Potentials

A few days after the wedding, all celebrations were completed and Andre along with his wife and mother returned back to Country F. It was really emotional for Laura when they were about to leave because she was sure that she would miss all of them so much. Aarna and her two cute children, the ever teasing Prem, the quiet but mischievous Priyom... All of them were unique in general. Aarna and her concluded that they would contact each other frequently. Laura found herself crying in the plane.

"Darling are you crying?" Andre asked her in awe after hearing her sniff a couple of times. He was sitting on a chair and completing a few paper works while she was on the bed, reading a book.

"No.." she sniffed again and Andre dropped the document in his hands and went to sit on the edge of the bed. Patting her head, he asked her.

"What's wrong?.."

"I'm going to miss all of them so much.. I'm not supposed to be this emotional and I don't even know why I'm crying. I guess I've created such a strong bond with all of them." She kept wiping her face and sniffling. Andre brihght his hand to his cheek and caressed it.

"I know you'll miss them a lot but you can always come here during festivals, then you'll get to see them all again. Okay?... my cute wife?" She blushed and nodded her head as she wiped her face. "You need to get some sleep hmm?" he added before standing up but Laura pulled him back.

"I want you to... cuddle me to sleep. You need to get some sleep too. Come on, come over here." she reached her hands out to him and he laid down beside her, her head resting on his chest and they both drifted off to sleep.

They got home and everything was back to normal except that their emotions were sorted out and all. Andre was very busy for the first few days that he resumed work, this was because he had gone for days abd there were issues that couldn't be attended to unless he was around. Laura would wait up for him and also try find her hidden talents while staying at home and they get naughty sometimes. Her mother-in-law realized that she had a very good fashion sense and would sometimes ask for her opinions on certain designs as well. Ishani lived not too far away but she was on her two week long honeymoon in another country and Laura was constantly in touch with Aarna. She spent good times with their housekeeper too, as she would tell him things that Andre like and those he didn't, how he liked things to be placed and what he didn't want around him. Even though it has been over a month and even though she was a fast learner, she was taking her time to learn. She busied herself with her books as well.

One night, Laura decided to have a discussion with Andre after he had arrived home and settled down.

"Avi?"

"Hmm?" he replied as he flipped through the pages of the document in his hand. He was sitting in his study, looking through a document with Laura sitting on his lap.

"I was actually thinking of being an author.." she said in a nervous tone.

"Really?... why?" he dropped the document on the table so he could listen to her and hear the reason behind her decision. He tucked her hair behind her ear and waited for her to talk.

"I've actually loved writing since I was a child, I would scribble short stories in little notes and keep them. I just love writing.... a lot. I was actually thinking of writing business themed books but then I thought to tell you what was on my mind and for you to guide me as well."

He stared at her for a while, feeling very happy. The fact that she wanted to do what she has always loved made his heart well up and he decided to help her in any ways he could "Alright, I will always support you in whatever you want to do. Just don't hesitate to ask for assistance from me or keep me updated okay?"

She gave out a big smile as she hugged him tight "Alright..."

"So... tell me the ideas you have at the moment."

"Well.... you see ... I was thinking that.."

Andre listened attentively to everything she wanted to say and he chirped in when necessary, they both wrote a list and notes and they shared opinions. Laura went to sleep with a big smile on her face because she was really happy that her husband was helping and supporting her in whatever she did. It felt good for her heart whenever they understood each other like this.
