Chapter 39: Stunned

Rojen's POV

"1 hawaiian pizza, uh 12 inches in size, 1 nachos and two cups of soda please." I ordered.

I was confused on the looks of these foods so what I see in the menu which I think sounds delicious is what I ordered.

I hope Fiona would eat what I bought.

"That's a total of twelve dollars and fifteen cents, sir." the lady said.

I paid for the foods and they told me that they'll just deliver it so I told her the ro number and walked out of the snack house.

This is what I think I liked here beside on the karaoke rooms. It's a great idea for business having a snack house for people who visits to sing.

I walked on the hallway and I have seen there are lots of doors everywhere. I had passed on every room and I think each have different designs because everytime I passed on each doors, there are some who goes out so I tend to look what's inside.

I was near on our room when I saw an open door and I just accidentally saw what's inside. I stopped from walking and just stared at the design of that room.

"So this is what a galaxy looks like if you're here on earth. It's so fascinating." I whispered.

It was my first time seeing what a galaxy looks like because when I was still there, I had no time to travel the whole universe. I focused myself on granting wishes from people and when I fell here on earth, My eyes are closed because the force of the earth's ozone layer might hurt my eyes.

I was back on my senses when I saw someone passed beside me. I think she's heading towards that room so I walked away immediately or they may think I looked suspicious.

I walk for about a couple of seconds until I reached our room.

I opened the door but I stopped when I heard that Fiona is already singing. I don't know what happened but my body got stiffed and just stayed on where I am standing.

I was totally awe when I heard her voice. It's so fascinating ang for sure you'll love it when you heard it.

It was like she was singing a lullaby for someone she loves because based on the lyrics, it was a song that you dedicate for someone you love and you wanted to be with you until your last breath.

I did not enter the room. I just let her sing. What I did is I stayed outside, made sure that the door is slightly open and hear her sing the song until the end.

I stayed there for a couple of minutes until I heard a new song again. It was energetic and fun.

Although I don't have my powers now, I can feel that Fiona is happy. I heard she was shouting and enjoying the song, and I think she is dancing. I can hear the sound of her shoes everytime she jumps and dance.

Now it makes me think what if I already got my bracelet back, finished my mission and fight those cursed stars if ever I am still here when blood moon came?

It saddens me to leave her behind as I was attached to her already. She is a kind of friend that you would treasure because you can't just teach her, you can learn something too, and that is on how to become a brave and strong person despite of all the hardships, challenges and failure that you might face.

Also, I am a little bit scared that I may run out of time and I still didn't get my bracelet back. That's the only way to protect Fiona and myself when the blood moon came. I have to secure Fiona's safety more than anything else, because that my main mission, is to protect her at all cost until she live happily and contented.

If ever that happens, I may be the happiest star of all, because seeing someone important to you happy and living with peace can make you happy too.

I admit, before, I was just doing this because it's a mission that has been given to me by Mother Tala and it's my choice to do it, but now, I am doing it because this is what I think is right and is my responsibility, not just a choice.

I stopped thinking when someone came. It was the delivery guys and he's here to deliver the foods that I ordered. I smiled at him and lead him inside of the room.

I saw Fiona stopped singing because I think she is shy when I and the delivery guy came. The melody of the song continues but she just took a sit and didn't continue her singing.

I thanked the guy and I also saw Fiona smiled at him before he left the room. Now it was just me and Fiona and thw room is filled with a loud noise but no one of us didn't start talking.

Now this is awkward.

"W-why don't you continue what you started?" I stuttered, trying to open up a topic.

"I uh... I-it was finished already. It was just the music of the song, it takes too long, hehe." She answered.

"But why there is still lyrics?" I asked.

She immediately stopped the song and the room was filled with defeaning silence.

"That was just a background lyrics, usually singers didn't sing that part."

I just nodded and took a sit. This chair feels comfortable and it's so soft.

"What do you call this chair, Fion?" I asked.

"It's a couch."

"Mmm." I nodded again. "Why don't you continue singing?" I asked.

"I... I just felt like I wanted to eat first so let's dig in." she reasoned out.

We started eating and I think Fiona loves what I bought.

"Good thing you liked it." I said.

"Of course. It's a once in a blue moon for me to eat pizza and nachos." She replied. "You know, although this seems like I can afford it but I prefer to buy those cheap foods. I have to save money than to waste it on this one big bite kind of meal." she continued.

She has a point.

We enjoyed the food for about a couple of minutes and we already wasted too much time. Actually, the main purpose why we came here is to practice, not to eat.

"Come on, Fion. We came here to practice your voice, not to eat." I said.

"Can you just wait? I'm a little bit shy because I haven't sing in front of many people for a very long time." she answered.

"I'm your friend and why would you get shy? I'm here to listen, not to judge." I replied.

She went silent and took a deep breath. I saw her get that color black device and stood up and clicked it. And there are numbers that can be seen between that big glowibg device in the wall.

"That's a TV and this is a remote." she said.

I nodded and just focused my sight on the TV.

Everything that can be seen there is moving which looks satisfying.

"But there is no more satisfying than hearing Fiona sing." I whispered.

I think she didn't heard it because the music came from the TV already started.

'Happy Together'

That was the title of the song. It's her favorite.

Now I can finally listen to it.
