Chapter : 61 Final Match (part-1)

[MC POV]

[Todoroki IMG]

"LET THE MATCH BEGINNNNNN!!!!!!!!"

Todoroki had opened up to me and yes I do feel some sympathy towards him. He was not getting treated by the main character like cannon and I should definitely do something to help him.

He was traumatized, he was just a broken boy.

..

But I just don`t give a fuck.

I am not going easy on him, especially when he was boldly challenging me like this.

'A prey is a prey.'

While I was having these thoughts a sea of flames came at me. They burned their way towards me like an unstoppable tsunami.

My body was naturally fire resistant but not to the extent where I can take flames like these. Luckily I had my power to boost my fire resistance.

My power envelops my whole body as the fire swallowed me. I barely felt the heat.

Then I exploded out. My feet propelled me forward as I shot towards Todoroki`s position. But he wasn`t there.

He had used the flames tonot only attack me first but to use as a smokescreen. Now I did not know where he was.

I looked around the arena, the fire had cleared now but still no one was in sight. I looked down at the ground, expecting something to pop up from the ground.

Then I noticed my shadow. I observed it as it slowly expanded. Soon a circular area around me was covered in a shadow.

I looked up and smirked,

"Interesting."

Todoroki was up in the sky. He was suspended in the air and beside him was a HUGE pillar made of ice. The area of the circular end was enough to cast a shadow on me.

He breathe out a chilling breath even as his left side was constantly burning. His flames side was keeping up his temperature, allowing him to create far more powerful ice attacks.

That's the thing about Todoroki, both sides of his quirk complimented each other. Only using his ice side never weakened him to 50% of his power.

It was more like he had 10% of his true strength when he was only using his ice side.

But I wonder if he was always this strong.

Or did my presence make him way stronger than canon? Don`t tell me the world leveled up just to keep up with my new strength.

"Haaaaaaaa!!!" He screamed and then throws the giant pillar at me. The air erupted in a chaotic breeze as the pillar dived headfirst at me, its only creation and intention was to crush me under its gigantic mass.

Not to be outdone, I gathered my power on both of my hands as the thing descended towards me.

The moment the ice pillar fell on me, I grabbed its end. It was solid and it was cold.

But it was nothing to me. "DIE!!!"

Golden streaks of explosive beam erupted from my palm and blasted straight through the pillar.

The pillar became swollen and red inside out, as if the literal ice was turning into lava. Then it exploded into the bright colour of gold.

*PHEWW!!*

The whole stadium was bathed in the colour as an explosion rang out. My beam did not stop and continued blasting away. It only reached its peak power when the ice pillar was long gone.

*BOOM!!*

This clearly shows the abundance of power left even after destroying the ice pillar. It shows the undeniable fact that I was still way beyond Todoroki`s league.

I blasted off towards Todoroki who was falling from the sky. In only just a split second I reached him.

His left side caught on fire, the flames raged as they burned with power. 

I smiled.

Todoroki reeled his arm back and unleashed everything he could when we collide. An explosion of red and gold erupted in the sky, disrupting the atmosphere and shaking the entire stadium.

[3rd POV]

"This is insane." A pro hero muttered in utter disbelief as he spectate the fight which was suppose to be between two students.

The other heroes nodded solemnly yet a huge relief and anticipation brewed in their heart. The kids were going to be great heroes, they would not have to worry about the next generation it seems.

If that was what they could do now as first year students, they shudder for whoever was going to face them when they grew up to their full potential.

"Hopefully they don`t go all villain on us." one of them commented as he saw Bakugo`s 'peaceful' smile.

They laughed, yeah that was unlikely. Todoroki was the son of Endeavour and Bakugo was known to have been saving people since he was a kid.

But among them one rabbit hero simply smiled. Her smile was oddly familiar with Bakugo`s and she seemed to be aware of it.

"Oh myyy good." Ochako muttered in distress as she watched the fight. She looked to be melting in her seat as she slowly flow down on it like liquid.

She was worried. Very worried for Bakugo.

She knew he was strong but it can`t help her worried heart.

"You worry too much Ochako. He will be fine. Logically speaking its Todoroki we should be worried about." Momo said to calm her worried friend. 

Her claims were factual and logical. She was not worried at all.

"Exactly!! There is no way Bakugo will lose." Toru added with a happy skip in her tone. Her claims were not logical or thought out, she simply believed that Bakugo could not be beaten.

The three girls watched on and all of them blushed when Bakugo`s evil smile appeared on the screen. 

It poked certain emotions inside them when Bakugo smiled like that.

Would he have such a smile in bed?

[MC POV]

Unrealistic expectation!!!

That`s exactly what Todoroki was having. Does he think his fire will be able to harm me?

I thought it was only my excitement for the fight but now I was sure. I don`t like his fire either. The way it pisses me off is just like his dad`s.

It annoys the shit out of me. How dare they tried to use fire on me?

Explosion is not fire but it is close enough. So he was basically trying to use my own power against me. Maybe thats why it irked me the wrong way.

The explosion ended and I shot down towards the ground.

*BOOM*

The concrete platform caved in as my body landed on it. I stared up blankly as I also saw Todoroki falling.

His landing was more graceful than me as he made a ramp out of ice and slide down. He did not waste time and immediately send ice spikes towards me.

My back erupted and I immediately stood up straight. Then I destroyed the incoming ice spikes before they hit me.

But the ice never stopped. My arms blurred due to the speed as I destroyed multiple ice but they have no end.

"ANNOYING!!!" I screamed.

Then Todoroki`s left side lit in flames again. The ice no longer came as projectiles and instead a storm of blizzard came my way.

It was like an incoming disaster. Everything froze with ease due to the biting cold. The air I breathe in seems to become frozen even before they reached my lungs.

It was frigid, the space trembled due to the extreme cold. I covered my body as I let my power wash over me. 

Then the ice swallowed me, burying me into their deepest depth. It was heavy and numbing.

The ice grows thicker and colder. Until it felt like I can`t feel my body at all.

Everything was dark.
