Chapter 168

Even after 600 years this woman is still obsessed with me. Hearing her praise and worship me endlessly it's getting annoying.

"Okay, Matilda I understand your and trust your devotion," I said as I dispersed my wings into blood and light and turn my right eye back to its crimson colour.

"Lord please tell me? Are you on a mission from the Supreme goddess, the creator of the universe," Matilda inquired.

"Well, yes, she has asked me to do something for her," I replied.

"Aaah, praise be to god, it's so wonderful to be a servant of Goddess Valentine once again," Matilda said suddenly she became surprised and turned and turned to her followers. "I'm sensing a disbeliever amongst all of you. Who is it?"

Matilda looked around and everyone was silent.

"Don't worry, I'm the presence of goddess Valentine , I shall be merciful."

Soon a woman stepped forward with her hands raised.

"Is it you?" Matilda asked in a hostile voice..

"It's her, she's the one without faith."

The girl pointed at a girl in the crowd and everyone turned their gaze to her, it was a middle aged woman.

"Step forward and state your name," Anita ordered.

"My name is Veronica Lord," she introduced herself as she grovelled at Anita's feet.

"Tell me child, why do you not have faith?" Matilda asked.

" Forgive me lord, I detour in faith for a moment," Veronica said.

"In the presence of goddess Valentine you still lack faith."

Matilda dashed forward, snatched the chainsaw from her subordinates and chopped off Veronica's head. Her blood sprayed everywhere, even on Matilda's face.

"Those who lack faith, must be punished my death," Matilda said with a smile on her face

This site was so gruesome I had to block Debra's eyes from seeing this.

"Close your eyes."

"Okay."

This woman is still cruel as ever, I can't believe she killed one of her followers and made one tiny mistake. I raised my head and a bright light emanated from the palm of my hand, the flash disappeared and every nun fell unconscious.

"We need to talk," I spoke.

We were taken to a private chamber, I made myself comfortable in the chair there. Kelly and the others stood behind me while Matilda and her three subordinate grovel at my feet.

"Matilda."

"Uhm yes Lord."

"That crest I gave you drains your lifeforce each time you die and gets resurrected, so tell me, how come you're still alive?" I queried.

With her head lowered she began to explain her story. For 200 years she has been ruling the church and carrying her peacekeeping duties in my name. One of the knights found out that we've been praying to a vampire and that stirred up chaos in the church. The knights rebel and killed the seven celestial sages.

Matilda was injured and was forced to go into hibernation. Inside the capsule she waited and waited for someone to find her until 22 years ago she was found by Anita when she was 7 years old. Matilda started to teach Anita about the ways of god and told Anita to follow her and find more followers and so when the red moon appeared during my awakening Matilda mark was reactivated and she was able to be free from her capsule.

"Lord all those who turned their backs on you have all met and end while I'm still here, it proves that I'm following the path you chose for me, I realised lord that humanity, humanity is the root of all evil," Matilda explained.

"I've heard enough..." I spoke, then crossed my legs. "I must say your loyalty to me is commendable and for that I guess I can do you a small favour."

I opened my hand and a light appeared.

"This can replenish your lifeforce by another 100 years, if you continue to show your love and devotion I'll give this to you," I said.

"Lord, I'm unworthy of such a gift."

I floated the light to her and she grasped it with both hands, she placed it on her chest and her body was enveloped in light. Her lifespan was only 10 years left to live, now she can live to 110.

"Lord not only did you return by body, you replenish my soul," She muttered as she got closer to my feet. "I'm ashamed that I wasn't able to complete the task I set for you but I beg you lord let me make amends by serving you faithfully, I swear on my life I'll never betray your expectations."

"Fine, I'll accept you," I accepted.

When my hair swayed in the wind it touched her hand and suddenly she shuddered in despair, then grew furious.

"These filthy hands dare touch the lord's beautiful hair, Lorris!"

The woman with the chainsaw chopped off Matilda hands,

"Lord, I have cleansed myself."

This woman is crazy and worst of all, she's smiling while bleeding to death.

My nose tingles at the smell of her blood. It was so addicting.

Diane started to act weird, her eyes turned black and her canines grew longer.

"Kelly suppress her," I ordered.

Kelly knocked Diane out before her vampire instincts took over.

"Listen Matilda, don't do that again," I said. I used 「 Psychokinesis 」+ 「Blood Manipulation 」to reattach Matilda's arms and fuse the blood back into her body. "Listen Matilda, I have a very important order."

"I want you to secretly move your base to London and stay hidden until I give the order otherwise, I Goddess Valentine have plans for you,"I ordered.

Roselina returned to the jet while everyone boarded the plane, She turned to Matilda and her three subordinates. She gave roselina a lot of valuable information, where the monsters are hiding, the location of pure mana zoned and list of every nun under Matilda

"This is where we part ways for now," Roselina said.

Matilda kneeled before me as she held up a case, Roselina opened it and looked inside.

It was glowing so brightly,

"It's the Mana Crystal of a behemoth we slayed, it has been maturing for 400 years," Matilda explained.

Viper closed then held the briefcase in her hand.

Roselina turned and walked away.

Roselina boards the jet that flew off and Matilda didn't stop grovelling till they left.

Matilda smiled as she looked up. "The lord has returned, now balance can return to the world once again, Humanity will face judgement and divine retribution Fufufufu," Matilda chuckled and smiled sinisterly.

Tio and Tia were attracted to it like a moth to a flame. I closed the briefcase and closed my eyes.

"This thing is useless to me," I said. "Even though it has a large amount of mana, it's not beneficial to me. I have something even more valuable."

I opened my hands and a drop of blood was floating inside it.

"What's that?" Kelly asked.

"Matilda blood,"

I absorbed it through my mouth and instantly a irregular heartbeat occurred.

"Then why didn't you take her with you?" Viper inquiried.

"Fufufu, she's a sadistic coldblooded woman who killed her followers and cut off her arms. Do you want that kind of psychopath following you around everywhere?" I queried.

"So you made a sacrifice for the greater good," Diane said as she understood.

"Yes, and besides having such a woman around would make trouble for my Kelly isn't that right?" I asked as I caress Kelly's face with my hand

I took up a glass of wine.

"At any rate, having those humans under our control will bring us greater benefits."

I took a sip of wine.

"I still don't get it,why does she treat lady Roselina as a goddess," Diane aasked.

Soon we returned back to England, it was 10 am in the day. Waiting for us is Lufila with Mercedes and Rolls Royce.
