My Own Justice

What defines justice? or rather what is justice? It's a rather confusing dilemma depending on which side you stand. There is no such thing as morality being black or white. It's gray, a little bit of both. What if you were given an opportunity to manifest your own justice as a weapon. Would you be blind and impartial? Or would you take it into your own hands and mete out punishment for the wicked? Join Sol a boy who found himself in a world called ether where justice is imbalanced, mired with filth and corruption, as paves his way creating his own meaning. His own justice. Just like the prophecy once said... The Devourer with the Blood of the Gods on his Fang... The Pale Rider, Whose Hatred will burn the heavens... The Lone Sword in an empty battlefield, Screaming in Agony and Despair. Scattered and Fallen white feathers, Forgotten by Time The Faithless Believer chained by his own holy oath. The Wise King of King's Return, The Butterfly flaps it's wings once more. The prophecy that is as old as time. The Wise King's return is inevitable. The butterfly flaps its wings once again as it edges closer to the truth. ---- Hello it's me good ol unreliable author with no stable updates here to show another book that he has started. This time it's a submission towards the spirit awards. Give it a read and I hope you enjoy! Basically this book is an homage to the tokusatsu genre while putting an original spin to it. Let's start with a Bang!

The boy was running frantically as he tried to catch the train. His uniform was in a bit of a mess and his bed head sticks out like a sore thumb. The worst part was he didn't even bring his bag. He looked down at the train platform weeping inwardly as he looked around the subway. It was quite empty, most of the students and office workers have left already. Leaving the place quite desolate.

He looked at the holographic scheduler hanging on the entrance with furrowed brows. The next train would arrive in approximately 20 minutes. He slumped his shoulders as he lifelessly sat on the numerous benches. He leaned his head on the bench as he stared at the large screen on his left by the entrance with slight interest. He listened toward the pleasant voice of the beautiful female anchor.

"It has been a hundred years since earth has joined the United Federation. Joining our friends from numerous star systems. Although in their eyes were fairly young. It's honestly a blessing that we are welcomed with open arms."

He then crossed his arms as he leaned forwards. Watching intently at the announcement on the screen.

"Today is a celebratory day! On this ceremonius day of April 1st. We shall be officially be welcomed and granted a seat on the Universal Council of Peace. We would be signing a treaty that would last for thousands of years. Truly a glorious achievement for mankind. Don't you think so Calvin?"

The news reporter seated beside the woman nodded his head. "Although the extremists could cause worry. I would ask you not to panic for only the best of the best would be attending the summit. To quote the age old saying, 'The payload is secured.' That is why please enjoy the festivities the U.C.P has on offer.

We'll be right back at you for more updates later today. Have a pleasant morning and Happy Unity Day!"

The boy couldn't help but scratch his cheeks. "That's today? Cheese on a pancake! There's no freaking classes today!"

He hurriedly opened his phone and checked his mail. He clutched his head as he read through the messages of his friends. "Why did I not check earlier?" He grumbled as he read the latest message from his Holo Phone.

<Hey Sol! Meet up at the usual place. Since you're 30 mins late you get the privelege to buy the food.

-Tom the Badass>

He scoffed as he put the phone on his pockets as he waited for the train. "Badass? Such a lame asshat."

A few minutes later the train finally arrived. He brought out his phone and let it be scanned by the door of the train. As he entered he saw drones handing out flyers to passengers.

[Please enjoy the festivities on the City Square.]

He took the small brochure highlighting his hometown. Unity City, the first ever city on earth to ever welcome extraterrestrials. After a hundred years it's one of the most prosperous cities on earth. The local government spared no effort to promote this glorious day. Citing all the beautiful exotic land marks of the city including the more "unique" houses of our extraterrestrial friends.

The numerous events and parades would flood the town square filling it with all walks of life. A lot of offworld visitors have probably book all of the available hotel rooms around the globe. Just to see this momentous day.

He stared at the gigantic floats and balloons floating all over the place. Hovercars populated the skies and people were just eating the food making merriment as they took in the sights. He had to struggle and squeeze into the crown of people. As he tried to locate the cafe he and his friends were supposed to meet at. He soon saw a trio of familiar silhouettes. He waved his hand across the crowd as he made his way towards them.

"Ugh! It's so crowded I think I'm gonna puke!" He said as he pulled over a chair and plopped down all exhaustedly. His three friends looked at the deflated balloon that is Sol. "Why the hell are you wearing a uniform?" Tom asked as he sipped his Martian Madness shake. "I bet it's the same reason with Harry here. They probably forgot there's no school today! Bunch of fuck wits." Harry clicked his tongue, "Fuck off Dick, like I said... I forgot cause I was busy getting laid with a sovirian chick. Unlike you losers."

Sol booed as he ordered a fresh Taruvian Hades Soda. "Bullshit! I doubt you even got to third base. You probaby got intimidated by her six arms."

Harry slammed the table, "Intimidated? Bro, that's the best part! What about you? What's your excuse."

Sol clutched his head and slowly looked away from them, "I had a really good dream!" They all looked at each other and grinned, "So? Who was your partner? Eh? How steamy was it?" The trio said in unison.

Sol growled in anger, "Is sex all you guys think about? You fucking horny rabbits! It was a normal dream... A... Super hero... dream." As he continued his voice progressively shrunk in volume.

The trio laughed, "Shit! I wouldve respected you if you had a wet dream! A superhero dream? Fighting dragons? Chief that's a minus on the girls." Richard said as he clutched his stomach. "Alright, Alright... You got me. So what's the plan for today?"

Sol said as he looked at the three idiots in front of him. The three looked at each other and shrugged. Sol clutched his head and said, "Let me guess."

"Check out some cute girls." All four of them said at the same time. They laughed together as if their internal responses were synchronized.

They went on the cafe's second floor. "Hey Bossman! Can we sit on the roof?" Tom asked even though all of them have already sat down. The owner shrugged and sent them complimentary drinks called Unity Drink.

They casually sipped as they bathed in the morning sun. Suddenly an announcement rang across the city.

<Greetings Everyone! Thank you for coming! Although some of you may have come from a distant star system. I hope you all have the most fun on this joyous day!

5 more minutes till the Unity Parade. If you want to get a good position please come early and get yourself a cozy spot. >

It said. Although there were no available spots left. The place was crowded with people. You'd have to be insane just to try and squeeze in to the vicinity of the parade. Sol and his buddies however were smart enough to position themselves on top of a building that the parade would directly pass through.

After observing the long line of people the extend as far as the eye could see. A series of drums and trumpets and a bunch of alien instruments clamored to make a melodious and cheerful tune filling the entire square.

They all bobbed their heads matching the beat. Then after a full minute of waiting another announcement filled the area.

<Everyone! Please welcome the Unity Marching band! Next to them is the greatest rising star! A young man with dozens of Oscar in his belt. Mr. Urian "Lucy" Ferre!!!>

The announcer continued to say all the people included in the parade, garnering the loud clamor and murmurs of the crowd. Then a large holographic screen on the shape of a cube appeared, along with a flashy neon timer.

It flickered three times and the earlier announcers appeared on screen.

<I know, I know you all want to see the parade but before we begin I would just like to tell you that all of Earth's diplomats and every diplomat from distant star system has entered the space station to begin their cintennial unity summit. It's such a tear jerker. We've come so far... Now since its a time for celebration! How a bout we start with a Bang!!!>

The announcer said as the camera panned to show a gigantic disc like space Station and countless diplomatic space carriers entered.

The crowd cheered incessantly as they raised their hands and clapped in approval. As soon as the timer reached zero the music grew louder until they stopped completely. The large space disk satellite exploded into pieces. Scattering debris everywhere. The nearest debris on the earth's atmosphere turned into deadly ballistic missiles as it assaulted the earth's surface.

The marching band suddenly changed its closed as the holographic screen flickered. Showing a man Donning a black cloack and only a faceless white mask is shown.

"Today calls for celebration. For the bells of chaos has been rung. The cosmos will be dyed a shade of deep crimson. Societies will fall, Empires will fade. The U.C.P will crumble under the hands of the Faceless. There will be no order just the unrelenting cruelty of the void.

Rejoice! The stars shall soon fall."

He said as he brought down his raised hand. Certain members of the band suddenly removed their disguises and revealed a similar outfit with the man on the screen.

Then a gunshot. Followed by another. Bullets hailed from every direction. The shaky alliance further blurred by the situation. Created an unstoppable force called chaos. Corpses littered the ground. Panic and Anger filled the crowd as they trampled one another.

Sol and his friends were frozen on the spot. Their psyche unable to register what's happening. But their eyes contained nothing but fear. The skies darkened as multiple warships portaled in from the sky. Enveloping the entire city with unrelenting barrage of missiles and anti air shells.

The entire city was almost leveled in an instant. The terrifying maws of warfare caused unrelenting destruction where ever it touched.

It was a hellscape. The burning stench of the dead and the living permeated, a series of bone piercing shrieks entered their ears.

Sol grabbed his shaking legs and slapped it. "Wake up! Let's fucking run!" His friends looked at him and nodded their heads. Tears slowly edged at their eyes threatening to fall down any moment. But now is not the time for sorrow.

"We need to survive!"
