I'm a baby??

Jane got the scare of her life. With the war going on, she decided to get a private job so as to avoid the fight against the dalki. Searching through the job list, she noticed someone looking to look after a newborn whose mother has just died. And that was exactly what she was doing for the past month at the Talen residence. She was there taking care of the boy Abraham who was extremely sick.

Most of the time, the boy was sleeping, even when she change his diaper, breastfeed him or massage the baby's body with oil. But today as she was bringing the baby close to her chest to breastfeed Abraham, the boy suddenly opened his eyes and it seems as him he got shocked by seeing her chest, the baby closed his eyes again.

She panicked and place the baby back in the incubator. She quickly fixed her clothes and called out for Mr. Darcul Talen, her employer.

Today Dracul had returned from the war after a day to spend his time with his children. While the foster mother Jane was looking after Abraham, he was spending his time with his elder son, Albus. Dracul noticed that Albus has not yet recovered from the death of his mother, and he was trying his best to make him move on in his life.

All of a sudden, he heard Jane calling him in an alarmed voice. All the negative emotions started to flood his mind as if Jane was going to announce the departure of the baby.

He ran towards the room and without even glancing at Jane, he went directly near the incubator. Surprisingly but thankfully, the device on top still indicated that Abraham's heart was beating.

He looked at Jane confusingly expecting her to explain what the cry was about. Then Jane explain that the baby had opened his eyes for some seconds before closing them. This was something that happened for the first time in front of them.

This brought a glimpse of hope to Dracul. Something he very much needed as motivation.

After some time, Abraham woke again, and this time he was busy analyzing what he had seen previously. "That looked like the chest of a woman and it looked like I was being pulled toward it. Either I wrongly recognized the object in front of me, or this is heaven. Hehe". Abraham opened his eyes and looked around.

His sight was still blurry but now he could distinguish objects really close to him. Abraham continued to fight against the constant fainting through meditation.

Unknown to him, the following 2 months were extremely critical for him. According to all the doctors, Abraham would live for a maximum of 3-4 months. Even with meditation, he was just prolonging the inevitable.

During this time, Dracul has used most of his credit from the war to contact specialists all around the world but all of them have given a negative response to Abraham's survival.

3 months have elapsed, and like every time Abraham was awake, he tried his best to get feedback from his body. None seem to work so far. Today while he was moving his eyes around, he saw two faces close to him. The lady-like figure brought her hands closer to him, and strangely she was lifting something up.

Jane was lifting Abraham's hand to change his clothes.

"Wait, are those tiny hands, what are they doing on me, unless..." That is when reality struck him. How much he was denying himself, but all the clues, his blurry eyesight, his inability to move his body, and the breastfeeding pointed to only one thing. He was a baby.

Was this his retribution or a way the world was punishing him? Even after a lapse of time, he could not bring himself to accept such a harsh truth. It seem his life in the world was not over. What he was thinking now was if did he get back to when he was born or if was this a completely different body.

This time, closing his eyes, Abraham made his mind void of any thought. Slowly, he started imagining a baby's body. Its small arms, cute little feet, and a very sweet face.

Abraham started searching every nook and cranny inside his body. He decided to begin from the bottom of his feet and move upwards slowly.

Arriving at his stomach, Abraham tried again to gather the energy inside him. This time something miraculous happened. Faint glowing green particles were starting to light up and started converging towards his stomach. Given his full concentration, the green sparkling light formed a single ball of energy. Even together, they were smaller than a pea.

Immediately Abraham felt a surge of energy growing inside him. Being overpowered by it, he quickly dispersed the green particles thus everything returned to normal. He repeated the process multiple times until he fell exhausted and fell asleep. Abraham didn't realize that this time he didn't faint but really fell asleep.

Today Dracul was feeling really down, and after giving Albus his elder son dinner and making sure he went to bed, he came to the room of Abraham. To his astonishment, the baby's eyes were fully opened and it was moving around. As Dracul got closer, Abraham's eyes became fixed on him and a beautiful smile appeared on Abraham's face. That heavenly smile melted Dracul's heart.

It was a moment of pure ecstasy and drops of tears started to automatically flow out of his eyes. To even greater surprise, he found that Abraham was moving his left hand. His finger was giggling and it stop and the same motion started happening on his right hand. Dracul felt that the universe has finally blessed him with a miracle.

The child who fought against all odds and was defying death.

It has been 1 month since Abraham has felt the inner force inside him. At first, he was only gathering it to get a better grasp at feeling the process. When the process became natural, Abraham decided to move on to try moving the energy around his body. It proved to not be an easy feat but with constant trials, Abraham successfully moved it towards his eyes. Suddenly the world in front of him became clearer to the point where he was able to see the colors on the wall.

And today, he was doing the exact same thing when he noticed a man near him. The looked of worry on the man's face made Abraham guess that was the father of this body. He decided to reward the man with a bright smile.

Dracul felt like time had stopped and his focus was only on his baby. He continued to observe and did not disturb the baby, resisting his urge to take the baby from the incubator and holding him close to his chest. Dracul could not stop his smile from brightening as it looked like the baby was exercising his hand by pumping his fists alternatively. He felt like shouting and announcing to the world his happiness.

That night for the first time after nearly four months, Dracul had a peaceful sleep.

The next morning after breakfast with his elder son Albus, Dracul took him to his school. Afterward, he went directly to the hospital where Abraham was born and went directly to the doctor who took care of Abraham when he was born.

Upon seeing Dracul enter his cabinet, the doctor immediately recognized him, and seeing the look on Mr. Talen's face, the doctor knew the inevitable happened.

"My son Abraham died yesterday". The doctor found that Dracul could not face him when announcing the death of his son.
