But words failed her.

Jonathan curled his lips, "I'm worried you'll get tired from looking after him, so I'm here to keep you company."

"No, thanks!" Gloria refused him without a second thought.

Bryson could not stand being provoked and she was afraid that Jonathan's presence would make Bryson feel worse.

Gloria stared at Jonathan and spoke, "I'll stay in the hospital for days to come, and I hope you can keep a distance from me in this period."

Jonathan narrowed his eyes, "You care a lot about him?"

"He's my family."

Gloria emphasized these words to let Jonathan understand how important Bryson was to her.

Jonathan let out a chuckle when he heard her words.
