43. Family quest

There was something Abraham wanted to try. If the dalki's blood was a substitute for human blood, then was a ghoul able to consume the dalki's flesh instead of a human? Abraham took the closest dalki's body from them; the one-spike dalki. He separated an arm from the body and brought it towards Robert.

The latter was still deep in his thought when he felt something land just in front of him. When looking at the arm, he felt a sudden sensation deep inside his stomach. It wasn't the green blood but what lay beneath it that cause the hunger. The pink line of muscle fiber and fatty cells.

Before he knew it he was digging in.

Robert feasted on a dalki's arm. He continued to rip chunks of flesh from the arm and shoved it in his mouth as if he had been deprived of food for weeks.

After the first piece of meat that Robert had consumed, Abraham received a message inside his system.

"You did the right thing. If you waited even for an hour a problem would arise. A ghoul can only eat meat off the bone of a living person or someone who had just died. Even after an hour, the meat would already be too old for Robert to consume." the system put forward the state of raw meat Robert could consume.

"System, is there any way for Robert to stop consuming meat? Any way at all?" Abraham asked.

"Of course there is, but you're not going to like the answer I'm about to give you." The system said. "Just like yourself when you consume blood, you grow stronger, the same goes for Robert when he eats human flesh or now dalki fresh. Although for him there is a limit. Eventually, he will grow so strong that he will be able to evolve and will no longer require human flesh."

Without waiting Abraham went to the second dalki's body present and threw it at Robert again.

Robert's eyes were immediately attracted to the three-spike dalki's body. As if presented with the most delicious meal, Robert threw away the piece of hand and started consuming the raw meat from the three-spike dalki. Then Abraham received another notification from the system.

After filling his stomach and the hunger was gone, it was now time for reality to hit Robert. Tears started to flow from his eyes as he looked at the dalki's body he has just eaten. He knew that cannibalism was something disgusting yet what he hated more was that he found it delicious to consume the dalki's flesh.

"Our body change when we become a vampire. Even for the first time, was having difficulties drinking a human's blood but after some time, I convinced myself that was the only way to get stronger and to survive.

A dalki blood or meat is currently being proven as a substitute for human meat. One of the good news I have for you is that you would have to always be keen on eating raw fresh. If you eat just five more from different people or dalki, then it will be enough. You have a choice. Either continue to cry and laments about your destiny or complete the requirement as soon as possible and just be done with it."

Abraham spoke in an authoritative tone. As Abraham was a teacher in his past life, he knew that different ways of talking were needed to have for different persons. Right now if he was sympathetic with Robert, the boy was not going to be able to convince himself.

After some time, Robert stood and gave a nod to Abraham.

It was time to move on to other things.

"Although you have super strength, your body is still just like humans, made of regular bones and flesh. If you attack at full power, you will end up hurting yourself, breaking a bone, and having your arms twisted. Even humans break their bones when they fight, so for you with your extra strength, it's a little worse. You're going to have to learn to control it. But what you have unlike humans is the regenerative ability."

After some explanation from Abraham, Robert got an idea of how to use his new body to fight. Then using the shadow teleport skill, Abraham and Robert returned to the human settlement. After getting inside the settlement, they went directly to meet the rest of the groups.

Once inside the Green family basement, both of them found Malia and Gwen sitting inside a room. After they came and explained all the things that happened to them, the Green duo has given them a guest room to stay and wait for Abraham and Robert.

Abraham had left the choice to Robert if he wanted to tell Gwen the truth about eating raw flesh to survive or to hide it from her. Abraham went to meet the Green and discuss with them further the perfume to make. The body smell of a human was very different from a vampire and with a vampire's high sense of odor, they distinguished vampires from humans. From his knowledge, Abraham knew that there were vampire spies among the human and he didn't want Robert to be found.

Abraham got the idea of body perfume from the original body as the son of Tom and Emily Green made the reverse body perfume. Instead of a spray to have the smell of a human, their child made one to make a human smell like a vampire. Thanks to that, the boy and other humans were able to infiltrate the vampire settlement with any issue.

When he came back to the guest room, he found that Malia has already left. Gwen stated that it was the first time she saw Malia in such a state and that Malia decided to have some time alone to spend by herself.

Sitting inside his room, Abraham was thinking about how to spend the comings day. He had the new quest for his dragon bloodline, his newly turned family, the dalki's situation, his visit to Arthur's tomb, and the vampire settlement.

On top of that, he did not have any contact with his brother for two years and he wanted to plan a visit to Albus.

He spent the rest of the day training his blood control and making the Qi energy he absorbed from the first dalki he met into his own. He even went online and had some fights inside the VR game.

Finally, he came to the conclusion of solving the current time bomb. Robert situation. He did not want a situation to arise where Robert would get out of control while he was not present. Abraham took the matter in hand to bring Robert the remaining 5 raw meat for him to evolve. After that Abraham would be able to adventure alone without having to worry about Robert attacking and eating a human by accident. As soon as Robert would evolve, Abraham was going to complete the dragon bloodline quest.
