Naruto: A Broken Dream

Hiroshi was never someone who would rush into a fight, he was a happy person, someone who enjoyed getting everyone to laugh alongside him, Hiroshi was Mark Baker, a weeb who one day woke up in the world of Naruto and became Hiroshi Aburame... ---------------------------------------- I wanted to see what outside the scope of canon could do to the timeline, the story would probably go into massive AU in the future, with the whole world of Elemental nations going up and down because of Hiroshi's choices. If you want to read it, give it a try as the story won't be a linear worldbuilding, and everyone would be trying to screw one another... ---------------------------------------- This novel is my attempt at trying the Simulation system trope, I liked the idea behind the system, just the execution of many novels using this troupe was a blunder to navigate due to them being mostly MTL... So here's my attempt at a Simulation type novel. If you want to read ahead or read 9 Chapters ahead- https://www.patreon.com/DesMark

6th Simulation! Part 4

{Valley of Hell, Land of Hot Springs}

{10:45 AM, 12 April 78 Yrs}

It's been almost five minutes since Hiroshi instructed his simulation to focus on just grinding Fuinjutsu, the logs of every other day when he made some significant progress happen appeared in front of Hiroshi but it was a little monotonous, but Hiroshi was happy with all the merit points he was gaining, he now just had to spend them before the 4th World War happens.

'Considering that I am just making explosive tags that shouldn't really do anything in the grand scheme of things, it just means more money for Oyashiro's organization which wasn't that active during the Shippuden timeline, Sasuke and the others raided it after the war so I should safely survive if I keep my head down and just grind.'

[Day 281: You keep making intermediate exploding tags, and your success rate rises to 53% as your skill {Intermediate Exploding Tag} levels up to 6. The total number of intermediate exploding tags you have made has reached 5103.]

...

The numbers kept going up but nothing of interest happens, it was one of the calmest experiences he has had yet when going through with the simulation, it was weirdly boring just watching the numbers rise up, but still, Hiroshi felt relief that he had at least cleared the first death flag. Now all he had to do was wait, there was no reason to grind any seals or skills since he would just pick the choice where he would select the option to select all the new skills he learned in this simulation.

'I don't think I would be able to grind to Advanced Fuinjutsu, Oyashiro most likely has a stricter lock on that level of knowledge, I could try to gain access to-' Hiroshi's thoughts stopped as he looked at the simulation logs in surprise.

...

[Day 356: You were making another {Intermediate Exploding tag} when the door to your room opened, you sat up in surprise only to find a blond man with long hair tied in a ponytail looking at you, he walked into your room with confidence, he looked like he owned the place as he walked towards you and started talking. The man introduced himself as En Oyashiro and proposed to take you to his central headquarters, he spoke about how he acknowledges your potential and dedication to improving yourself in the art of Fuinjutsu and promises to take give you access to a higher level of knowledge. You quickly agree and you prepare to leave the Eikai Hideout.]

'So it took Oyashiro almost a year to notice me in his organization, it is a little delayed than I was expecting but maybe it was because of his cautious personality that he never approached me.'

[Day 359: You arrived with Oyashiro and his guards at a coastal town, a ship was already waiting for your party, it took a few moments for you to realize that you were going to the Coliseum.]

'Was his base in the coliseum, then his losing almost everything after the raid makes sense, but I never understood how someone so slippery could lose everything after just one raid, surely he wouldn't have his criminal empire based from just one location.'

[Day 360: You arrived at an Island, you could clearly see the huge building where illegal battles using slaves take place but your destination was in the forest behind the massive construct. The main HQ or 'paradise' as Oyashiro put it, wasn't that much fancier than the cave hideout, you still got your own room and the food was nicer so it wasn't like there was anything to complain about. You went to bed early filled with anticipation on what the next day holds for you.]

[Day 361: Oyashiro arrived bright and early the next day, you noticed a small girl hopping behind him. You looked at her curiously before turning your focus back on the blond man. He looked around your room and after some pleasantries, he took you with him on a tour of the place. The last place he took you was the archives, in a small section in the corner was a small selection of scrolls and books on Fuinjutsu. Oyashiro patted you on the back then left as you sat down and started memorizing.]

'Is he planning to nurture me... I should look around the archive and see if I could find the Shadow Clone Jutsu, my reserves should allow me to learn it, and just having one clone should be enough to test if I can remove the restriction on the Secret Skill: Blood Bone Jutusu.'

It was one of his initial plans, according to the system when he first created the Blood Bone Jutsu it was an incomplete jutsu, he didn't have enough comprehension then but maybe if he tried to max out this skill maybe the massive penalty would go away.

[Day 362: You spent the last two days going through a lot of fuinjutsu knowledge, and your {Intermediate Fuinjutsu} skill leveled up to 5. You looked through the archive but didn't find the shadow clone jutsu anywhere, you run into Oyashiro and asked him about learning Shadow Clone Jutsu. He shook his head stating that it was one of Hidden Leaf's prized possessions, only jounin-level shinobi know how to do it, so trying to get that Jutsu was more expensive than it was worth.]

'Dammit... okay plan Shadow Clone should be postponed till the next simulation. I should try and learn to recreate the Rasengan while I'm at it, this simulation is the perfect time to do it, that way I won't waste my time in real life and since I would select new skills in the simulation anyway I could learn it in the next two years before the war.'

[Day 373: You have adjusted to life at the HQ, though most of your time is spent reading theory tons of fuinjutsu theory, you have lately started exhausting your chakra by trying to learn the Rasengan, it didn't take much effort for you to clear the first step knowing exactly what was needed, but you have been stuck at the second step for the past ten days, there were very small deformations on the rubber ball after every time you tried to burst the rubber ball with a spike of chakra. You tried once again and look at the small ripples that formed on the surface of the ball, It doesn't seem like you would achieve success anytime soon.]

'Alright I could keep trying it took Minato three years to create that from scratch, my chakra probably isn't as dense as Naruto's so it would likely take me a long time to be able to make one, though it could also fail considering my comprehension is not enough to learn it, but it's the best use of my spare chakra right now.'

...

...

[Day 413: You spent your time alternating between experimenting with fuinjutsu, and learning the Rasnegan, while there is progress on both fronts only {Intermediate Fuinjutsu} skills progress is quantifiable as it leveled up to 6. The ripples on the rubber ball are getting larger though.]

...

...

[Day 456: You foray into experimenting with fuinjutsu, and learning the Rasnegan finally gives results as your {Intermediate Fuinjutsu} skills progress to Level 8. While after almost half a year, the rubber ball finally burst, and you gained a new skill {Shape Manipulation}.]

...

...

[Day 534: You completely memorized every book that was available in the archive and your skill {Intermediate Fuinjutsu} reaches a MAX level at 10. You still have been unsuccessful at containing the Rasengan but your {Shape Manipulation} has reached level 2.]

...

'That's too slow to be viable, maybe it is my comprehension preventing me from learning an A-Ranked Nijutsu, I should not waste time on the Rasengan then and maybe spend those points that I gained to see if I could get an Advanced Fuinjutsu.'

[Day 535: After you finished reading everything you arrived at Oyashiro's office but he wasn't there so you went back to your room and started experimenting with trying to replace some of the Advanced concepts into the {Basic Storage skill}. Because of your attempts to create a new seal your understanding of {Basic Storage skill} increases as it reaches MAX level at 5.]

'huh...'

[Day 543: Oyashiro finally came back and after you told him that you were done with the scrolls in the archive, with an excited expression he praised you before telling you to come back later during the day, he has a gift prepared for you. You nod and left his office and spend your day resting for whatever he has in store for you. When you arrive at his office, you notice someone else there as well, Oyashiro quickly explained his proposal, and he placed a scroll in front of you, you looked through the curse seal that was depicted on the scroll it took you a few seconds as you started deciphering what the curse seal was for as Oyashiro placed another set of scrolls on the table. While you didn't like the implications of whatever the trigger part of the curse seal was your gaze was drawn to the familiar swirl that you remember seeing on the back of every flank jacket in Konoha.]

'The Uzumaki fuinjutsu scrolls...' Hiroshi thought.
