Unexpected Call
When put in those terms, even Commissioner Anderson couldn't help but stop in his tracks. Leo had put him in a situation where he has been given the chance to protect his men while avenging the fallen. Those two options were overwhelming even for a police commissioner.
The elderly man fell into deep thought, forgetting Leo's presence for a moment as he thought about what to do and how to respond to Leo's offer without losing out. As a man who has spent close to, if not more than fifty years in this life, he understood the saying that nothing in this life is free.
Leo wasn't offering to help him out of the goodness of his heart. He was certain this man wanted something in return. His cold gaze scanned the mysterious old man and a look of fear flashed across his eyes.
"What do you want in return?" Commissioner Anderson asked coldly and Leo smiled within the mask.
