Chapter 25: Three of us

The interview with Jeanneth ended well smoothly and successfully and Mr. Alonzo said that she can start by morning tomorrow. It is too early for her to start but the company needs workers now because there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

After the interview, my boss and I returned to our own office. I glanced at Kei's office and saw her reading paperwork while talking to someone on the phone. She looked very busy so I didn't want to interrupt her or bother her so I just walked straight to my office and looked at the work assigned to me by my boss.

While arranging the papers, I heard Keisha's office door open and I heard Max's voice. Keisha's office is right next to my office so I can hear who is talking or what is being discussed. I heard Max say

"Hey, I'm here. I saw Jeanneth downstairs, what is her business here?" She asked Keisha and Kei replied that "Maybe she is here for the interview. Maybe Dad is referring to her about there will be an interview now. I remember that Angge told me that Jeanneth is applying at our company." Keisha answers her.

"Oh okay" Max simply nodded at Keisha's answer. As I listened, my ears were glued to the wall to hear more clearly the conversation. Suddenly I heard my name in Max's voice.

"Is Angge here? Where is her office? I'll go there." Max said and Keisha answered.

"It's literally at my office side, go out and look to the right. That's her office, there's a lot of work so maybe she's still busy. Just take a look to find out." Keisha answered Max.

Max came out of Keisha's office and looked at the office to the right of Keisha's office and knocked.

When I heard that Max was coming to my office, I adjusted my seat and looked at the papers. When she entered my office, I smiled at her as if nothing had happened.

She closed the door and sat in the chair in front of me.

She instantly asks me about Jeanette " Hey, hey, hey, Is Jeanette will be working here starting tomorrow?" All I said is yes.

I asked her why she was in my office and she replied "Nothing, just want to help you with your work." and I answered.

"The one you need to help is your cousin because she has more work than me." and she answered

"But I want you, I'll be here watching you if you don't want me to help you, okay?" I just smiled at her because she's like Jean, a compulsive person.

"Will you drink again? If yes, I can't today." I asked Max and she replied, "No, I still have a hangover from yesterday." She answered while holding her head.

"Kiel is drinking with you, of course, that's mean you'll gonna drink till midnight," I said to Max while laughing at her.

"Did he bring you home safely?" I asked Max.

"Yes, of course, he said that you will get angry if he didn't take me home safely." She answered as if she was confused.

"Because I talked to Kiel, it's good that he takes you home." I held her head and ruffled her hair.

While I'm teasing Max, suddenly Kei knocked at the door.

" Max, that's why I don't want you to go to Angge office. You're bothering her." Kei said to Max

" C'mon, we're just talking." Max answers Kei, and Kei responds " We have so much work to do."

I interrupt their conversation and said " C'mon it's okay, tomorrow five of us will be working. I'll call Kiel and say that Jean is working now here. He'll be here in just minutes." I said to them and start laughing. Kei just look at me and sigh and start to laugh also Max did.
