Chapter 1421 Harsh Words

As those words lingered in the air, Lucille dashed toward the other end of the alley. Her nimble figure disappeared from sight in just a few strides.

Joseph initially planned to chase after her, but upon remembering the harsh words Lucille had just tossed his way, he could not help but chuckle.

Young Lucille sure had a ruthless bite. Perhaps it was because he had reached out to touch her hair earlier, and she had mistaken it as lecherous behavior, resulting in her biting his hand in retaliation.

Glancing at the neat, sharp bite marks on his hand, Joseph smiled. Once again, he went in the direction in which Lucille had run off to.

This time, however, he did not approach her directly.

Lucille was on guard around him and everyone else presently. Approaching her rashly would only incur her aversion. Therefore, he had to adopt a different method.

Joseph found a secluded place and stabbed himself twice.
