the birthday eve

I dropped from the taxi and bid the driver a farewell , the night was cold with heavy windstorm blowing leaves around, I could see people turning off their lights, I could hear the noisy beast of the nights and all I could think of was "terror", I briskly walked into the entrance door. In the hallway I could feel a presence and sudden crank on a door , I turned severally but saw nothing, I muttered "I'm overthinking "I walked past room 201 and I heard someone hurriedly run across the hallway, I hastily walked to my door (room 211),i was filled with fear while trying to insert the key to the lock "come on " I said in a shaky tone, in about 10seconds the door was open.

I Walked into the room, it was dark and grave quiet, I stretched my hands out trying to reach for the switch,"ouch" I blurted and fell to my knees holding my foot in pain while giving it a little massage...

Tears dropped down my eyes and I muttered, please .
