However, it all went wrong right after I used 'Flash Step' on him, that instant.
Slap!
My face was slapped hard making me fall on the floor, movement after movement as if she knew what I was going to do, and maybe she also knew if I used 'Flash Step.'
"Heh~ you're still an amateur!"
I who was lying on the floor looked at her face which was smiling broadly, then she slowly went towards the window not far from where she was standing, she opened the window, "Loser!" she smiled before jumping from the window.
The maid jumped out of the window nimbly, leaving me still lying on the floor. I tried to get up, feeling the pain on my face from the slap earlier. But at least I've learned something: that this maid is not an opponent to be trifled with
I gathered myself and immediately went to the window from which she jumped. When I reached the window and looked down.
"This… turns out to be the first floor."
I looked up but saw no sign of the maid. He seemed to have managed to escape.
At least I managed to complete my mission… but why would anyone try to poison Elerona? And also… who is that voice?

[Back to Alan]
"YESSS!!!" I jumped with joy because I had changed the story. "Somehow it feels good, after saving a fictional character."
After I was exhausted from jumping up and down like crazy, my breathing became heavy. Then I sat back in my chair, looking at text after text that appeared slowly. I looked at my microphone which was on 'Muted'. At least my microphone has a mute feature so that the characters in the novel don't accidentally know what I'm talking about.
"Now... let's see what the changes are."
Before I continued reading the text from the canvas, a message suddenly appeared.
[Hot Mom is 500m around you]
"HUH!?"
I was shocked when I saw this. Is this a virus? Why would someone just give a warning like this?
"What a weird—"
Ting-Nung! The doorbell rang.
I immediately looked at my bedroom door, even though I knew that the sound came from the frontdoor, but still... Then I looked back at the monitor and saw the message appear again.
[Hot Mom is in front of your house]
What is going on? Did he really come? Wait why is my heart beating fast?
"Who?"
Slowly by slowly, I walked towards my bedroom door, opening it slightly to peek. Thanks to the builder who built my room with the door and stairs close together, so I could see what was going on at the exit when I peeked through the bedroom door.
I looked, but my view was blocked by the roof. Then I looked down a little and finally saw my mother standing at the door talking to a woman. The woman looked tall... and... ugh, I couldn't see her clearly because it was blocked by my mother.
I tried to listen to their conversation, even though it was quite far away and blocked by the roof. Someone from outside seemed to want to come into the house, and my mother seemed to be blocking it.
Suddenly, the woman's voice became louder, and I could hear snatches of sentences like, "I just want to talk to him" and "This is an important matter."
I became increasingly curious about who the woman was and what she wanted from me. Maybe this has something to do with my fictional story? I wasn't sure, but I felt the need to get closer and find out more.
While still trying not to be heard, I opened my bedroom door slowly, trying to see more clearly without my mother knowing.
I moved closer to the door very carefully, avoiding making any noise that would notice my mother. From the narrow gap in the door, I tried to see the woman's face. Some of the words he said made me even more curious.
The woman seemed very eager to talk to me, and my mother seemed to be hesitant or apprehensive about this meeting. This is even stranger because usually no one knows about my fictional stories. How could she possibly know about me or the novel I was editing?
When I tried to see the woman's face more clearly, a snippet of a sentence came out, "He's one of the Writm, isn't he?" And then, she looked towards my bedroom door.
I froze, realizing that the woman had been watching me. What should I do now?
Then I slammed my door, my head was full of questions, why is she here? What did she say? Writm? What's that?
With mixed feelings of curiosity and a little panic, I decided to leave my room. Even though I didn't know what I was going to say, I felt like I needed to investigate more about who this woman was.
I walked towards the door carefully, trying to understand the situation as best as I could before I walked out. When I reached the door, I felt my heartbeat speed up. It was a strange and unexpected moment, and I didn't know what would happen next.
With my heart pounding, I opened the door and stepped out to face this mysterious woman.
I came out of my room and stood in front of the mysterious woman. She looked tall, with long flowing black hair, and his sharp eyes seemed to be able to penetrate a person's soul. The clothes he wore looked elegant, and he exuded a powerful and mysterious aura.
"Alan, do you know him?" my mother asked
I shook my head, "No, but don't worry, mom, you can continue cooking."
My mother nodded her head then left where she was standing towards the kitchen with a face that was still confused and mixed up.
The woman looked at me with a sharp gaze, as if she was assessing or measuring me. He smiled faintly, then spoke in a calm and confident voice, "Alan, right? I know a lot about you."
I gasped in surprise. How does he know my name? I tried to answer carefully, "Yes, that's right. I'm Alan. Who are you, and how do you know my name?"
The woman answered, "I am Elara, a Writer. I am the Player of the novel [Miracle]. And I know about you because I have watch what you did in the story."
"What do you mean by Writm?" I asked, increasingly curious.
"Writm is that we are humans who have an 'Avatar' in the story, and don't underestimate the story, it is like the title, a miracle."
I still feel confused. "And why do you know about this? What I do, and... do you know who I control?"
Elara smiled and answered, "Yes, of course Kartia, right?"
"How did you know?"
"Don't you remember? A maid who tried to poison Elerona?"
I pondered for a moment, and finally recalled the incident. "Oh, yeah, I remember. Kartia is a character in that story. So, you really know everything that happens in the story?"
Elara nodded. "Yes, we monitor changes in the story and the actions of the characters within it. Our job is to ensure the balance and flow of the story is appropriate, and also the maid is my avatar she will move when I give orders, just like mine."
"So, that means…"
"Yes, that's right you and I are a Writim."
"Then, how?" I said, "The story changed because of me, right?"
"Yes, that's right, that's why I decided to meet you, it's a rare thing."
I paused for a moment to ask the question, "Can it be said that not only the two of us can see what is happening on the canvas of the novel?"
"That's right, there are at least 200 people who can, if you play this game like 'Multiplayer' a lot."
Elara continued her explanation, "Those of us who monitor these stories usually have a fairly limited role, but sometimes we have to intervene if there are changes that could potentially ruin the storyline. Alan, when you enter the story, you enter a fictional world that shouldn't be accessible to Writms like you or even regular readers."
I'm still digesting all this information. "So, what should I do now? Should I go back into the story and make sure everything goes according to plan?"
"Yes."
Just then, my mother came out of the kitchen with some food served on a plate. "Oh, you guys must be hungry after the journey. Please sit down and eat."
Elara smiled gently. "Thank you, Alan's mother. I will eat with pleasure."
We sat together at the dinner table, we continued the conversation, and I began to understand more about the fictional world and Writm's role in maintaining it. My seemingly ordinary life suddenly became much more interesting with this knowledge, and I was determined to understand my new role in maintaining the balance of fictional stories.
"Alan, in the story we are free to be whoever we are, but everything has rules."
"What's that?"
"Don't destroy the novel system."
I nodded my head, while my mother just looked at me and Elera, she seemed confused
"…I will try not to destroy it,"
Elera nodded her head, "Looks like we have to study, come to your computer desk, I'll teach you."
I nodded my head, without finishing my meal I stood up and took Elera to my room.
My mother, who was surprised because the food hadn't even been finished yet, was about to leave, "Where are you going?" he said
"To the room, for something!" I shouted
We both went into the room and sat in front of my computer. Elara looked serious, and I was eager to learn more about my new role in maintaining the balance of the fictional story.
"Elera, can you tell me more about the role of Writm and the rules that must be followed?" I asked.
Elera nodded, "Sure, Alan. As Writers, our main job is to monitor fictional stories and ensure that the storyline remains as it should be. We have knowledge of these stories and also the ability to communicate with the characters in them, as you experience when you enter the story."
I listened attentively. "Then, what rules must be followed?"
"The main rule is not to destroy the story system. This means that we must not make actions or changes that will change the core or plot of the story that has been determined. Every story has its own plan and destiny, and our job is to make sure that destiny continues to run smoothly. "
I nodded in understanding. "So, that's why you came to stop me when I tried to change the story?"
Elera smiled, "Yes, that's right. I see the potential for a big change in the story if you keep changing it. But now you know your role and its limitations."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "I will understand and respect these rules, Elera. I don't want to spoil fictional stories."
Elera nodded her head, "That's what I expected, Alan. And if you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to contact us, the Writms."
We continued learning about the role of 'Writm' and how to access fictional stories. My life has changed drastically after this encounter, no… it's been strange from the start.
