Ruto guided me through the streets, people gave us some stares but then looked the other way, and when we reached our destination, we only found Emma.

"Where's Urgan?"

Both Emma and Ruto pointed at Urgan.

"Oh, how much?" I stopped approaching Urgan and turned to Emma.

"Oh, that'll be a piece of cake." I laughed.

"Let me think for a second…" I asked.

Fighting them head-on is basically suicide, but I still need that tobacco, I need to find a way to get them out of the area… Attract them to a single spot while still doing damage…

"Yes, boss?" She asked.

"Follow me, we're having a little talk with aunt. You two, I want to know every single thing about this place, even the useful people." I ordered.

I opened the door, Aunt was tidying her hair while looking in the mirror.

"Aunt, I want a favor." I said while looking at the ground.

"Oh? I thought that you little rascal don't want to owe me nothing." She chuckled, and she was right, I don't think that I can pay back the things she provided me after my mother abandoned me.

"Yes, but I'm confident that by using this favor, I can pay everything you've done back."

"Ohoho, I see; if so then I don't mind helping my adorable nephew. What do you need?" She said.

"Do you have any flammable objects or explosives?" I clenched my teeth, there's a high chance of denial, as explosives can get expensive.

"No."

"Sigh, thanks for at least listening." I walked out of the room, thinking about how I can get that plant.

"You can check the basement if you want. Catch." She threw a key at me, a key that I never thought would be allowed in my hands.

"Why-"

"Don't question it, I didn't question the explosives." She laughed and left the room.

"What's wrong, boss?" Asked Emma, she had never seen me this bewildered.

"Aunt never allowed us into the basement, never, and she never gave us a reason. For her to give me the key for that basement is… weird." I replied.

The basement door is covered by aunt's bed, we discovered it when Urgan and I played hide and seek, but she never unlocked it for us.

I pushed the bed out of the way, and under it was an iron black door, I unlocked it, and what welcomed me was a chain of stairs that go down, it was so dark down there that I could only see the first 6 stairs.

"This place seems to be a bit… creepy." Remarked Emma, well that's normal as she fears darkness.

"Hold my hand and go down with me, don't touch anything." I replied, she seemed to hesitate a bit, she then gave her face a few light smacks and held my hand with a blush.

"I-I'm ready!" She said while hiding her face.

I took the first step in, and she followed, the more we advanced, the blacker the area became until it was all pitch black.

It continued our path for more than 5 mins, until I couldn't feel any stairs to step on.

"We reached the floor." I announced, I still couldn't see anything, so I just reached for the walls and felt them, in hope of recognizing anything.

Suddenly, I felt something curved and smooth, I tried to lightly press onto its curved tip, and I felt no resistance, so I just pushed it.

Lamps above us lit, 5 of them at a time until it brightened all the room.

"What the hell…" Muttered Emma as she analyzed her surroundings.

The walls and floor, it was all white, multiple shelves had labeled glass containers that held some substances in them, counters covered the edges of the room, and on top of these counters were some kind of glass objects.

"What's this place?"

"We've hit the jackpot, Emma! The jackpot!" I said as I investigated every single spot of this room.

"What do you mean?" Questioned as she stood beside me.

"Emma do you know what this is?" I asked as I gave her one of the containers.

"No…"

"This is sulfuric acid, we've just taken a step into a lab! MMM! Even the air feels fresh!" I acted just like a child who got a new toy, I examined each little detail the room had, all while drooling.

[Holy fuck mate, I stop paying attention to what you do for a couple of hours, and then you find a goddamn science lab in a 1800s world, what the fuck!]
