What the Hell Happened?

"Kelly? Kelly! It's starting!" Holly calls from the living room. "Hurry up!"
Cursing under my breath because I'm not ready—on any level—I close the bedroom door softly and stand in the hallway, staring at it, arguing with myself like a crazy person.
He knew you'd watch it. He'll say something to you. He always does. He always has.
But what if I don't want to hear what he has to say?
I'll end up hearing it, regardless. Someone will tell me—and probably not nicely. Better to know and turn off my phone if I need to. Forewarned is forearmed.
But with Holly sitting right there, watching me? She's already nagging me about talking to him. She'll drag me to his house herself if he says—
"Kelly!"
