Naruto: A Broken Dream

Hiroshi was never someone who would rush into a fight, he was a happy person, someone who enjoyed getting everyone to laugh alongside him, Hiroshi was Mark Baker, a weeb who one day woke up in the world of Naruto and became Hiroshi Aburame... ---------------------------------------- I wanted to see what outside the scope of canon could do to the timeline, the story would probably go into massive AU in the future, with the whole world of Elemental nations going up and down because of Hiroshi's choices. If you want to read it, give it a try as the story won't be a linear worldbuilding, and everyone would be trying to screw one another... ---------------------------------------- This novel is my attempt at trying the Simulation system trope, I liked the idea behind the system, just the execution of many novels using this troupe was a blunder to navigate due to them being mostly MTL... So here's my attempt at a Simulation type novel. If you want to read ahead or read 9 Chapters ahead- https://www.patreon.com/DesMark

Learning Hiraishin: Flying Thunder God! Part 1

{Valley of Hell, Land of Hot Springs}

{11:29 PM, 7 May 78 Yrs}

Hiroshi picked up his calligraphy pen and started writing the ideas that finally worked in the simulation, it was a simple workaround that he had devised to bypass the fact that he won't get access to any memories of his experiments in the simulation. Just having these notes could shorten the time needed to complete the seal in the next simulation.

'Still, I didn't expect it to work, although according to the simulation, the seal wasn't perfect and needed to be grinded to be effective but it was a start... now I should show this to Danzo and emphasize that this was the most important part of the Hiraishin.'

[Day 124: Happy with your success you wanted to report your progress to Danzo-sama, but first you successfully created another seal you sent a portion of your chakra into the first seal, and in your mind, you could sense the other seal like a beacon. After making sure everything was working you moved toward Danzo-sama's office, after waiting for a while you were granted an audience, and for the next couple of minutes, you explained your progress in recreating the Hiraishin. Danzo was silent for a while after your explanation, "Follow me." Danzo spoke before he opened the secret door behind his office once again, you quickly follow him, the hidden door behind Danzo's table wasn't a storage room like you were expecting, it was a slanted hallway that went deeper underground. The next part of the ROOT base was an extra 100m underneath the main base, the structure wasn't that different and you could count around 10 rooms on the adjacent sides of the hallway. Danzo opened one of the rooms and spoke, "You'll stay here from now on, use the library at the end of the hallway and finish the Hiraishin as soon as you can."]

...

'There is another hidden base inside of the ROOT base?'

Although it seemed like it was a little bit of an overkill, still everything was in Hiroshi's favor. Now he could focus on surviving and learning Hiraishin while also looking into whatever Danzo could be hiding in his secret tunnel.

[Day 125: You woke up early to find all your belongings stored in a storage scroll on your desk, after setting up your room you walk towards the library at the end of the hallway, you started looking at various summoning arrays memorizing every component you could find. After hours of looking through various seals, you sat down at your table and start by taking the core of Tobirama's Hiraishin, the main part of the second seal is the stabilization and isolation of space that is in contact with the user's chakra which is compatible with the Trigger seal. After a whole day of progress you fail to achieve any significant advancement in creating the second part of the Hiraishin.]

...

[Day 126: You woke up early and start working on modifying the second core of the Hiraishin once again, after a whole day of experimentation with different seals you fail to achieve any harmony between the trigger seal and the space isolation seal.]

[Day 127: You woke up early and start working on modifying the second core of the Hiraishin once again, after a whole day of experimentation with different seals you fail to achieve any harmony between the trigger seal and the space isolation seal.]

[Day 130: ...]

[Day 135: You woke up early and start working on modifying the second core of the Hiraishin once again, you stopped using the seal components of summoning scrolls and instead use the components of your trigger seal, this approach was somewhat different from Tobirama's but you were successfully able to sense the isolated space on the other trigger seal. You didn't gain a new skill but seeing that you can sense the space on the other side meant that you were on the right track.]

'Finally, now that the space stabilization matrix is working in touch with my chakra I just need to modify the switching part of the Hiraishin to be able to work with the previous seal and it should work.'

Hiroshi was almost vibrating with anticipation, he knew he was so close to it. The difficult part of Hiraishin was modifying the trigger seal and the Space isolation seal, the switching seal could even be a direct copy as it didn't need anything special to work.

'Let's try with the unmodified version first, once I gain the skill then I can think about optimizing the whole seal.'

[Day 136: You worked on the seal all night and finally used seal compression to finish the jutsu formulae. You used a shadow clone to test it out, you marked the two seals at the two ends of your room, and then your shadow clone walked up to one close to you and activated the trigger seal. Your clone vanished from your eyes and as you turn to look around, he was already at the other end of your room, perfectly fine. You dismissed the clone and a set of memories gave you his perspective, from the clone's POV, he didn't move but it seemed like the whole world shifted in an instant. A new skill popped up in your status, {Hiraishin: Flying Thunder God}.]

...

[Day 137: You woke up early the next day and went to Danzo-sama's office to report on your success. After demonstrating a working teleportation Danzo-sama instantly started asking questions, "What is the maximum range on your Hiraishin, how many seals can you support at the same time." You explained that the Hiraishin worked like a network, as long as there was a chain of jutsu formulae between you and the target seal then the distance didn't matter, though the cost of using the jutsu kept increasing the more seals you had to travel through. In addition, there was no limit to the number of seals that could be placed at a time. Danzo-sama dismissed you after giving you an order to rest up to leave for a long-term mission tomorrow. You went back to your room and went to sleep.]

...

'He's going to make me distribute the seals all around the world ain't he, then he could send a strike force anywhere in the world at any given time.'

Hiroshi shuddered to think what kind of chaos Danzo could cause once he has that kind of power under his grasp, though it would take him a long time to cover the whole elemental nation in seals.

'Not that it matters much since it's just a simulation anyway, now I just need this simulation to end so that I can grind the Blood Bone jutsu and see if I could upgrade it to be more usable, no matter how many times I try to influence myself in the simulation, it seems like Danzo had explicitly forbidden me in the simulation to use that jutsu.'
