Something Special

"Uhm… okay…"

"Are you feeling tired?"

I looked at him. "No. I can still walk around." I smiled sheepishly with my blushed cheeks as I remembered what happened earlier on the counter.

We went to town and had a look around. He took me out for a meal at Nando's, so we don't have to cook at the dorm and we took a taxi back home. It wasn't that far but he reckoned taxi is better than walking back.

While inside the cab, I took my phone out to send a message to James, "Hey, wats up? Hven't herd fr u."

Liam took his phone out and something made him draw a smile on his face. My phone suddenly alerts because of a text message, it's from James. "I don't herd animals and I'm still alive :)"

"Geez, such a dumdum!" I babbled. I thought of something and I smiled. I called James, his phone was ringing but he was not answering.

Liam got my attention for his sudden odd behaviour. "Are you okay, Liam?"

He looked at me and his face was a bit stunned. After giving me a nod, he took his phone and answered the call, "Yes mum?" long paused "I'm with Summer, I'll call you back when I get home." he then hang up.

However, my call to James went on voicemail. I didn't leave a message because I have nothing to say. I'm just testing him if he will answer my call.

We arrived home and the lights were off, Andy and Kayla were watching a movie on Netflix. They didn't notice us came in as they were too focused on the TV.

I put my index finger on my lips and looked at Liam telling him to be quiet and don't make a sound. He ignored me and he went in, as you know he walks fast. In no time, he was in his room and he shut his door gently, making that scary creaking sound and as his door shut, I shut the front door with a loud bang while I crouched quietly to my room.

Kayla's scream filled the living room and Andy's voice sounded scared. "Who's there?"

"Andy, what do you think that is?" Kayla's voice is very anxious, "Do you think watabe is here?" It seemed like she was on the verge of crying.

"Stop it, Kayla! She's not even scary. Turn the lights on so we can see who's here." It was Andy acting cool and brave.

I suddenly thought of something and started to scratch the wall and the carpeted floor making a scratching sound, it sounded eerie but I cannot stop myself from giggling quietly.

"Andy there's someone in Summer's room. Do you think there's a burglar in the house?" I heard Kayla's voice and footsteps coming close to my room.

In a panic, I quickly opened my window and jump out, run to Liam's window and knocked on it. After a few knocks, he came on his window but he didn't open it and just stood there with his arms crossed.

"Liam, please open the window and let me in," I begged with my hands in a low voice, almost like a whisper.

He shook his head signifying that his answer is a clear NO and he turned around. After thirty seconds or so, he came back and open the window and he even helped me up. As he pulled me up to get in, he somehow stumbled and fell on his back while I fell on top of him making a loud thud.

Andy and Kayla rushed in, I didn't hear the door open but somehow they got in and they got in pretty fast. They turned the lights on and the look on their faces was a complete shock.

I quickly realise what they are thinking so I get up quickly and started to stutter as I explained, "Hey guys, it's not what you think it is. I— I-i-it was. I— I was messing around with him and w—w—we fell over."

They are still in shock and not speaking. I don't know what is going through their heads. Liam wasn't saying anything. He was just standing there next to me. Because of Andy and Kayla's no reactions, I moved a little to go near them, but Liam grabbed my hand and he held my waist. "Are you thinking we are doing something special here?"

I blushed when I heard what he said. 'Ground, open up and swallow me,' and I looked down in embarrassment. Andy then spoke, "I'm sorry to disturb both of you. We thought there was a burglar in the house. Plus, your door was open, we're sorry for the intrusion." Both of them walked away leaving Liam and me in the room.

"Uhm… Liam, your door was open?
