Chapter 13:The Herb
A doctor was appointed to check Jamie's condition by the committee of the Colosseum.The doctor opened the bandage and checked it looking closely at the wound.After some time he sighed and uttered,"It looks the wound is deep I'll need three pieces of Lavender Herbs found in the wild but because of the wolves nobody dares to go there now".Jamie knew that as he was the one who placed them in that part of the jungle."Don't worry I'll go doctor,I'll somehow manage the herbs for his treatment", said Srides pointing her finger at Jamie.
Jamie already knew that only he can manage the herbs himself so he barked loudly to grab the attention of the doctor."What are you going to get it yourself?".Hearing this Jamie nodded his head."You're very intelligent,it's the first time I've met such a smart doggo".Doggo?,Jamie kept on thinking on his head why did you utter the word doggo as he's not a dog."He's not a dog doctor,he's a wolf", said Srides looking at the doctor with a pouting face."I get it I was just trying to have some fun", said the doctor as he bandaged Jamie's leg.Jamie understood that the doctor was one strange fellow.After the bandage was done Jamie tried to stand but fell.
"You can't walk now so stay in your bed", said the doctor as he was closing his medical kit.Jamie knew that if he can't get up then Srides will go and the wolves might hunt her as prey.Jamie then thought of an idea and it was if he can connect with the minds of the wolves then he can easily specify them of his need.Jamie used his skill wolf whisperer and he tried to spread it as far as he could.After some time he was able to connect with one of the hunter wolves.The wolves were scared at first but upon hearing his voice they calmed down and were told to return to the tribe grounds.The wolves after reaching the tribe were scolded by Fear for returning empty-handed.The wolves were told to go close to him and place their paw on his shoulder and voila Jamie connected to the consciousness of Fear. Do you hear me fear?, asked Jamie."Yes, loud and clear my lord". Good now tell me do you know where one can find the herbs called Lavender?. "Oh! that herb,it grows plenty near our tribe grounds but why do you need the herbs". One of my legs got injured so I'll need three leaves of the lavender herb."How can that be?, which mighty monster did you fight with my lord?", asked Fear being shocked.Don't worry about details I'll tell you later after I recover. "Okay, my lord I'll arrange the leaves by myself and what will I do after that?". Just leave the leaves on the entrance of the forest tomorrow in a place where they can be noticeable. "Ok, my lord understood".
The next day Srides was prepared to go inside the forest after she learned how to identify the leaves.She was prepared to embark on a journey but as she was about to step in the forest she noticed some leaves similar to the lavender herbs were lying on the ground and came back with those leaves.She confirmed whether the leaves were of the lavender herb by going to the doctor.The doctor was not expecting that she would find the leaves this soon.After getting the leaves the doctor told Srides to go as he was going to prepare the medicine for Jamie.
The doctor came back after he made paste-like substances of the leaves.The doctor then opened the bandage and applied it on Jamie's leg.As the paste was being applied on Jamie's leg he howled loudly cause he felt it stinging on the leg.The doctor applied it and waited for the medicine to spread before bandaging.
After finishing the bandaging the doctor told Srides that it will heal before the next match begins.Along with Jamie, a total of 30 more contestants are left.
Jamie was able to walk on the passing of six days and didn't need the bandages anymore as the wound got fixed.The doctor still told him not to do any fighting till his next match.
Jamie returned to Srides's mansion from the hospital and snuck out one day to meet with fear to tell him about what happened.Jamie told fear ahead of time that he was going to meet with him so Jamie didn't had to enter deep inside the forest to meet with fear.
" Are you alright my lord?". Yup,I'm good."If you don't mind what kind of monster did you fight my lord?". You wanna hear it that badly. "Yes, replied Fear with a curious look.
The monster was called Gargantula, a monster with six legs and many eyes. "Was the monster a spider?". Yes, it was a spider of a dark being, it tried to corner me by shooting webs. "Then what did you do to dodge the webs my lord?". I jumped up, down, left and right to save myself.Jamie explained everything shortly as he thought Srides would enter the forest to find him.Fear left after hearing the whole story and he was right as Srides was roaming on the outskirts of the forest with a magic lamp to find him.Jamie went straight to her and Srides hugged him tightly and started uttering,"You're a Bad boy you shouldn't sneak out during late night,I'm going to punish you for that, No more cuddles for a week". Jamie was not listening to the details as he felt the medium-sized dough roll on a smooth surface repeatedly.
Jamie didn't hesitate and let his body loose to feel the dough.Some time later Srides stopped and started to walk as she thought it was a bad idea to stay outside this late at night.Jamie followed after her and after they reached home Jamie was given a bed made of towel and pillow to sleep on.Jamie was delighted that he finally gets a decent bed to sleep on.
