Delayed Wedding (2)

"Why do you want to move your wedding? Is something wrong between you two? Do you not like him? Does he like som—" Karina wanted to ask more questions but Liana cut her off.

Tiredly, she covered her ears before slamming her back on the couch and stopped her own mother from asking too much.

" Ma! Could you please stop asking a lot of questions? I wanted to move the wedding because I wanted to and I'll graduate 2 months from now. I think the best date would be a month after the graduation,"

She tried to speak calmly and not sounding like a bad daughter. Despite her frustration towards her mother, she still had some respect for her.

"so 3 months from now? But then everything is prepared. Your wedding gown, the invitations, the venue, the reception, the entourage, the car,"

She could not believe that her daughter wanted to move the wedding date just because she felt like it wasn't the right time and that the graduation should come first before the wedding.

" then unprepare everything. I'm sure there would be changes. Besides, the invitations were designed by Bianca and I was left out of the preparations. It's my wedding and I'm supposed to be the only one who'll decide. I've been planning for this, please don't ruin it anymore than the damage Bianca caused, "

She sighed, thinking of her mother and Bianca. They would be the perfect pair.

Loves shopping? Spending their money like it was nothing? Living like a spoiled lady? Dominant? Those are Bianca's literal definition and not entirely her mom's but she was still fitting to duet Bianca.

"I guess I'll have to embarrass myself in front of them," Karina tried to sound like a child who unwillingly took the blame and admit defeat.

"oh please, I'm rearranging things. Gotta go mother, bye" she quickly pressed the red button and threw her phone on the table.

She slammed the palm of her hand on her forehead before heaving a deep breath.

"girl, how was the project?" Liana asked Ashley.

Ashley grabbed the nearest thing and threw it at Liana's direction. "shut up. Just because you and Jun collaborated and finished early and got the whole week off doesn't mean that you can diss at me,"

"duh, it's almost September. Don't worry, you'll get the whole 2 weeks off," she tried to ease Ashley's pain.

It wasn't entirely her fault that she took handful classes in their school and knowing that their school is strict when it come to Academics, she still pursued her dreams.

"I can't wait for semi-break," she tried to exclaim but her body wasn't willing and her voice, you can hear that she's too tired.

"anyways, won't you have lunch with us? Students who are now free CAN still visit the damn school,"

"yep, the lunch is on me. So, hurry up and finish your works or else I won't pay. If you want to eat at an expensive restaurant, get a perfect score and wait at the gate 15 minutes earlier than the school's lunch hours,"

When the call ended, she called Jun again. He didn't answer the first call and she figured out that he was busy. Thankfully, he answered the second call.

" hey, why are you calling me? Not busy? "

Truth be told, she was missing his voice and it's not even 24 hours that they separated ways.

"do you want to have lunch with me with Ashley and the others? That's it if you're not busy,"

"I'll never be busy for you. Where are we eating at?"

"I'm treating them and at an expensive place this time since it's once in a while,"

"you're treating me too, are you?"

"yep, why? Do you offer to pay for our lunch instead of me?"

Jun immediately shook his head but he forgot that she was on the phone and not in front of him. "no, no. I'm absolutely delighted that you'll be paying,"

After a few minutes, no one was speaking. She was thinking of her business meeting with someone later on while he was thinking of her and how she look good sitting inside her office.

"hey baby, how are you?"

With a simple 'Hey baby' from Jun, butterflies were flying in her stomach and her stomach would churn and she could feel her heart fluttering. She seldom respond with something ending or starting with 'baby' as she felt awkward and her voice would sound cringe.

"oh right, I forgot to tell you something,"

"our wedding will be delayed and will be moved first week of December, I think,"

She was actually thankful that the Wedding was moved or else she would be married on Halloween day. And despite her feelings for Jun which is still developing, she was still not ready to get married at this time. They weren't even a real couple or maybe they would skip the whole thing.

Jun got confused of her statement and was scared for a second that she was backing out.

"why did you move it?"

"Uhm...Niko found something and I knew something too. You lied to me about Julius,"

He gulped nervously and prayed that she won't kick him out of the house and ban him from entering the household.

"but that's alright, I figured it out and I'm fine with it...dont lie to me again," her statement at the end made Jun think of her. She was lowkey threatening him but she didn't sound so obvious.
