THIRTY

After they left the room, a shady figure walked in and Scarlet Sapphira widened her eyes as they locked the door behind them...

After landing the plane, Amane was about to take a step out when Luis held him back then said,"Don't you dare kill him or I'll have to throw you in a slammer, I'll shoot him and you beat him to a pulp, got it?"

"Sure but you know, the legends say he was actually able to take down twelve men after being shot seven times so..."

"So he's going to have to take down two men after being shot forty two times so... let's go."

They entered the car but Luis didn't start, until Amane asked what was wrong.

"You are literally the only guy to have ever swept Scarlet Sapphira off of her feet literally and figuratively, and she still doesn't trust you...that must sting."

"Building trust is a long and arduous process and I'm willing to wait."Amane said without hesitation.

Luis looked at him, shrugged then stepped on the gas.

After taking down a few guards, Luis stood at a vantage point near the skylight, obscured by shadows, maintaining contact with Amane as he painstakingly watched his already traumatized mother get beat up.

"Why don't we go now?!"Amane almost yelled.

"I'm doing something..."Luis said, gulping down on a cup of coffee,"...okay, now."

There was a shooting sound as Mr Bujida spoke of how his wife lost their first son, then the man yelled in pain as his shoulder had been rendered useless.

The men around got ready to fire but in a five second relay of successive gunshots, all the men were down with a rubber bullet or two on their lower limbs.

Luis jumped down from two storeys high and landed on his feet then reloaded his gun and Miyamoto Bushida looked between his traitorous son and that assassin in a trenchcoat.

He let out a hearty laugh and asked,"So the two of you come up against me? Me?! I'll make sure to put that ignorant fool to an early grave, but you son...you wouldn't be so fortunate..."

Amane darted at him and he tried to throw a punch but ended up getting shot in the ribs, before he was given a spinning hook kick to the side of the head.

He fell to one knee then the moment caught one of Amane's fists, a bullet scratched his other shoulder.

This went on until Amane also got a bullet to his side, but this one wasn't made of rubber.

His father immediately stood back up and headbutted him then grinned as he picked him up, then looked at Chienembe from the other side, there he was.

Chienembe then said,"Why don't we let father and son handle this like the men they are? No help, only cheerleading."

Luis squinted his eyes as Amane fought his father and the moment he got the upper hand, he was shot in the thigh, then kneed in the chin.

Luis cussed and was about to point the gun to Chienembe when a bullet landed right next to Amane's head, then Chienembe said,"Put your weapon down."

Luis looked around, then slowly did, right before someone appeared from behind, spun Chienembe around and gave him a crane kick in the chin and he blacked out.

Amane didn't know whether he was seeing stars, or there were two of me as the second one the said,"Hey Bushida! Why don't you make it a fair fight? I get a shot on my arm as he got one in his leg and we both face you, after all, you haven't lost in over thirty years."

The man grinned then said,"Bring it on!"

I pulled Amane to his feet and nodded to Luis, but he was hesitant, till I said,"Trust me, we'll be fine..."

He took a gun from the nearest groaning man and made a shot...

I winced in pain when the bullet penetrated the flesh of my arm, but kept laser point focus on Mr Bushida, as he attacked, then pushed Amane to the side as I gave the man a hard shot to the belly, then an elbow to the back of the head, before an axe kick took him down.

He immediately got up then attacked me and I dodged twice till he did a feint and managed to elbow me in the cheek and was about to punch me when he got kicked in the knee then received a right hook to the side of the head by Amane, then I did a three step vertical wall flip, then landed with my feet on the man's belly.

The man still tried to get up, then we nodded at each other and gave him a double team superkick to the chin.

Right after, I held my injured arm then thanked Luis for his help, before Amane asked,"When did you get here?"

"Several days ago, my sister in law was worried that Luis over there will kill you...or worse, so she sent me after, to take care of you...in the good way, I stayed in the sidelines, letting Luis handle what he needed till you left Scarlet Sapphira in the hospital, I had a talk with her, encountered an emotional breakthrough and she told me, I didn't need to be a kid anymore, because she loved me and those were the first times I had ever heard any of those words from a child, so I promised to bring you both alive, then came here and don't worry, no more jokes."

Luis came back with Amane's mother and the young man ran to her, but she was shivering violently, stuttering and weeping for her sons, her two sons, his late brother and him...

The cops arrived and Luis said,"You finally came."

"I didn't come because of you, nitwit, I came because of Tommy."

Luis looked at me as I said,"Old friend of Mark's."

"Well, blockhead, you're late."

"Because Mr Dunce over here doesn't know how to say please."

"Well Mr Huckleberry clodpoll doesn't know how and when to do his job, so I had to do it for him."

"Ding bat."Huang said.

"Dip stick."

"Schmoe."

"Schmuck!"

"Ignoramus stupidus!!"

"Lethargic dullard!!!"

After several seconds of exchange of persiflage, I asked,"Seriously, can't you bozos just call each other stupid?"

They looked at me, then resumed their battle of bits and I gave up...
