As the night wore on, Nathan remained at his grandfather's side, refusing to leave even for a moment.
His vigil worried Diana, his stepmother, deeply. She knew Nathan needed comfort and guidance, but she wasn't sure how to reach him in his state of grief.
So she decided to reach out to the one person she knew he would surely listen to.

Now, Nara hadn't heard the news of Grandfather Timothy's passing yet, so it was surprising for her when she received a call from Diana.
"Hello?" She answered, her voice guarded. She wasn't close to Diana or any member of Nathan's family, so that was expected. But her walls crumbled when she listened to Diana's explanation.
She took in a deep sigh after ending the call. She'd be a monster if she didn't rush to Nathan's side, but she feared she might not be able to console or even comfort him.
