Chapter 6

"Raffle now!" Adrien immediately made his choice. Then, six gift boxes appeared in his mind, each with a different color and pattern. The first one was a few sheets of paper, the second was a hammer, the third was a glass of water, the Forth was a square, the fifth one was a pattern looked like a fruit, and the last one was in a shape of pants.

'What are these, System?' Adrien asked.

[Ding! Host, the system cannot answer that. This is a raffle, and whatever you get is what you get!] 

Adrien understood the rules. It was a Raffle, and he had been lucky recently, even wining something from the system. So, he would randomly choose one of the gift boxes, thinking that any of them would be great!

He closed his eyes and clicked on one of the boxes.

He happened to choose a first one, which had the appearance of several sheets of paper.

[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for obtaining 79% of the shares in Corestar Group! The share transfer is in progress. Please wait …..]

[Ding! The transfer is complete! Please check the contract file!]

As soon as the system finished speaking, Adrien felt like a folder suddenly appeared in his hands. 

He opened the folder and found all the information about Corestar Group, including an introduction of the company, its global business scope, financial statements, and detail about the people involved.

Adrien majored in finance in college, which was not related to Corestar Group at all. However, it did not affect Adrien's plans for his company!

Adrien saw from Corestar Group's financial statements that its annual profit was approximately from 40 Million to 160 Million Dollars and was very stable. The company's main business were hotels, tourism, and export trade, as well as amusement parks and some land development projects.

With a simple understanding of Corestar Group, Adrien did not plan to manipulate or provide advice on how the company should operate. After all, the Company was already running smoothly, and he did not want to make things worse by interfering.

Lilianne Olson was sitting in the general manager's office of Corestar Group headquarters, sorting out the day's work material, when her secretary rushed in.

"Ms. Olson! Something big has happened!" the secretary exclaimed.

Looking at Cella in front of her, Lilianne felt somewhat speechless. "Cella, we've been working together for six years. Why are you still flustered when handling matters?"

"Ms. Olson, it's really serious this time. A mysterious person bought 79% of our total shares in one go. He is now largest shareholder and chairman of Cosrestar Group!" Cella said.

"What?! What about the other shareholders?" Lilianne asked.

"They had gradually sold their company stock earlier. Now, with your shares and few other shareholders, you barely hold a 6% stake. Another 15% is still circulating in the stock market!" Cella replied.

Hearing Cella's report, Lilianne also felt a little panicked. Cosrestar Group had been established for years, found by Roland Olson, Lilianne's father, and his friends.

After taking the huge company alone, Lilianne did not expect that it could be taken away in an instant by someone else! She found it hard to accept!

"Ms. Olson. Here is the new owner's contact information and profile!"

Cella handed Lilianne a piece of paper that had Adrien's information on it. However, there was no information about his family, work experience, or assets.

"He's 22 years old! He's only 22 years old! Is he from some big family or what?" Lilianne was shocked!

"Cella, you can go out first. I'll contact... um, the new chairman, and see what's going on!" Lilianne said.

"Yes, Ms. Olson!"

Hesitating for a long time, Lilianne finally made the call.

"Hello? Who's this?" Adrien looked at the unfamiliar caller and press the answer button.

"Hello, Mr. Higgins. This is Lilianne Olson, the general manager of Corestar Group. I just received news that you purchased 79% of our company's shares, so I wanted to get to know you and discuss when would be a good time for you to visit Corestar Group."

"Oh. It's too late today, and I might have something to do tomorrow. Saturday is your day off, so how about next week?"

"Okay, Mr. Higgins. Can I add you on Whatsapp? You can notify me on whatsapp before you come next week, and I can arrange everything in advance. It will also be convenient for us to report to you in the future!"

"Sure, you already have my phone number."

"Okay, Mr. Higgins. Thank you! See you next week!"

Adrien Hung up the phone and felt a bit puzzled. He still was not use to his new role as a Boss. 

Waiting for Adrien to hang up, Lilianne finally dared to hang up as well. Taking a deep breath, she heard Adrien's attitude and tone, which seem like he was really a young man who was easy to talk to.

Looking at the time on his phone, Adrien realized it was almost 6 pm. He needed to leave as he had plans to meet his three roommates!

Wearing his new clothes, Adrien called for a taxi and went to the restaurant near the north gate of Reburg University.

As soon as he entered the restaurant, Kamron greeted him.

"Here, Adrien!"

Gilerto Cooper also turned around and looked at Adrien approaching them. He patted Adrien on the shoulder and smiled.

"What the hell, Adrien! This outfit! It's Fendi! And it's not fake! It cost several thousands of Dollars! What's going on with you??" Gilberto was shocked!

"Yeah, Adrien what's with this outfit and the new phone? Did you get picked up by a rich woman or something?" Kamron asked, looking at Adrien's phone.

"Nothing like that! I just set myself free!"

"What's going on, man? I heard that Carrie Archer is with an old man now! She even posted it on her Instagram!" Gilberto said.

"Gilberto, why are you bringing that up?" Kamron stared at Gilberto.

Gilberto ignored Kamron and continue, "It's not worth it. You've been working hard for three years, from sophomore year to senior year. We all saw how hard it was for you. You spent your money on her, but she never took you seriously! You can only live well if you leave her!"

"That's right, I also think so. I ended things with her. I feel free now. I've been working hard for these past few years and spent all my money on her. I need to treat myself better with the money I have left. And Kamron, today is my treat! In the past four years, you guys have taken care of me. If I become successful and wealthy in the future, I won't forget you guys! Where's Kolten?"

Kamron wanted to speak, but Adrien pressed him down with his hand when he heard that Adrien would pay for everything.

"Kolten is stuck in traffic! He'll be here soon!" Gilberto showed them a message on whatsapp.
