80. Forget or not.

Abraham had been thinking a lot about how to treat the Leo and Zero situation. He extremely wanted to have Leo as a blooded just like in the canon Quinn got Leo, but Abraham was not able to devise a possible event for now to make Leo accept the vampire aura. Of course, Abraham could be forceful or use the influence skill to make Leo drink his blood, but Abraham was not that type of person.

After having carefully made them forget their conversation, Abraham left the cabin and started walking. After crossing another three cabins and taking a turn, he was out of sight.

Just as he disappeared, someone felt relief. A human could be seen standing near the window of a cabin next to the one where Abraham, Leo, and Zero were at. That person was none other than Happy.

After Abraham has followed her master and Leo inside the cabin, Happy has got inside the cabin just next to it. With her ear pressed against the wall, she strained to catch every word exchanged. Thanks to her Qi training, she was able to listen to the entire conversation.

Hearing that a dalki attack was going to happen on the planet was such a shock. It has only been a day since Abraham came to the settlement, but her mind had seen been going through a storm.

After listening to everything, she made sure that Abraham was out of sight first before moving from the wall. What was even surprised more to her was that Abraham was able to make Leo and her Master forget about the whole conversation.

As Happy turned to exit the cabin, her heart raced, her breath caught in her throat, and her eyes widened with surprise. Inside the room, there was the shadow of a figure at the opposite end. As the figure moved a little, Happy saw exactly who that was.

Standing in front of her was Abraham.

She could not comprehend how the latter was inside. She has just seen Abraham leave with her own eyes. On top of that, she did not hear the cabin door open for someone to get inside.

When Abraham got inside the cabin with Leo and Zero, he saw Happy following them and getting inside the next cabin through his dragon vision. When he left the cabin and walked a distance, Abraham used the shadow ability to travel inside the cabin that Happy was in.

"You know for such a sweet girl like you, eavesdropping is such a bad manner." While talking Abraham continued to approach Happy closing the distance between them. At that time Happy felt trapped, and she involuntarily stepped back with her back almost against the wall.

Abraham, undeterred by her retreat, maintained his steady approach. His eyes bore into hers and his hand reached out, lightly resting against the wall beside her, effectively trapping her between his presence and the solid surface behind her.

There was a moment of silence, filled only with the sound of their mingling breaths. With a faint trembling voice, Happy let out her plead. "Please don't make me forget."

She has already convinced herself that Abraham had the ability to make others forget. Else, both Leo and Master Sabre would not have remained silent like that after the end of the conversation between them and Abraham.

Happy held her breath, unsure of what Abraham's next move would be.

"As you were listening since the start, you should know that I told them a dalki attack will happen. That is the future that I know of. But it is only predictable only if the set of the event remains the same. If I let you keep these memories, there may be greater consequences. The attack may happen even earlier when I don't expect it. Or there may be more dalki or a higher spike dalki in the attack. Are you willing to bear those consequences?"

"I.." listening to Abraham, Happy could not find the words to respond. Happy felt a mixture of emotions coursing through her veins.

"How do you plan to stop the attack, will you bring a whole army?" Happy wanted to know first, even if you will forget, how Abraham plan to stop the attack.

"I, alone will be enough." It may look like Abraham was boosting and overconfident, but he knew for sure that he was enough. Maybe when the time came he would be fighting alone but Abraham was confident that he could take on the attack alone.

"There is only one way for you to keep those memories. On top of that, you will be able to train harder to prepare for the fight. But in return, you will have to do a sacrifice. You will need to leave the planet and come with me. This would not affect the course of events and at the same time you will be able to prepare for the attack. What do you say?"

After a moment of contemplation, Happy met Abraham's gaze with unwavering determination. Her voice, though filled with a mixture of apprehension and resolve, rang out with clarity.

"Abraham, I choose to keep these memories and take this opportunity to prepare for the future." Their faces remained mere inches apart, their eyes locked in an intense gaze.

Abraham could see the redness increasing on Happy's cheek.

Then, with a subtle shift, a soft smile tugged at the corners of Abraham's lips. With a gentle nod, Abraham took a step back, creating a slight distance between them.

"Prepare yourself to leave. I'm going to talk with Pele. If he agrees, he will be going with us. As for the reason for you leaving with me, you can just confirm with the other that your love for me is genuine and you, as my girlfriend have decided to follow me." with a very mischievous smile Abraham said that and left the room.
