My Siren(BL)

What happens when myth meets reality? On the night of his father's grand Hotel opening, Aiden had gone out to the sea with his friends to escape the noisy crowd in the hotel that disturbed his peace. Out on the sea and out of boredom, he had decided to try out something he had never done all his life: fishing. In the middle of the night... along the offshore zone of the sea, the fishing net was casted into the sea. When something tugged at the net, his friends quickly pulled it up and into the boat before it could escape back into the ocean With a sense of achievement, they looked at the net to see what they had caught and to their suprise... ----- Aiden walked up to kai who laid motionless on the cold floor after being pulled out of his tank by his tail. His wet golden coloured hair sprawled and stuck to his pale white skin as the water droplets trickled down to the ground. Aided squatted in front of him and gently pushed back the loose strands of wet hair that shielded his face. Holding onto kai's chin, he tilted his head up so he could look back at him. Upon seeing the hateful gaze of the young merman directed at him, a sly grin appeared on his face "Let me go." Kai said through gritted teeth causing Aidens smile to broaden. Caressing his cheeks softly, he leaned closer to the dripping man and whispered softly into his ears in a deep dulcet voice "No-" [Readers discretion is strongly advised]

Face slapping. 1

As soon as Kai stood up when the lecturer called out for him, Jenny and Rachel turned their line of sight to him just like the whole class.

When her eyes fell on the boys face and she saw those blue eyes, Jenny instantly drew in her breath... It was really him... having seen him up close, there was no way she could be mistaken.

"It's really him." she whispered to Rachel beside her "What the fuck? Did he really follow Aiden to school? I mean the guy literally kidnapped him."

"That's Not even the only thing I'm worried about." Jenny said as they continue to watch the duo by the window. They saw Aiden ruffle the boys hair and the latter just smiled brightly at this. What the hell was she seeing? Had their relationship already gone that far?

"Since when did they get so close?" Rachel whispered but Jenny didn't reply... how was she supposed to know?

Maybe she had been staring for too long and had now drawn aidens attention. He moved his gaze to Jenny who still stared back at him not withstanding, his golden brown orbs holding mirth as he saw the shocked expression on the woman's face, He couldn't help but smile at her before he turned his attention back to the class.

Jenny did the same... They had all made up their minds to ignore the young master and that was exactly what she planned to do.

After hours of non-stop lectures. It was finally the time that signalled their launch break.

"That's all for today. I'll see you tomorrow and make sure to get your answer sheets done by the end of today and submit them first thing tomorrow."

As the lecturer said this, the whole class groaned in frustration. Was she serious? She just gave them only one day to get their assignments done?! who does that? Well... lecturers, of course. Heartless lecturers.

Aiden on the other hand didn't mind this. As soon as the teacher left the classroom he began packing his books and was ready to leave with Kai when their desk was surrounded by his acquaintances.

"Were you hoping to run away again? We haven't seen you since Thursday last week." One of the boys asked when came up to them.

"Sorry I've been busy." Aiden replied with a polite smile

"What? Busy getting a girlfriend?" The boy teased referring to Kai and the others laughed,

"Oh come on, we all know Aiden is not so faithful as to get a girlfriend, she's probably not his girlfriend ." A tall girl wearing a peach coloured hot pant and had ash black hair said as she sat on Aidens desk, crossing her fair slender legs. She smiled and leaned closer to Kai, "Or even if she is, maybe he's just trying to have some fun." She said mainly to the merman with the cunning smile playing on her face as if telling Kai that their relationship won't last. She scoffed when she didn't get a reaction from him and then turned to Aiden, now totally ignoring the person that sat beside him,

"Come one Aiden, let's go to the cafeteria, your treat." She smiled. Aiden merely smiled back and finished gathering his notes.

"Sure let's go."

Aiden stood up and Kai followed suit but the latter didn't move and instead just stared at the girl who sat on the desk with a narrowed and intense gaze which sent chills down her spine... what's with that look?

"Please stand up." He said indifferently and the girl rose a brow... what's with this annoying superior attitude she was displaying?! What was wrong with sitting on Aidens table? Did she want to monopolise his seat too? The girl fumed but still tried to maintain her sweet facade for Aiden.

"Why? Is there anything wrong with where I'm sitting?" She retorted with a smile, but Kai was having none of it

"Please. Get. Up." He repeated, this time more slowly so it would sink in.

"Hmmm... I don't see your name written on the table." She chimed still with her smile intact.

"Yahh, Maddie just get down." A boy from the group interjected, "Yeah, what's the big deal?" Another said but the girl named Maddie didn't give them mind and just scoffed.

Kai placed a hand on the girls shoulder and before she could question his act, he pushed her off the table and she fell to the ground, scattering the arranged seats Infront. Her group of girlfriends who had been standing behind her gasped when they saw this while the guys tried their best to muffle their laughter so they wouldn't get in trouble with the so called 'princess of the school'.

"Ugh!" She groaned and turned to look at Kai who still had his indifferent look,

"He told you to get up but you didn't... you were sitting on my notes." Aiden interjected with a wide smile on his face obviously amused by what he had just witnessed... this made Maddie drown in embarrassment and her face flushed red.

"B...but... she didn't tell me I was sitting on her books! She just rudely told me to get up" She yelled with tears cracking her voice, not knowing what to do in such an embarrassing situation. Aiden placed his arm on Kai's shoulder, claiming his territory before he said...

"I believe she said please... and besides, she has quite some trouble speaking so please understand her." With that, he walked away while being followed by the lots.

Maddie still sat there staring at the exit they had just gone through with wide eyes. She was just... embarrassed in front of Aiden.

"Hey Maddie, are you alright?" One of the girls questioned,

"I can't believe she did that just because she's stuck to Aiden." Another said

"Who the hell does she think she is?"

"Couldn't she just tell you she needed her notes?" Another said, even though she knew fully well that Maddie wouldn't still bother even though Kai had said his reason.

"Yeah, It's not like she's a mute, so how can she have trouble speaking?"

"Maybe she wasn't so smart and just had to get into a school with connections."

"So what? She's f**king Aidens dad now?"

"Maybe she's leaching off him and f**cing his son."

The girls continued shining a bad light to the merman just to make the girl feel better. When Maddie suddenly stood up, they all fell silent and stared at her.

Her slender face now burned red from rage...

"She thinks everything revolves around her, and she can do this to me and get away? I'll show her... I'm the only one for Aiden... he's mine." She muttered softly to herself.

After the lunch break, everyone returned to their next lectures, and those who were done for the day went their ways. Soon, the day was over. Since it was a Monday, lectures had ended a little later than the usual time. Aiden had managed to get away from Kevin, who had invited him to play basketball. He didn't have the strength to do so... he was tired and more over. He wanted to spend more time with the merman.

The drive home was quiet but still comfortable. When they arrived home by around minutes past five, they met with the substitute cleaner who had informed them that Marta wouldn't be coming in for the next two to three weeks because her grand daughter had just given birth and she needed to stay with her.

Aiden didn't mind. If anything, he was glad that the elderly woman wasn't there to separate him from Kai. After dinner was prepared by the substitute, Aiden sent her off, and he and Kai both took their baths before they came down for dinner.

Ever since school, they hadn't spoken a word to each other, and Aiden noticed that the merman looked under the weather after his encounter with Maddie. Was he perhaps regretting it? But she deserved it.

Aiden's hands that were busy with the cutlery paused as he stared at the merman who sat opposite him. Kai felt his gaze and rose his head from his plate to look at the other,

"What's wrong?" Aiden questioned now that he had gained Kai's attention. The latter averterted his gaze,

"The earlier girl like you?" He questioned while fidgeting with his cutlery.

"Who? You mean Maddie?" Aiden questioned as a small smile crept on his face. Was this why he was looking so sad? Because he thought Maddie liked him.

"You can say that. It's quite obvious, actually, but I have no intention of going out with her because the love of my life is in front of me right now."

Ahhhhh! So cheesy! Come on, Aiden, when did you lose your rizz?! His subconscious scolded him.

Despite how cheesy it sounded, it's still made the boy smile.

"Honestly ,from how you behaved with me... I never thought you could actually do something like that. You looked so cool dealing with Maddie." Aiden praised further, and Kai's smile widened... it seemed like he really liked being praised- Aiden noted.

On his first day of school, Kai had shown everyone that he wasn't a pushover... Not that they could even do anything with Aiden by his side, but it still made the young master less worried about him. He could take care of himself and would fit just right in once he worked on arranging his sentences his better.

Today, he learnt how to write by following Aiden's hands, and he learnt fast enough to even take notes of what the lecturers were saying... though it wasn't that pretty since it was his left hand, it was still a good start.

After dinner, they both went straight to bed after being exhausted from the days activities. Aiden wrapped his arms around the boys slender waist as they lay on the bed and couldn't be more joyous that Martha was away... now he was able to sleep with comfort.
