"It must have sucked being surrounded by people who didn't want you there, or worse, people who hated your very existence because you didn't fit their definition of what they wanted in a vandrik. No wonder you wanted to be with the other races. You got all the respect and praise, but none of the love. The perfect way to live, I must say."
Tristan grinned as Samantha growled with anger. She wanted to kill him so badly that she was practically vibrating.
Gina sobbed with terror as Samantha kept the blade pointed at her.
