Chapter 7 (The Lie)

Luca's POV

As of now, I am following Colton everywhere he goes according to the teacher's order.

The Chairman of KP Enterprises will arrive any minute.

I and Colton were standing near the reception along with our teachers to welcome the Chairman.

Suddenly someone held my shoulder. I swirly turned around to see who it was. It was Colton. He is about to fall from Dizziness.

I was a bit too quick to hold him. He fainted. The teachers panicked and splashed water on his face to wake him up.

He blinked a few times and woke up. He was not in a state to even stand straight. So I held him and was about to accompany him to the nurse's room. But the teacher stopped me by saying that someone must be there to welcome the Chairman. So a couple of them guided him to the nurse's room.

(After 5 min)

The sound of the horn aroused my ears indicating that the Chairman arrived.

Everyone hurriedly stood in position to welcome him.

He got out of his car with the help of his Bodyguards opening the door for him.

He looked stunning in that attire. I've heard he's 56 right now but still, he looks so young and not to mention his Green eyes. They're the most mesmerizing eyes I've ever seen. But for some reason... They look kind of Familiar.

Shrugging my thoughts I welcomed him.

"Welcome to our Campus Chairman sir." I greeted him with a warm smile. And he returned the smile.

(After 15 min)

The Welcoming ceremony is going on right now.

And the host called the Chairman to address the gathering.

He started with a warm smile.

"Hello, Students. I guess everyone's aware of who I am. If not let me introduce myself. I am Fedrick Paul and I'm the Chairman of the KP Industries. And I'm so thankful that my Son Kayden studies in this wonderful Campus. (So on)...."

"His Son studies here?" I asked it out too loud enough for the guy beside me to hear.

"Yep. Haven't you heard about that? But I haven't seen him in person." then I continued to listen to his speech.

(After 1 hour)

The Ceremony was finally over. The Chairman and the Principle were talking about something about his son's well-being on campus. And yeah I eavesdropped. I was just so curious about his son.

After everyone proceeded to go, I went to the Nurse's room to check on Colton.

As soon as I opened the door, I was met with dead silence. Colton's not here. I quickly searched for the nurse who took charge of him.

After finally spotting her I asked her about him.

All she said was "He was all good and fine when he came here and sent back the other two who came with him. Right after they went, he said that he was okay and just came in search of someone and went away."

I was beyond shocked. If he was all fine, why would he pretend to faint in front of everyone?

Something's fishy. I have no other option but to ask him directly about Rhythm and... Why did he run away when the ceremony was going on?
