The Mecha System

"Where the hell am I going to find such a big energy source?? My god, I am f*cked." he said out loud.

"System , can you give me an hint at least about where to find one? I don't think I am going to find such a big source within a week." he asked the system.

[Ding! The System advises that the host should complete this main mission on your own!]

'I don't think the system is very reliable! I have to gather information around me first.' he thought.

With this thought he went back to his father, wanting to inquire about any possible source of energy around the area.

But before he started speaking, his father opened his mouth, " Carter, I do have a method for forcefully increasing your affinity with fire elements, but I am not sure about it myself, are you willing to give a try?"

Carter was a little dumbfounded, is this the so called protagonist's luck? I did not hesitate at all, who are you kidding, my life's on the line," Yes father, I am willing to give a try."

"Okay, follow me." he said. He took me to the basement of our mansion, where there was a thick iron door with a huge lock on it.

After he opened it, he took me to the corner most area in the right, where there was a chest with another lock on it. Inside it was a fiery red gem shining into our eyes, bound in a container.

"This is a Fire Dragon's core condensed in it's body after many years, magic gems are known to increase their respective element's affinity upon consumption of a mage. But this has way too much energy for you to take it in fully, just a very tiny part of it is enough for you to increase your affinity drastically, if it works."

'A dragon's condensed magic gem, even the royal family must only have one or two at most. Father is willing to use it for my sake. I am very grateful to you father, I will make you proud.' he thought resolutely.

'System, check if this gem is enough energy for me to complete my mission.' he said in his mind.

' So many?! ' he was astonished.

"Son, what happened to the gem? Why did suddenly disappear?!" his father asked, a little agitated. Well it is understandable because such a valuable gem just disappeared into thin air.

"Uhh....." I was feeling very guilty about it. "Father, will you believe me if I told you that I have a unique constitution which requires a tremendous amount of energy to awaken?"

He did not answer, it was a little awkward, but he eventually said, " If you think that it will be beneficial for you, then I am willing to let this go." he let out a sigh as he said this.

I was touched beyond words, 'I will definitely repay you father'. He made a decision.

'Huh? You can talk out of your programmed commands?'

" Okay son, you need to brace yourself in the future no matter how tumultuous it maybe. I hope you find your path." he advised me.

" Yes father, I will remember! ". I assured him. We made our way back to the mansion, and I headed towards my room.

'System, Open status' I said in my mind.

Suddenly there was a very obscure magic circle on the floor with unintelligible words on it, shining brightly. Then a figure started coming from the circle, head first, followed by the body.

It was an exquisite piece of beauty, if you appreciate Gundams. Body made of a black lustrous metal, an imposing head, and shining red eyes, gems I presume, giving off a very sharp aura that could make any man without sufficient willpower, tremble.

It was quite taller than me, well that's natural, in fact I expected it to be much taller.

"System, do I need to operate it manually by sitting inside the Mecha?"

[Ding! That is not needed Host. Lucifer can be controlled by your thoughts, but also can be manually controlled.]

" Is there anything else I need to know for now?"

[Ding! Most of the Mechs operate automatically with some remote control from you. But it is recommended that mechas be operated manually to bring out maximum efficiency.]
