before, and the value of these missions has gone down a lot in the past decade. The main point of an outpost patrol mission was to make sure that no enemy shinobi ninja breaches into the land of fire or at least not into the actual village.
Though Hiroshi always felt like it was a redundant operation if he was going to assign someone to infiltrate an enemy's territory then he would assign it to either jounin ninjas who specialize in stealth or ANBU. There is no way 1 chunin and three genin could do anything about it, but then again, the land of fire was extremely vast and Kōchiyo Village was just a small town of a few thousand farmers. There was nothing interesting to do here so most genin and chunin mostly took this mission for its higher commission ratio and the fact that they could train and improve during the mission.
That was one of the reasons he was part of team Tora, he returned to the base and the first thing he saw was Ren meditating on the roof of the hallway.
"Spar later?" He asked still with his eyes closed.
"Nah, I'm planning some endurance training for this mission, we just have 1 month for this mission anyway, that would be perfect for my schedule," Hiroshi spoke as he threw himself on the sofa in the living room.
"Yeah, what's up with this mission anyway, first it was supposed to be a 3-month mission then it got reduced to 1 month," Ren spoke, probably still in the same position but he knew that Hiroshi was lounging around on the sofa.
"Wait it was? I didn't know that!" Hiroshi exclaimed, he somehow managed to leak some surprise into his reply.
'So Ren and probably others didn't know anything about Tora's plan...'
"Yeah man, I was totally ready to learn this new jutsu I got..."Ren started talking but Hiroshi only partly paid attention to him. Ren was one of the members of the team who Hiroshi was close to, at the start, Hiroshi always avoided everybody out of principle, but being alone all the time was not as easy as he thought.
A smile came on his face as he remembered the grunts of acknowledgement they passed to each other earlier when the team was formed. So he was glad that Ren wasn't part of Tora's plan.
'I wonder if the other two know anything about it?'
Team Tora consisted of 4 people, Tora, the backstabbing psycho. Ren, the talented orphan whose talent for ninjutsu and sensing was discovered too late and by that time he was already knocked into the reserve force. Eiko and Mitsuru, the two love birds were a bit weird and joined at the hip figuratively. The childhood sweethearts somehow managed to go from the Konoha Orphanage through the academy and into the reserve forces.
'It's a weird team...'
"...found out recently that I am fire natured, I mean really they should give you that piece of paper a lot earlier, not when I have learned 3 fucking earth-natured jutsu's..." Ren was still complaining about how unfair the system was for the reserves squad.
Well, Hiroshi didn't mind it as he had no talent for ninjutsu before but now it seems he would have to get chakra paper from somewhere. If one wanted to get the one provided by Konoha, they first had to master the Body flicker jutsu provided by the village as soon as they graduate from the boot camp. After that, you would have to master 3 Earth-natured ninjutsu before you could get the chakra paper for free.
Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall
Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique
Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique
These three jutsus have been Konoha's staple starter jutsu even after decades of its establishment. Not only do they complement each other, but they also increase the survivability of Konoha shinobi while performing missions.
The technique Ren recently got was the great fireball technique, he was excited and so was Hiroshi because soon he would be able to do the same...
'I just need to get more simulation points'
