“You’ve only ever told me about this place. I never got a chance to see it. But now that I have, I must say, it is beautiful,” Zoe said.
She tried her best to focus on the serenity of the place around her, rather than her thoughts about Dylan. He knew now that Kyle had been looking for her, and instead of telling him that they were splitting the apartment, he lied and said it was all his.
If she were to tell Dylan that she was with Kyle right now, he would freak out, and if Kyle found out that Dylan was the man she had been seeing, he would freak out too.
She was between a rock and a hard place with no way out.
Once again, she did her best to focus on her surroundings.
The water was blue, calm, and still. The walls were plank wood, and the ceilings were tall and vaulted. The cottage was extraordinary.
As she tried to lose herself in happy thoughts, she heard Kyle approach her.
“I want us to be married here,” Kyle said, stepping behind her and placing a hand around her.
