The servants were surprised. What was going on? Why did it feel like Joseph was comforting his daughter?
Soon, the porridge was served.
It was pumpkin porridge slowly stewed over a small flame. It was sweet, soft, and tasty.
Actually, Lucille did not like pumpkins. However, she had been hungry for so long that she wolfed down the bowl of porridge. Not to mention, because it was made by a skilled cook who used fresh ingredients, the porridge tasted delicious.
After finishing the bowl of porridge, Lucille wiped her mouth and pushed the empty bowl in front of Joseph. She didn't say anything and only raised her chin slightly to express her thoughts.
Seeing that, the servant quickly stepped forward to help them out. "Mr. Joseph, Miss Jules, I'll clean it up."
Joseph said, "One more bowl."
The servant was stunned for a moment. Was that what Lucille meant?
"Oh, okay."
