Chapter 31: Kiel's Decision

"I know you know why she dumps me, right?"

"I-i have a clue."

"Let's be honest, I know you know and I want to hear it from you," Kiel said to me.

" I know it's because of me," I said with an anxious voice, I feel like want to said Jean all she said to me and ask her why me. People have their feelings and I can't control her feelings for me, not even Kiel.

"What do you have that I don't have? Why can't Jeanneth love me like how she loves you?" Kiel said with a slightly high and trembling voice.

"She did love you. It's just, you love each other at the wrong time. She loved you, I know how she loved you!" Trying to comfort him with how he comforts me when I am in his shoes.

"Yeah, it may be too late."

"Can I be still friends with her?" he added.

"Of course, I know it's not easy to just stop loving her but I am not telling you that you should stop. What if there's still a chance?" Keep trying to lighten up the atmosphere and his mood.

"She, she already said it. She said that there will be no chance and she's willing to be on your side till the marriage. Can I just cancel it?" He desperately asks if he can but there's no way that the marriage will be canceled.

"Are you being serious? Can you even hear what you're saying?" I ask Kiel how he looks desperate and stupid.

"If the marriage will didn't happen, the four of us will be happy."

"I'm still hoping for her and I also want you and Keisha to be happy."

"I don't want to Jeanneth to become the second option. Especially if from you." He continues talking.

"She is not the second option okay? C'mon don't fight with me, I'm here to comfort you so stop picking fights." I said to Kiel after hearing his voice tone while talking.

"I am not, I mean, Jeanneth deserves love. Love that only from her, love that you can say that it belongs only to her. Love that can make Jean happy."

"I'm not doubting you but still, I don't think you can give that kind of love to her." He added.

"Kiel, my love is only for Keisha and not for anybody. Keisha is the one I want to hold into, not anybody. I also don't think I can love anyone even though my love already has a fiance, whatever happens, she's still my only love."

"That's my definition of love," I added.

"I know we kinda stupid fighting for a girl that not to meant for us, it's just we want to feel love from them."

"I maybe look like a playboy, but all I can assure is that once I love a person, I love unconditionally." He said with a serious tone of voice.

"Hearing it from you makes me laugh." I tease him that's because it's the first time he opened his love for someone to me.

"I made a decision." He suddenly said out of nowhere.

"Decision? What kind of decision is that? Don't tell me it's kinda stupid?" I ask Kiel so many questions.

"Don't be ridiculous, I'm being serious. I decided that I will stay by her side, whenever a friend or more. I don't care what even kind of relationship we had."

"If you can, I can. I will accept the reality, there will be no difference even if I cried and cried, we still can't be together." He said with a serious voice with looking at me.

"Hah, am I late or have you matured now? It's just like minutes you're being stubborn and forcing you want and now you're saying such things." I'm happy but still not believing what he said.

"Thank you for everything, bro." Those words that came out of his mouth made me tear up. Before I even cry I hit his shoulder and smile to stop my tear.

"Hope you and Jean became okay, I'll be there always."

We finish our drink before I go home, still hoping that he is okay.
