Chapter XIII: Terrors.

Last Time.

Naruto's Penthouse; September 12, 23:45 EDT.

Artemis and Spoiler ran out of the elevator in the hall closet before going to their room where he heard retching. "Oh, Naruto how was... Holy crap what is that smell?" Paula said walking in only to reel back from the smell of Naruto.

"Don't ask." He said before walking to the restroom to take a shower.

"You should really burn your clothes, I don't think we can save them!" She yelled as she heard the shower cut on.

Later, Naruto in his pajama pants walked out towel drying his hair as Paula threw the bag containing his clothes down the trash chute. "We wouldn't be able to explain why clothes that look like Kage's are covered in slime, and blood after he was eaten... Plus I couldn't get close enough to set it on fire." Naruto quickly looked at her, horrified.

"What?"

She pointed to the TV as it showed him bursting out of the snake. "Oh come on!" He yelled as he slumped, and a storm cloud formed over his head.

"What happened with Kobra?" Paula asked as Naruto sighed.

"We never found him... We're thinking he died... Or disappeared so he wouldn't be caught." He explained before walking to the living room, sat down on the couch, and watched TV.

Now.

Mount Justice; September 13, 17:00 EDT.

"Recognized: Kage, 17."

Kage walked into the Cave pulling his hood off. He took off his quiver, and coat before rubbing his neck, and sat down on the couch. "Everything OK Naruto?" Naruto looked over and saw M'gann in her civilian clothes at the kitchen stirring something in a bowl.

Naruto nodded before leaning his head back to look at the ceiling. "Yeah. Copperhead was just tasked by Ra's to go after some scientist in Gotham." He replied until a deep voice spoke up.

"Still haven't found out what they're up to?"

Naruto looked towards the hall to see a fox walking in. "No Kurama... They're starting to suspect something since I've found them out sooner so my informant isn't getting anything real high up."

"They're keeping their plan for their 'inner circle'. I told my informant to lay low for a while to let things cool." He felt someone sit beside him, before looking over and saw M'gann.

"You know... You never did tell me about Kurama." Naruto smiled before explaining.

"It started on the day I was born.."

New Orleans; September 14, 16:53 CDT.

Two teens, a male, and a female crashed into a Mardi Gras parade company building and groaned as they sat up.

The male has blond hair, with one line shaved across his temples and blue eyes. He's wearing multiple earrings. He's wearing a white sleeveless shirt, black pants, boots, and red suspenders. He has a padlock on a chain around his neck and black fingerless gloves.

The girl looks like him with long blonde hair, which she keeps in a ponytail and has two lines shaved across her temples. She's wearing excessive makeup, including purple lipstick, and has multiple earrings, one of which is a safety pin. She's also wearing a white top and a black plaid skirt, held up by red suspenders. She's wearing boots, torn stockings, and fingerless gloves that reach towards her elbows.

Suddenly, Aqualad and Naruto put black metal collars around their necks and held their hands behind their backs.

The boy groaned trying to break free. "That don't feel right." He said in a thick Southern accent.

(A/N: I won't write the accent, the "Ah" instead of "I" because I wouldn't remember it. So please imagine it.)

Naruto looked to the girl as the male spoke up again. "My strength... But I just gone toe-to-toe with Superman."

"Well, Tuppence. I see you grew your hair out since I last saw you." (1.) Naruto said as Tuppence looked away while Wonder Girl, and Superboy, now dressed as the male walked up.

"That's more quality time than he's spent with me." Wonder Girl glanced at him before walking up, and study Tuppence as Superboy smirked.

"Got your inspiration... Sister Tuppence?" He asked in a Southern accent before Wonder Girl was engulfed in smoke.

"I believe I do... Brother Tommy." She replied back in a Southern accent looking like Tuppence as Tommy looked shocked.

"What the hell is this?!" He asked as Batman walked out of the shadows, and put a collar on Wonder Girl, and Superboy.

"Simple... They're under arrest." He said as Miss Martian, and Red Tornado floated down from the rafters.

"Don't worry you two," Naruto said escorting them out. "We'll make sure you're not harmed and are treated well. Especially Tuppence." Tommy growled before looking at Naruto.

"Stop hitting on my sister!"

Naruto rolled his eyes at Tommy. "Can you blame me? She is such a beautiful southern belle." Naruto replied making Tuppence blush. "Besides. This 'big brother' thing going to bite you in the ass when she finally does find someone she wants to be with."

They walked out to where Superman and Martian Manhunter were waiting in front of a van to take the twins away.

Belle Reve Parish; September 16, 21:55 CDT.

Naruto, now disguised as a guard with black hair, and a scar running across his face looked at the other prisoners in the truck with Icicle Jr. and Mr. Freeze. A blue-skinned, bald man with a dome over his head. Naruto heard a kissing sound and looked to see Icicle Jr. hitting on Wonder Girl.

(A/N: So there's no confusion I'll use their real names instead of Tommy, and Tuppence.)

"I can't believe this is the guard I have to impersonate." Naruto heard Miss Martian say through their link before looking over at her.

She's impersonating a female guard with short black hair, blue eyes, and earrings. The reason for her complaining is because she has C-cup breasts with a few buttons undone showing her cleavage.

"Oh come on Miss Martian. You look fine."

"Of course you would say that... Every male in this prison is going to be eyeing me." She replied back as Naruto shrugged.

"So… You going to tell her you switched pictures before Batman saw them?" Kurama asked as he cut off the link for a moment.

"No... No, I am not." He replied making Kurama snort.

"You should get with her soon... Be interesting role-play in the bedroom." Naruto mentally sighed at that before remembering the mission briefing.

"Ero-Kitsune. (Perverted Fox.)"

(Flashback.)

Mount Justice; September 13, 20:00 EDT.

Naruto, Batman, with Superman who stood off to the side was explaining their next mission.

"This past Fourth of July. Four ice-themed villains staged simultaneous attacks in four strategic places." Batman explained bringing up the pictures of Mr. Freeze, Icicle Jr., and two other people, a man, and a woman. The man has a shaved head and wearing blue-trimmed goggles.

The woman has blue skin and dark blue short hair.

"Mr. Freeze, Icicle Jr., Killer Frost, and Captain Cold were all apprehended easily. Perhaps too Easily.." Batman brought up Frost's and Cold's picture, and prison, as he continued. "Cold and Frost are heading to their cells at Belle Reve. A prison housing Super-criminals.. the seventeen-year-old Icicle Jr. was sent to a Juvenal facility and Mr. Freeze to his cell at Arkham Asylum. But Fries petition the court to be declared legally sane, and Jr. sued to be tried as an adult."

Naruto walked forward and continued after Batman. "And they're all going to Belle Reve... We believe that something bigger is going down. And are sending Superboy, and Wonder Girl undercover as the Terror Twins." He looked to the others and continued.

"Miss Martian and I will pose as guards so she can keep the link-up, and I'll be back up inside as Aqualad, and Red Tornado stays in the Bio-ship outside." Aqualad walked forward before speaking.

"Who will know on the inside?" Batman walked up and sighed. "No one... We can't be certain the staff isn't compromised."

(Flashback End.)

"Dude."

Naruto was pulled out of his thoughts as Icicle looked at Superboy. "Your sister is sweeet. Can you hook me up?"

Another African-American guard walked over and tried to hit Icicle Jr. before Naruto grabbed his hand. "Easy there... Don't want it getting out that we abuse our prisoners. Not only would you lose your job. But they'll take the other prisoners to other jails."

Later.

Naruto, Miss Martian, and the others walked into a room where two people were standing on the second floor.

The first person is a short, slightly overweight, African-American woman, with black hair clamped back into a ponytail. She's wearing an unbuttoned navy blue suit jacket, a light-blue shirt underneath, a pair of brownish earrings, and a black-tie. She's also wearing a knee-length navy blue skirt and black heels.

This is Amanda Waller.

The second person is a Caucasian, bald, dark brown-eyed male with a lanky body. He sports a gray beard and wearing small, round glasses with tinted lenses. He's wearing a black turtleneck sweater and a gray suit.

This is Dr. Hugo Strange.

The woman walked up to the balcony and spoke up. "I am the 'Law of Last Resort'... My name is Amanda Waller, and I am not your mother. Aunt.. Or your friend. I am your Warden. And you are my prisoners." She finished bringing up a remote making Naruto stiffen.

'Good thing I applied that seal to Donna to use Kurama's chakra for her Henge (Transformation) so she wouldn't lose it.' He thought before Amanda continued.

"The collars you wear prohibit your.. Unique powers. No strength. No ice. Also, the collars can and will be used to discipline inmates, you get one warning." She pressed a button, and the collars shocked the inmates. "A higher volt will render the inmate unconscious. And don't think about escaping Belle Reve's walls are thick enough to hold Superman... We know... We tried."

Before she could continue, the man cleared his throat. "Oh... This is Prof. Hugo Strange... He is your 'Aunt'."

Hugo walked up and smiled. "I prefer to be called a psychologist. I'm here to make a promise of sincere rehabilitation."

Later, after changing into their inmates' coveralls, they were put in their cells. Donna sighed before hearing a groan. She looked up and saw Frost lying on her stomach, looking at a book.

"And here I ask for no roommates." She said as Donna looked at the book.

"So... What'cha reading?" Frost smirked before showing the book to Donna, making her green.

The reason being is that the pages are full of photo-shopped pictures of her father, naked, with only his hooded coat on that's open.

'Holy crap! I'm going to go blind!' She thought as Frost took the book away smiling.

Morning, Prison Yard.

Naruto scanned the room seeing all the inmates, including several that the Team caught over the past two months. He looked to see Donna and Superboy walk in from their respective sides of the prison before noticing something's off. He picked his glasses' out of his pockets, and scanned an inmate with several others around him on the bleachers.

'Icicle Sr... I have a feeling you're the reason for the ice villains being here.'

Icicle Sr. appears to be a man in his late forties. He has grey hair and beard and brown eyes.

Naruto noticed two men walking to him, and raised an eyebrow. 'Edward Nigma A.K.A. the Riddler. Became a criminal in 2008.' (2.)

Edward's a thin man of medium height. He has brown eyes and brown hair in a flattop, a spiky quaff with long sideburns, and a rectangular head. He also has a gap between his two front teeth.

'Not that well like with other criminals either." He finished before looking at the other man. "Arthur Brown A.K.A. Cluemaster started earlier than Edward, and leaves clues instead of riddles, but he is a little more respected.' (3.)

Arthur's a tall man with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

He heard a noise and looked to see Superboy fighting several inmates until Sr. raised his hand. He brought Jr. over and talked with him as Frost stayed at the glass separating them. Naruto pressed a button, and a voice box came upon his lens as Sr. spoke.

"Alright listen… Now that we're all here. It's time to bust everyone out of Belle Reve." Naruto narrowed his eyes before sending the audio to Aqualad.

Later that Night.

Donna looked to see two new overalls come in through the slot of the door before getting up. She took off her old one as did Frost showing white t-shirts, and panties. "So..." Donna spoke as she pulled her overalls up. "When did you start having feelings for Kage?"

Frost paused for a moment before zipping her new overalls up and sighed. "A few years ago... When I was a part of the Suicide Squad." (4.)

She turned around, lifted her hair from her neck, and showed an 'X' shaped scar. "After the job, we were supposed to do at Arkham went south, and got the bomb chips offline. We all escaped during a breakout attempt. I tried escaping in a police car, but Bane chose that one and threw me at a wall. Kage was there as well, helping out along with Batman, and saved me from the exploding car."

Donna sighed before looking at her. "Look. I know how you can get in his good graces."

Later, Hugo Strange's Office.

Donna and Superboy were sitting in front of Hugo, who smiled at them. "Well... I think you're... 'Acting Out' is caused by some parental problems. Mother figure perhaps?" Wonder Girl glanced at Superboy before turning to Hugo.

"Well, it's more of a father figure, sir." Hugo nodded before leaning forward.

"Interesting... Go on."

"Or don't," Superboy said a little harshly as Hugo looked at him.

"Go on my dear." Wonder Girl sighed before explaining.

"Well, you see... Tommy really wants to be like our pa.. 'Feel his shoes' so to speak. But pa's distant at best. Barely giving Tommy the time of day. It makes Tommy feel unwor-!" She was then interrupted by Superboy, who stood up.

"Or maybe Tommy doesn't want to live in a fantasy world where every problem is solved in no time at all!" Wonder Girl reeled back before looking away as Hugo smiled before clapping his hands.

"Excellent. I think we've made real progress."

Later; Cafeteria, Woman's Side.

(A/N: I won't write Conner's part of the episode after meeting with Hugo since it'll stay canon.)

Wonder Girl sat down beside Frost who glanced at her from the corner of her eye. "How the hell are you sure Kage will be here?" She asked pointing to a TV with Cat Grant giving a report on the League. "I mean he isn't with the others that are on missions now... But that doesn't mean he'll be in the area. For all we know, he could be on monitor duty at the moment."

Wonder Girl glanced up at Miss Martian who's standing on the catwalk. "I've... Got some good information from before I got caught that he'll be close to here." They suddenly heard someone fighting, and saw Fries fighting Sr. before being shocked, and taken away by guards.

"Well... It looks like it's starting." Frost said before leaning in and telling her the plan. After telling her, Wonder Girl looked up to Miss, Martian, and spoke through the link.

"They're smuggling in Mr. Freezes, Sr's., and Cold's gloves, and are planning to freeze the doors and use the ones who have super strength to smash through them." Miss Martian nodded before leaving to follow the other guards.

A Few Hours Later.

Wonder Girl looked at the vents as cold air, and a little ice came through them. "So... Where are we going?" She asked as a heavyset muscular Caucasian woman with blue eyes and brown hair walked beside them.

Her hair is arranged in cornrows and shaved on the sides. She also has thorn tattoos on the left side of her body from her eye down.

Frost looked at her and explained. "We're going to the laundry room, and breaking into the other side of the prison to help break through the main door."

On their way to the laundry room, a female guard tried to stop them but Shimmer jumped to her and tried to stab her with a shiv. Only for Wonder Girl to stop her, and punch her into a wall. The other inmates looked shocked at her, before charging.

Frost cursed under her breath before freezing the women from the neck down to the wall and turned to see Wonder Girl fighting against the woman who was walking with them earlier. She took aim and was tackled as she shot her ice hitting both Wonder Girl and the woman.

A Few Minutes Later.

Superboy and Icicle Jr. bursts through the wall and looked around. Dude what's the prob..." Icicle Jr. stopped seeing Wonder Girl frozen in a fighting pose. "Oh, dude... I'm sorry... And she was so hot too..." Superboy walked up, and pulled his fist back, only for Junior to stop him. "Wait! You'll break her into a million pieces." Superboy looked on at her before noticing orange pigmentation around her eyes.

The ice suddenly cracked, and she fell out and was gasping for breath. Conner ran to her and used his x-ray to check her lungs. "Crap." He leaned down and gave her C.P.R. for a moment, and she coughed before looking up to him. "I thought I lo.." He was cut off as Wonder Girl pulled him down for a kiss.

"Dude... That's your sister you're..." Icicle Jr. stopped as smoke engulfed them, and Wonder Girl returned to her original form. "Is that..? But that means... Oh, dad is going to kill me."

Naruto And Miss Martian A Few Minutes Earlier.

Naruto held Miss Martian as they, Amanda, Hugo, and a few other guards were in a cell as ice-cold air came through the vents. Suddenly, Sr. and Mr. Freeze ran in, and Sr. grabbed Amanda. "Tell me.." That's as far as he got until Naruto punched him before transforming back to his original form.

"I've been waiting for you to come back in here bastard."

Freeze lifted his gloved hand before being pushed out of the cell, and into the wall by Miss Martian. "Now then, let's get to the others." They ran to where they would be and saw Superboy kissing Wonder Girl.

"Hey, he..." Naruto was cut off as Miss Martian pulled him in for a quick kiss. She looked to Wonder Girl and spoke through the link.

"You owe me. Just saved you and Conner from him."

Naruto noticing something pulled back and saw a woman frozen from the neck down to the wall along with a few female inmates knocked out. He looked and saw Frost looking down. "I'm guessing you did this?" Wonder Girl walked up to him and explained.

"I was able to talk her into helping us... She likes you, dad... I learned that the... The hard way." She said gagging a little making Frost blush.

"Well... I thank you for doing that... That'll shave time off your sentence. At least you didn't have to worry about your head blowing off like last time. " He said smiling at her before walking out with the others.

Later, Warden's Office.

Hugo threw Amanda's nameplate away as he puts his new one on the desk with 'WARDEN' on it. "Belle Reve will be fully operational tomorrow. All prisoners are accounted for. Except for the Riddler and Cluemaster. They manage to escape. Still, you must be disappointed?" He explained as Sr. walked out of the shadows smiling.

"Me? You smuggled everything in... You had as much to lose as we did."

"We may have been beaten. But the main objectives were reached." He finished shaking Hugo's hand.

"And the Light will be pleased," Hugo said as Sr. walked out, neither noticing a small microphone in the vent above them.

Mount Justice, September 18, 20:00 EDT.

Naruto, along with Batman looked at the audio playing on the screen of what transpired in Belle Reve. "This will give us heads up on some of their plans... And Hugo will take any blame if we're found out." Naruto said as Batman nodded.

"Yes... We'll just wait for any good leads from it.. Or find out why getting control of the prison is vital."
