NARRATOR'S POV.
Blood drippied off his hands, his foot steps echoed through the huge hall. He drew closer in slow, taunting pace. As he got closer, she willed herself to run but she couldn't.
She could hear her heart thumping hard against her ribcage as her killer drew closer. He squatted in front of her, his face was foggy, no matter how she tried she could not recognize his face, all she recognized was his eyes.
Cold, empty,angry gray eyes.
And this time no matter how much she wanted to erase them from her head she couldn't. She felt his cold, icy fingers wrapped around her neck slowly.
She felt like she would choke but she wasn't, but the fear that she was going to choke to death was very much present. She tried to scream but nothing got out of her mouth, she tried to fight but her arm and her body felt weak and heavy. And for some reason all she did was stare into the eyes of her murderer.
'ring! ring! ' the alarm rang.
The huge lump hidden under the sky blue comforter moved slowly before it made grumbling tired noises. She pulled the comforter off her.
Susan lazily pushed her phone off her night stand in an attempt to put it off. She slowly lifted her head grunting with reluctance to get out of the bed. Rubbing her eyes the event of last night came rushing down, sending an electric spark down her spine.
As she recalled everything that happened the night before, it felt more like a bad dream. The fact that she almost clawed out the eyes of her boss and a powerful man in an attempt to defend herself based on her theory 'Die fighting'.
But at this moment she cursed the movie she watched that gave her such stupid idea. She was probably dead and her mind could not get over the fact that she was probably doomed.
She pulled herself off the bed , picking her phone up. It was a few minutes to eight o'clock, and she must get to work by eight. Rushing out of bed, she took a quick shower, she decided to skip washing her hair.
She chose a sleeveless chiffon top that was tucked into a black knee length skirt, and black stilleto shoes. She packed her hair into her usual proffesional bun.
Looking at her self in the mirror she looked like a ghost, she had to apply an extra layer of foundation and concealer to hide the bag under her eyes. She decided to go with masscara and a little lip gloss. She immediately head out.
Normally she would take the bus but today was important, and she might get fired. She decided to take her small car.
She parked in the employee spot. Her spot was a good one since she works in the floor below him.
She rushed into the huge lobby, where employees were walking around in their fancy suits and formal clothes.
After scanning her card she proceeded to one elevator dedicated only to people that worked in their department and respected managers in the company.
Her hand was sweaty and it was like she was suffocating, it was like the first day of school all over. Walking into the office floor. Her colleagues were already there.
"Morning" Susan generally greeted, and they also returned it, before thanking her for completing the work.
She only gave a small laugh to that, she regreted staying behind, she really did.
"Guys, we have only two hours left before the meeting, so let's get set and bring on our A game" Aisha advised as she arranged whatever files were on her desk.
Leo just rolled her eyes, looking like she didn't mind one bit.
They were all terrified, it was obvious. Josh, the oldest among them, was already stress smoking in the male bathroom, and Joe was re-knoting his tie over and over again.
Aisha was also nervous, but she did a good job hiding it, after all she was the office badass. Aisha comes from an elite family, she handles herself well in bad situations and always keeps her composure.
Susan could do nothing but stare at the screen of her computer pretending to work. Her mind kept wandering to her boss's cold eyes that held amusement and anger.
The hand that held her white mouse was already moist with nervous sweat. She dreaded checking her watch and when she had the courage to peep at the time, it only seems that time is running faster.
She wished for a time machine, or probably the power to stop time, any at the moment would do because she wasn't picky. She wanted this meeting to be cancelled or postponed.
The more she thought about what was to come the more dread filled her.
'Why didn't he respond when I called out to whoever was there?
why did he decide to mess with me?
' That jerk, how dare he mess with me '
'It wasn't my fault, it was his.
Anyone would be freaked out by what he did '
'Rich jerks always messing with those that they think are below them.'
These thoughts kept coming to her mind. she should just resign, at least then she wouldn't be blacklisted.
And no matter how much she dismissed the thought of quitting,it seemed to be like the most favourable options.
With shaking hands, she started typing out her resignation letter. This meeting will supposedly be her last in the company.

And like that it was time for the meeting, the one they all dread, and with wobbly legs they headed to the huge conference room, on their floor that was reserved only for very important meetings, and its only this once that their CEO visit,at least apart from last night.
They were all settled in their seats, and like all very important conference room, this one was huge.
The conference table was a huge long glass table and classy black office chairs were arranged surrounding the table to accommodate them.
The wall on the side was glass, and they could see the busy city, from where they were sitting, sky scrappers stretched high, beautiful tall architectural building, although this building was bigger and taller than the other huge buildings.
Susan stared at the small laptop in front of her, her fingers messed with the tips of the file that lay next to her computer.
And like that on 9:00am on the dot the huge doors to the conference room was opened and coming in was
Mr Miller, the boss's P.A and then coming in was the devil looking as perfect as possible, in a very expensive suit customed and made just for him and like always, his presence commanded respect and his aura brought authority.
They all stood up, and like he always did anytime they had a meeting, he didn't respond or pay any attention to them.
After he settled down, Mr Miller motioned for them to sit too as he took the sit adjacent but closet to Mr King by his right.
And like always, the boss stare at them indifference clearly showed on his face, but when his eyes landed on a particular brown haired woman, whose eyes was cast down on the file in front of her, making him wander what was so interesting on the file that captivated her so much.
Silence echoed in the room, no one dare speak, and the boss doesn't seem to want to break the silence.
With every courage she could gather Susan looked up to her boss and boy was it a big mistake, her eyes met her boss's and she couldn't seem to move her eyes away from him, that eyes she remembered so well, she even saw them in her dreams.
The gray eyes stared at her brown eyes. His eyes now had streaks of green?.
The normal indifferent boss had definitely found something or someone interesting and he loved a good entertainment , his dark sadistic mind couldn't wait to see what this new fun seemingly hobbie would bring.
And with every will in her she tore her eyes away from him. Now her heart felt like they would bust out of her ribcage.
The boss motioned to his assistant who was staring at his boss with interest, since he knew so well the look in his eyes, the dangerous look.
And with that, the spent the morning ranting about number, concepts, statistics, and calculations.
How

"I've talked to Kevin, and he seemed to be on board and-"
"Tell me about Susan Presley?" King said interrupting his secretary .
Miller looked at his boss, he was clearly interested in the question his boss just asked.
"Miss Susan?" Miller said, although sounded like a question it wasn't, because if there was one thing his boss hated it was questions.
"Umm... Miss Susan is one of the best person I've worked with. I don't know much about her personal life, all I know is that she is the bread winner of her family, she has a teenage brother and a paralysed father. And she is very smart."
His boss just stared at the huge painting on the wall, playing with his silver pen.
He had a smirk on his face, and that look Miller knew very well. His boss doesn't show a lot of facial expressions, and it's always difficult to know what he was thinking... But this look Miller knew well, it was dangerous, very dangerous.
Miller liked Susan, almost like a sister. she was a hard working, very nice and jovial, she remembers everyone's birthday including his, even though that wasn't his real date of birth. She had this sense of responsibility, and she was clearly very clever and wise for her age.
But she would never be able to handle what was already install for her, because now the devil has his sights on her.
