Interschool competition

"I heard that our department and 2 others will held another interschool competition," Zhang Chang Chang, her Chinese classmate announced while scrolling through her phone.

The other students gathered in front of Chang Chang while talking about the upcoming competition. She, however was left confused.

"Fen Fang, aren't you the class president? What do you know about this competition?" Chang Chang asked, looking at their class president who was busy checking their attendance.

"so far, what our teacher told me was that there would be 4 schools coming here, since the competition is by district and we're district 3, remember?" she said in a matter of fact tone.

"Ah, yes yes," she blushed, trying to hide her embarrassment.

"I wonder if there would be cute guys like last time. Anyways, although they're cute, they still can't overpower our Ice prince, and speaking of our Ice prince, where is he? Isn't he supposed to practice for the competition?"

The girls automatically squealed hearing his nickname and started to daydream around Chang Chang. However, they were stopped by their class president, once again.

"Stop with the talk and answer the questions. I need to collect it by afternoon," she said while taking her Doraemon canvas bag and went out.

Chang Chang was looking around when she spotted Liana. Immediately, she went up to her.

"Liana, I have a favor to ask," she blushed while tapping her phone.

Liana turned her bak and faced the worried Chang Chang. "what is it?" she asked. She was done with the activity and she was just chilling.

"I'm a little busy, I forgot to answer the last page," by now, her head was dropped on the ground because of embarrassment she felt.

She chuckled while holding her head, "look at me, I will do it. Just make sure that you'll treat me something," she smiled smugly.

Chang Chang's face lightened up and she stood up upon hearing it, "Our great Enchantress! Thank you! Thank you! I'll order your favorite food right now! Bye," she hurriedly went out.

She rolled her eyes before laughing at her silliness and proceeded to answer the activity. Minutes came by and their bell rang. All the students raised their hands as they screamed. It was lunch time.

She placed the activity sheet on top of the Teacher's table before going down to the cafeteria. While she was walking, she was thinking about the interschool competition. Surely, she was fitting to be one of the representative but she was not feeling well with the position. She had stopped attending competitions right after her best friend left. For her, the competition was no fun, at all, without him. So, she stopped.

She was fiddling with her alien canvas while going down the stairs when she heard a lot of voices coming from the 3rd floor, where the second year college students in her department stayed. They occupy the 3rd and fourth floor.

"let me see it,"

"let me see it. I'm short, you know"

"can't you see it, already?"

"you're blocking my way!"

"Hey, what is this all about?" she asked a random student near her.

The student inverted her eyes when she saw her but went back to normal when she answered her, "Senior Liana, It's about the representatives, 2 in each college year." she explained.

She nodded her head. She didn't have nay intention of knowing the representatives as she didn't have any dela with them. Besides, the school's staff already know that she won't be attending.

" Senior Liana will also attend. Wah~ I really envy her. She's not only our School's Enchantress but she's one of the top students. How to be her, exactly?" Liana instantly froze in her tracks.

"girl, you need to stop hoping for impossible things."

She turned back and went near to the crowd, "excuse me, may I see it?" the crowd promptly made a way for her.

"Senior Liana, you must be confident in the competition. I wish you all the best," someone complimented her, but she didn't care.

"I'm sure you're going to ace this, senior Liana," she was still buttoned up as a result of seeing her name on the paper.

"why did they list me?" she whispered, clutching tightly on her bag. She was irked by the admin's decision of putting her.

"excuse me, I need to go somewhere," she said, without even sparing them a glance.

"does she not like entering competitions?"

"hey, since when did she enter a competition?"

Her stomach was grumbling considering that it was lunch time but she didn't care. She wanted to talk to the administration about this sudden announcement. She was not going to enter the competition.

She faced the door with a grumpy face before collecting herself. She patiently knocked before she heard a come in from one of the administrators.

"Miss Stone? What brings you here?" the school's secretary asked her and urged her to sit on the couch.

"I've come to talk with the principal for some matter, is he here?" she told her, politely.

"I'm sorry Miss Stone but the principal just took his lunch with the assistant principal and the middle person of each of the 4 school. He won't be back until 1: 30." she smiled sadly to her but she understood. She will go back here right after dismissal. She won't let this thing go.
