The time of the chunnin exams was upon Konoha, the spirits of the civilians were sky high to see the gifted younglings of their own village.

And so were the bigwigs of the country. Feudal lords and anyone with a minimum of influence over the country were present and very interested in the participants in this last stage of the exam.

The public could see different skills and talents shown in the last battles. And now the sea of people in the stands were excited and anxious for what was about to begin.

Below them, on the battlefield, the contenders stood in the center of the arena facing each other about 10 feet apart.

On one side stands a blond-haired boy with blue eyes and predominantly orange robes. Uzumaki Naruto, the son of the late fourth Hokage and Red Hot-Blooded Habanero, also known as Minato Namikaze and Uzumaki Kushina. the Genin exudes an aura of pure confidence that just seems to say: I'm ready to kick some ass.

On the opposite side of the arena is another boy of the same age with brown hair and red fang patterns painted on his cheeks being accompanied by his white-furred canine companion. This is Kiba Inuzuka, a member of the Inuzuka clan characterized by their accompanying canine companions.

He is quite a boastful boy with a lot of confidence in his own abilities which results in a certain behavior that some would define as an alpha complex.

Both applicants for promotion knew each other well. Both had attended the ninja academy together since they were children, both having a tendency to want to prove themselves better than the other in games that ended up becoming competitions later on.

Naruto always wanting to prove his strength and skills worthy of the son of the fourth Hokage to his friends while Kiba, who was raised in a clan with similar values to the packs, refused to accept another boy as superior and instead tried to mark his dominance as an alpha male, which ended up causing them to clash many times throughout the years.

Years passed and now the two are about to face each other agai in the third stage of the Chunin exams. Although they had never agreed on anything before, both knew this would be their undoubtedly most important competition. 

Not only because of the potential answer to WHO was the stronger ninja between the two of them...

...but because of something entirely different.

As the Hokage begins to explain the current stage of the examination to the spectators, the 2 boys take a look towards the audience behind the referees back, full of excitement for the upcoming confrontation. Cheers, insults and waves of loud voices was hard not to notice by both Genins.

But still neither paid any attention to that.

Instead, both Naruto and Kiba each had their eyes on a single individual sitting in the far corners of the arena. Too far away to be noticed by the general crowd.

Naruto looks right past Kibas visage and finds a woman with tousled brown hair and red marks on her cheeks not unlike the ones of his current opponent. She was wearing a short black T-shirt, a little too small to contain her massive mammaries. Both pieces showing off her perfect hourglass figure. To the average unknowing bystander she doesn't show any obvious red flags, just a mature, responsible and calm woman.

But Kiba, oh he knows better than that.

What is obviously a normal outfit for the average citizen of Konoha, to him is nothing but a disguise to hide the lewd weapon she calls a body behind a false sense of modesty and decency. the woman continues to make eye-contact with the boastful Inuzuka, waves at him before blowing him a loving kiss.

Naruto finds himself looking directly at one Tsume Inuzuka, leader of the Inuzuka clan and Kibas own mother.

Reminiscent of a mirror image Kiba is looking at the one and only Kushina Uzumaki, widow of the Fourth Hokage and Narutos mother.

Both are completely unaware of the looks they are giving each others mom...

...and what they were doing just moments before the fight.
