Chapter 109

"So… I know we've been busy lately with all the festival preparations and classes and all, but I think this a pretty important team meeting to have," Jaune started somewhat awkwardly, clearing his throat as he sat on his bed, looking at the rest of his Team all arrayed around him- Nora sat on the floor, Ren leaning against the wall, and Pyrrha standing by his side.

"You didn't say what it was, just that it was important. What's going on?" Ren asked, raising an eyebrow at Jaune as he shifted around slightly, arms crossed as he questioned the blond.

"Yeah! You sounded super serious! Is it something bad? Oh! Is Pyrrha finally getting sucked into that super conspiracy that Professor Branwen told us about?" Nora cut in, jumping up slightly and raising her hand as she waved to get Jaune's attention.

"Uh… no. Not… but uh… I mean that one's pretty important but we should really talk about it later… um… no uh…"

Jaune gulped, clenching his fists together with his fingers intertwined, looking down at his lap for a moment before turning to face Nora and Ren specifically. "So um… this is kind of an awkward situation but… Ren, Nora; Pyrrha and I were talking…"

"Oh oh! Is it polyamory time!?" Nora jumped to her feet and immediately tackled Jaune down to the bed, cutting straight to the heart of the matter as she was wont to do and pinning the blond in place as she held his wrists together in one hand above his head, bouncing excitedly on his gut as she straddled him. "Because Ren and I were talking about it too! See cuz I know we've only been together for a really short time when you really think about it but it's honestly kinda felt like it's been for ever and you're good people and you really care about us and you're really nice and honestly really kinda cute in a bit of a scruffy way! Also I bet you clean up super well and moan really cute when you take it in the bu-"

"Nora! Too much information!" Ren groaned, palming his face as he shook his head, pushing himself off of the wall and nodding at Pyrrha in his own special way of agreeing with Nora's words… up to a certain point. "But… I agree. It's been a short time but, even then… it's been fun. You two make us feel like we belong, moreso than anyone else we've met before. Usually… it always felt like either my silence or Nora's energy would drive people away and they would be uneasy around us, as though we were too much or too little to be friends with. You… Pyrrha, Jaune… you two never try to make us act in ways we don't want to, don't try to force us to be more normal. You've stood by our sides and… Yes, you're both very attractive too. Nora and I have spoken about this, just as you and Jaune seem to have as well. We'll gladly join you- though, I suppose it's a bit redundant, when we're all on the same team."

"JNPR poly! JNPR poly!" Nora cheered, jumping up and cheering as she bounced above Jaune, then bodily tackled Pyrrha into a flying hug with her momentum and almost knocked Pyrrha over- though, thankfully, she remained standing.

"Well. I guess that clears up all of that," Pyrrha blushed, hanging onto Nora as her fellow redhead kicked and scrambled her way into a bridal carry. Said blush became even brighter as Nora took the time to kiss Pyrrha right on the cheek, while Ren moved over and sat down by Jaune and patted him on the thigh in commiseration over Nora's overwhelming energy.

"There there, you'll get used to her eventually," Ren murmured quietly, laughing a bit as he decided to lay back next to Jaune while Nora and Pyrrha spun around as if dancing around the room. "Are you alright? You haven't said anything since Nora tackled you."

Jaune blinked slowly, still in the position that Nora had put him in and blushing bright red as he stared up at the ceiling.

"Ren, my faithful, first, and so far best guy friend who used to be pretty much my only guy friend before we met Mercury and Team SSSN?" he started, voice flat and strangely high pitched as he just laid there, limp like a noodle and trembling slightly as he turned to face Ren with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Yes, Jaune? Is… something wrong?" Ren asked, tilting his head to the side slowly as he poked Jaune's arm, noting rather dimly in the back of his mind that Jaune was getting quite solid in a way that kinda made him want to grab onto the blond's bicep and squeeze . Or his chest, for that matter.

"No, no… I just… when Nora was bouncing on me like that… I… think I just found out… that… I might have a thing for um… for strong women manhandling me? Like… my heart's beating really fast right now…" Jaune mumbled, blushing even brighter and breathing somewhat heavily as he slowly, slowly sat up and crossed his legs slightly as his hands came down to cover his crotch. "Um…"

"... Yeah. I understand. Nora is… very good for that," Ren blushed, clearing his throat and crossing his legs as well as he watched Pyrrha and Nora dance around, both girls laughing and blushing as Nora continued to pepper Pyrrha's face with kisses and lifting the taller girl up so she could spin them around. "Pyrrha as well, I assume?"

"The other day she beat the crap out of me during sparring practice and then bridal carried me all the way back to the co-ed showers, then undressed me and helped me shower," Jaune deadpanned.

"... Ah."

"Yeah."

"... So… if Nora cares for you and Pyrrha, and you care for Pyrrha and Nora… what about us two?" Ren asked calmly, folding his hands in his lap and pursing his lips as he tucked a strand of hair behind his ear, pink eyes narrowing slightly in thought as he looked Jaune up and down. "As I recall, all four of us are bisexual, so…"

"Ren, if you asked me out on a date right now and told me to wear a dress I would."

"... Ah."

"You're really pretty, really cool, and honestly I'm pretty sure I'm a sub because I kinda… also want you to pin me down and order me around," Jaune admitted quietly, poking his fingers together and clearing his throat a bit as he scooted back a little and sat cross legged on his bed- shoes off, of course, because he wasn't a savage and even if it was his bed he didn't want to get his blankets dirty. "I'm pretty sure you could actually."

"I'm… not stronger than you, Jaune. I might be faster and more agile, but you already bench more than I do," Ren pointed out dryly, reaching out and holding onto Jaune's hand with a faint smile, squeezing gently and shaking his head. "But I get what you mean. Thank you. I was… I would have been fine if it was a situation where we would just be doing group dates and the two of us weren't entirely in a relationship, but to know that you're interested in me and not just as a metamour… It… is very nice."

"Hey, you're my bro, my buddy, and my bestie," Jaune snorted, withdrawing his hand from Ren's grasp temporarily and bumping his fist against Ren's shoulder with a grin. "What kinda boyfriend would I be if I didn't wanna hang out and go on dates with my girlfriend's boyfriend, huh? Team JNPR's gotta stick together."

"Agreed. Still. It's nice that you think of me like that. I… think of you that way too," Ren smiled, leaning over and bumping his forehead against Jaune's as they settled in together, hand in hand.

"Oh good! You guys are doing it too!" Nora cheered, hopping out of Pyrrha's arms and tackling both Jaune and Ren down onto the bed again with a wild squee of joy, laughing as she kissed Ren and Jaune in turn and motioned for Pyrrha to join them. "Sweet! We got a whole team poly going on!"

"We do indeed seem polysaturated," Pyrrha mentioned idly, helping shuffle everyone around until they were all laying in bed properly in a group cuddle, joining them a moment later as she slipped into the center so Jaune and Ren sandwiched both her and Nora- funnily enough, in the exact order of their team name as well. "I can only hope that we stay that way for a good long while. It's… nice being together with you all, and I can't imagine wanting to lose any of you- not in my lifetime at least."

"Same here," Jaune nodded, receiving an affirmative giggle from Nora and a nod from Ren as well. "I love you guys, and that's not gonna change anytime soon."

"Woo! Team JNPR Poly!"

"Woo!"

"Woo!"

"Woo."

"... We should uh… probably actually get some studying done before tomorrow's quiz though," Jaune pointed out after a moment of them all pressing together as close as they could to make sure they could cuddle in Jaune's bed. "... Also I'm not sure if my bed's stable enough for all four of- WAH!"

Unfortunately for Jaune, that was the exact moment that the bed slats broke.
