Chapter 9

After our dozen students volunteer the teacher drivers drove us out I was sitting on a mat on the floor of the bus as I had removed the seating for more room but as the center of the attention I wasn't quite able to relax and work on my chakra control beyond the proscribed leaf exercise where you make leaves stick to your skin via your chakra without blowing it off or in the case of Naruto, make the leaf completely explode into dust.

But I most certainly wasn't an Uzumaki nor did I have a sentient mass of chakra stuffed into my stomach so at best I had high genin reserves due to my chakra reserves being so Yin-attributed and sided because of my soul being strengthened with my Aura.

"Takashi with you and Saeko having Aura I want you two to separate into teams of three with the other volunteers to scout out the sides of the police station while I work to clean out the building altogether," I explained and the two teenagers nodded with both of them clenching the thick iron broadsword I made for them with my Minecraft abilities.

Sure it wasn't a Katana for Saeko but Vanilla Minecraft was very sparse in terms of item diversity unless there were some mods... What I wouldn't give for tinkers construct or hell some tech mods to be added.

"Alright Jake, uhm, by the way, do you have any suggestions for how to manage the whole enchantment thing on these swords? Like are they going to suck up our life force or something?" Takashi wryly asked and I snorted and rolled my eyes.

"No... The swords are only enchanted to be sharper, do more damage to undead, and when killing beings repair the weapon itself." I said flatly and made it clear that at worst the blade would just fall apart in his hand but it truly shouldn't do that as he was only going to be stabbing a zombie a couple of times in the head.

So if came crying to me about his sword breaking I was going to kick his ass.

"So if you can make enchanted weapons then why are we going for guns and stuff? And hell why don't you make enchanted armor or just armor in general?" Tomashi asked bluntly and I looked up to the sister of Mr. Forklift Certified who was armed with a spear.

"Because it's tiring... I have more important things to do. And most importantly the armor although useful won't protect you from getting infected by the worms that can leap from a zombie's body onto you and then burrow into your skin and body if you don't have aura." I finished and she shuddered and reflexively a flash of pink light from her own aura came out of her body as though to push away any worms that were around her.

And with aura, wearing heavy armor was more trouble than it was worth as Aura boosted a person enough to easily take some bites and scratches from zombies. And armor even enchanted ones I wouldn't trust to face an attack from the special infected, much better to just dodge in any case.

With those inane questions dealt with we spent the rest of the half-hour ride slowly going through the city's dead traffic in relative silence as the students and teachers took in the devastation of Tokyo that filled our surroundings.

After three days Tokyo's fires that sprung up from the riots of the undead attacking all and the police and JSDF attempting to fight back had long died out due to lacking fuel. The only thing that seemed to remain was the walking dead as no living one dared to come out of their hiding spots to attempt to join our slow-moving convoy as they knew if their attempt failed they would almost certainly die to the slow-moving hoard that was following the sound of our dozen vehicle convoy.

"Sir, can I turn on the bus radio to hear the morning news?" The teacher asked and I waved in acceptance telling him to make sure his hand radio was turned up so he could hear if anyone in the convoy needed to call out something.

After five minutes of listening to a survivor from Okinawa talking about how the American military base got overran due to a riot over supplies the driver silently turned it off after we listened to the survivor's tale about how the soldiers refused to hand over the last stores of their supplies and telling the people squatting at their base to venture past the fences to go raid the surrounding housing and buildings to get more.

The sounds from the warning gunshots to disperse the riot drew a horde of zombies and then the chain link fence that surrounded the base was knocked over in the tide of tens of thousands of zombies leading to the fall of the encampment with the American soldiers flying off apparently towards Hawaii or Guam supposedly and leaving the civilians behind.

"Can our walls even hold back tens of thousands of zombies... We are in the middle of fucking Tokyo, there are literally millions of zombies probably." I heard Takashi curse as he looked out the shuttered window seeing the zombies on the sidewalk shambling over and then getting inevitably smashed by one of the buses with their reinforced front bumpers.

"Our walls do not bend. They are ten-meter thick solid stone walls and not counting the large moat filled with lava that I dug around the school that's twenty meters deep and five wide that can easily hold a few thousand bodies, we also have methods of escape and such." I consoled him as I had gone above and beyond in making protections for the school.

Sure I couldn't do floating structures and thus I couldn't just build a massive castle in the sky to say fuck the apocalypse but I was still able to put lava in a Minecraft bucket... And I would love to see zombies get past a good-sized moat with the bottom filled with lava.

"Jake we are closing in on the police station... Jake, there is cars dragged, smashed, and stack into the opening of the station!" The driver called out and I sighed as I carefully walked to the front of the bus as the teacher swerved around the left-behind cars and I saw how the teacher was underselling it.

There were two sets of three small sedans that looked to have been completely smashed down and then stacked atop one another in front of the gate leading into the lot of the police station.

"Ah, shit... The cops wouldn't have barricaded themselves in like that if they were still around." I cursed before I slapped open the lever to open the doors as it was still in motion.

"Get parked and safe while I clean up the zombies that followed us. Saeko. Takashi as the only ones with aura on this trip you work to clean up the zombies in front of us." I called out before I jumped out of the slowly moving bus and rolled as I bled off the momentum before getting back to my feet and jogging towards the back of the convoy killing the zombies that followed us before putting up a stone wall down the middle of the road to keep other zombies from coming.

A couple of minutes later we killed all the zombies and other than two with some spikes starting to grow on their heads, there wasn't anything else notable about the zombies due to them having already started to slow down for the most part due to their bodies digestive systems have started to break down the zombie's body for fuel for the parasites and viruses to continue to control the body.

Everything was going well honestly, no one got bit, no one got mauled or anything. But as Takashi and I used our super strength together to push aside the squashed-down tiny cars a loud cracking noise rang out and my head snapped back knocking me onto my ass and my mind went blank as people started screaming.

Even as a hand came to my head to hold feel the spot I got hit in, my brain only just catching up to the fact that I fucking just got shot in the head.

"Get into the buses!" Takashi roared and then he attempted to pick me up to drag me onto the bus but I threw aside his hand with a snarl I raised up my battle axe and then I pulled the trigger on my most volatile rounds.

My mecha shift axe in its rifle form sent out a spray of war crime-level of frangible bullets that tore through the police station's broken windows and I heard male screams as the bullets that were built to break apart into sprays of small shrapnel on impact obviously hit someone.

"No... We came here for weapons and supplies for said weapons." I said coldly as I looked at Takashi. "They didn't say anything, warn us to leave, or anything. They just shot me in the head." I started as I made my opinion on these people clear. I wasn't going to fucking walk away after being shot in the damn head.

I didn't know what I was going to do to these people but with my senses fully tuned and both chakra and aura thrumming through my body, I dashed forward at speeds that no human had likely ever run on this world, running fast enough that the people at the windows of the station couldn't get a bead on me as I used my aura and chakra enhanced body to leap towards one of the large open windows I had had a part that didn't seem to have someone within.

"Get that fucker! Kill him before he kills us!" I heard someone roar and at that declaration, my fury at being shot went ice cold as I realized that I was going to kill someone... No, I was going to be killing a number of someone's as I wanted the guns and ammo in this station more than I cared for my own morality or their own lives.

I was putting my life and the lives of the people in my large group over theirs... And honestly at this moment as I hefted up my axe and stood by the side of the door waiting. A man with carpet stapled and seemingly woven into his hoodie to stop zombie bites walked into the room with his gun drawn and held in front of himself.

But in that moment as I stared at the back of that man's hood that was covered in the dense rough carpet used at offices. I saw the students and teachers of the school I had taken in to protect and with a loud and wet crunching noise my axe went through his skull splitting open his head and making his pistol go off in his hand that shot into a nearby wall as his body reflexively clenched up at the brain abruptly sending a flurry of signals with its destruction.

"You aren't a cop." I whispered as I took in the tattoo's on the man's arms as I took the gun from the man's hand. 'Probably some Yakuza thug or something.' I thought as I checked the revolver and saw only the one bullet he fired had been used and then feeling how I still had like seventy percent of my aura I stepped out of the office room into the hallway and then seeing another man coming out of another office room I pulled the trigger on the revolver making a flower of bloody mist splurt out as the man was only some five meters away so my shot went straight through his throat.

I was likely going to kill every single gangster in this building... And as I came out into the police station's center large entryway and saw a literal stockade with a trio of nude adult women locked into it. I honestly didn't feel that bad about it.
