"the guests are leaving," Justin suddenly approached the girl who was sitting at her own chair.
She was thinking about what she did and she was proud. She was proud to stand up for herself. Bianca kept on pressing her down to the ground even before she was married to her brother. Now, she bet that she would have a hard time of doing it.
"why are you still frowning?" his voice was filled with concerned. For years that he was friends with her, he mostly saw her strength and not her weakness. She seemed to be always tough, but right now, she's vulnerable.
"I didn't want this," she softly whispered, stopping her tears from falling. She gripped the cloth at the same time making deep breaths.
"Bianca's still being a bitch, isn't she?"
"she always is, but that's not the case," she quietly laughed. At the time, she wanted to admit that Bianca was still in her head but she didn't want to make her as the topic for the reason that she didn't deserve it.
"then, tell me what is it princess?"
"why do you sound like Dylan?" she laughed between her cries, punching him lightly on his shoulder.
"Excuse me? Are you thinking about Dylan?" he scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"no, but he usually calls me any names,"
He placed his arm suddenly on her shoulders while sitting down so lousy, "stop talking about Dylan. Now, why are you feeling down?"
"there's no joy in this engagement dinner that we had and I'm sure that there will be no happiness in my wedding. Tell me, why can't I decide my own decisions? I'm completely independent yet they want me to depend on them, like what the fuck?" she cried, her voice was cuter than usual.
He chuckled, shocked at her last word, " woah calm down Missy, it's not like you to swear,"
" but I understand how fvcked up your life is. If only I can do something to change it, I would do it. It's not my business to meddle, you know? Sometimes, I like your mother, sometimes, I don't. Anyways, don't blame her or them. She taught you that it's not easy to be a woman. I mean sure, sometimes your opinion doesn't matter to them. She taught you that there are people who wouldn't understand you and would underestimate you, like Bianca. But, she also taught you, actually, we taught you to not tolerate it. Ashley and Victoria's not good at tolerating people and I take that as a clue that you finally learned from them. After all, it's time for your voice to be heard, to demand for your voice to be heard in this world. So, good job for standing up Missy. I'm so proud of you."
She listened to each word he said and she couldn't help but to hug him tightly. Honestly, she was so damn lucky to have a boy best friend like him, to have 5 best friends and they're enough for her. His words strucked like guitar strings on her. She felt comfort through his words.
"I took a video of it by the way, as an evidence for Victoria, Ashley and Dylan. I'm sure they'll be proud of you too." he muttered as he hugged her, his head was on top of his shoulders.
Just then, Justin cleared his throat and stood up before saying, "since your fiancé left you, may I have this dance, Missy?"
She gasped and scoffed playfully as she nodded at him. She found Justin so funny and comforting tonight and surely, she's going to treasure this moment.
"you don't even know how to dance. Remember our Senior prom?" she teased him, stepping on his feet, barefooted.
"GEEZ, you don't have to remind me of that," groaning, he moved his feet from left to right as they swayed to the music, her feet still on top of his.
"what? It was so funny. Dylan and I stopped dancing just to take a video of-shit!" she stopped once she exposed what they did years ago.
"you took a video of it? Livie, why so cruel? I-" she stopped dancing just to laugh so hard that she bent down on the floor.
"seriously, it was so funny. Poor girl, she was so embarrassed that you kept on stepping on her dress and there were times that you stepped on her feet. Bruh, weren't you listening to our Physical Education lessons?" she wiped the tears coming from her eyes, probably her stomach was churning from laughing so hard.
" I hate you~ Dylan sucked on explaining and he was always flirting with everyone. I didn't have time to tutor myself or find someone to teach me you know. Christian was always with Ashley. Basically, I was alone," he pouted right after he slipped his hands on his waist.
She suddenly smirked at him," Victoria was always available. Why didn't you go with her? "
One thing she loved to do was to tease Justin with Victoria. All throughout their friendship, she was the only one who knew that he liked her. She swore to never tell anyone. Justin, until now, didn't confess to Victoria and why? Because she might like not like him and like someone else. He was too insecure with everything like bitch, what's there to be insecure?
He's damn handsome. 5'11 and had that slight built body. He had that messy parted light bangs with eyebrows darker than your soul and straighter than yourself. His double eyelid and monolid were his highlights. His nose, his mouth, his everything. He had that long and comforting arms that would give you warm, any warm you like.
"I love her and I'm going to confess to her at the graduation party that we will have." he winked at her and she could feel how nervous he was.
"Justin, relax~ Our graduation is still in 5 months. Need not to worry~" she comforted the guy who was looking vulnerable.
She sighed knowing that whatever she says, he won't calm down. She raised her eyebrow as she slowly swayed her hips to the song, led by his hands on her waist.
" relax? Or I'll call Victoria? "
" I'm trying to relax," He suddenly said. He closed her eyes and for a moment before opening it again. He swore, he felt something down there while looking at her and noticing that his hands was just above her butt.
"I'm gonna kill you if you're feeling that. I don't need Dylan version 2.0" she glared at him. She didn't want another version of Dylan.
