Meeting 'bad friends'

Since I joined kapcholyo high school,my life hace been smooth.in form one,I was the best top student in academics.I was a God fearing dark handsome boy who gave ladies sleepless nights since the school was mixed.

I had a close friend.Amos. He was kind to me and always on my part.whenever I had any problem,I never shy away to tell him.his home was far away from my home.this made me not to understand his background well.though he used to say he is 'rich kid' this was evident because he used to put on expensive shoes and change uniform daily.not like me who used to 'wash and wear'.

It reach an extent my friend took me to his home.I was surprised to find her mother referring us as 'bad boys'.I never took this personal.

On 7th October 2017,I was told that Amos is drunk to the fullest and he is lying on the road and hardly breathing! How? Why? Amos the one I know? It can't be!! I decided to go find the truth.I found Amos nearly dead!!! I cried bitterly! Why do this Pal,I had full trust on you man why so this.I then decided to call his mother to inform her about the incident.. her mother replied in avoke.'let him die'.this almost made me sink! I then decided to take Amos to my home and help him until he was on his sense again.Amos told me he never did this intentionally.His mother is giving him stress to an extent he can't help it.I bear with him and help him comfort him spiritually.

One day,I visited Amos on a weekend.I didn't find him at his home.I went uptown to look for him.only to find him in one of the dirty,drinking and partying smelly pub!!! I can't allow this to happen.I went inside and tried to convince him let's go home.. before I could do anything,I heard a bang! At the door.I wanted to know what is happening. I welcomed by the ugly mouth of the M16 riffle..they were boys in blue!! I almost drown in the air!! We were told to sit down..I tried to talk to them that Iam not one of the drunkards but they insisted that I will talk that in at the police station.this was the first time for me to be handcuffed!! I cried for mercy but in vain!!
