Chapter 10: Boss, Bug, and Scorpion

"Kid, stop there!" Scorpion called out as he ran to block Elon's path.

After having followed Elon the whole day, the shock they experienced when they saw him buy a house worth twenty gold Nyleon coin wasn't something they could describe with words.

Holding back their patience since then had taken a toll on their mental health, almost going crazy with greed.

Although they once hesitated when Elon revealed that he had a Lord, this fear was crushed into pieces by Bug,the brain of the three after drawing out a plan.

"It's simple, no one knows that we followed him,if anything happens to him we will never be suspected. Instead the house dealer will take the hit,after all many people saw him come to purchase a house, and it wouldn't be suspicious if the dealer had gotten greedy and killed the weak servant."

" Besides the servant looks so weak, wearing the clothes his master bought for him and trying to act like a noble what a fool. Our punches alone would be enough to handle him.

"... It will even be more convincing that he died due to being beaten by robbers, and his death was probably a result of struggle between him and the robbers not intentional, after all who would have the guts to offend a high noble servant."

"Ah boss, could the box in his hand be a treasure box filled with gold?" Scorpion asked.

Buh before he could answer, Bug spoke again... " No, if it really contains gold coins then the weak servant wouldn't be able to carry it so easily... But it may contain something precious. "

" Kill" Boss said with vicious eyes.

This was what they discussed before surrounding Elon.

Looking at the three tall men with big physiques, wearing armless shirt, brown pants,and old dirty boots that had been soiled by seasons, with scars on different sides of their face. Elon needed no one to tell him who they were, as their appearance alone spelled it out from afar, Thugs.

Standing before the young,weak,lean youth,with dull skin.

Surrounded by three tall men with large builds and a face that would probably give any kid a nightmare. It was a total knockdown for the youth, also called child abuse or outright bullying.

But Elon wasn't panicked either, having a rather calm expression while also suppressing the laugh that wanted to burst through his lips.

"Greedy One eye was right, you are a fat cow" the man called Boss of the three said, revealing a predatory smile similar to that of a wolf seeing a helpless sheep without it's shepherd.

" Don't worry kid, I'll make sure I give you a good roast with the best ingredients."

" Now hand over that box and the pouch or you die a painful death."

Finally hearing this familiar clichè line directly said to him,Elon couldn't suppress his laughter any more...

" Hahaha hahaha hahaha!" Elon laughed while trying to catch his breath.

With a smug feeling in his heart Elon felt like he was quite the big boss, fully confident in his own strength to beat up this group of thugs,he revealed a playful smile.

Pointing towards the leader who had spoken, Elon asked with a smile...

"Ok, so apart from that one eye merchant telling you about me, you also want to kill me and take away my money?"

" Too bad, if you had waited much longer, you would have gained more than that.."

Feeling his arrogance reaching a whole new level , Elon said.

" Did this kid hit his head on something?" Scorpion who didn't understand what was going on anymore said, looking at Bug for an answer.

Surprisingly Bug was also out of words, wearing a confused expression .

Watching as Elon dropped the box on the ground, they became even more stunned and confused.

'Could it be that he wants to fight us... or?'

"He wants to run?" Bug quickly shouted out loud like someone who suddenly got enlightened.

Elon "..."

Elon was instantly left speechless, staring as the group of three men rushed forward.

"Fuck!"

Dropping the wooden box, with an audible bang!

He quickly punched out,the veins on his hand strained.

Elon's punch sounded much louder than the other two who barely had contact with his body.

As the saying goes two hands can't block eight limbs, though in Elon's case it was just six limbs but he couldn't block them all, which could been considered excellent for someone like Elon who had never exchanged blows or been involved in a fight both lives.

So for a first timer, it was a job well done, blocking two fist and receiving double with his body.

Meanwhile, "Crash!!!" a figure flew through the air with his feets barely scraping the ground as collided with a..

The figure crashed into the wall as the sound of impact reverberated.

Revealing himself to the three dump struck crowd, paused in motion. Behold of the largest in the group,the thug called Boss was lying on the wall like a useless piece of rag,his eyes were closed as blood continuously pumped it's way out of his mouth, it wouldn't be long before he was dyed red.

Elon: "..."

The two thugs: "..."

There was nothing to define it other than shock, surprise, stunning,but then... fear suddenly crept in, followed by horror.

The two thugs, Scorpion and Bug slowly turned their heads, similar to ticking clock hand... with their face already twisted by different kind of emotions.

"B..b..b..bo..bo.... Boss" Bug stuttered as he managed to stutter, which was quite surprising. But then again he suddenly bowed his head towards Elon who was trying to recover from the rush of excitement that went through his brain.

"Boss?"finally Scorpion called out as he stared at his boss who was already in a comatose state.

Seeing his partner's action, Bug couldn't be more frustrated right now by how stupid Scorpion was.

"Hmm?" Elon looked at two remaining thugs, feeling confused.

"Anyway I'll send you to go meet your boss" taking a large stride towards the dumbfounded two, Elon sent out a much lesser punch at Scorpion who had his head turned looking at his pitiful boss lying unconscious.

Bang!

Instead of flying backward though, Scorpion was knocked downward, loosing conscious.

"Boss! Boss! Boss! Please forgive me" Bug cried out loud, almost sobbing tears.

Looking at the spineless thug who had chosen to change loyalty,Elon became more surprised.

"I'm not your boss ,see your boss over there" pointing at the body not too far away lying on the wall, Elon said with a smile on his face.

"You seem smart though, switching sides immediately after losing, that's wise buh you aren't loyal"

"You must have been the one who planed this whole thing"

"Fear not,I have no reason to kill you, so I'll take it easy on you"

Walking forward Elon directly kicked the man in the stomach.

"Boss my foot, I didn't go too hard , buh you better treat your comrades"

Elon spoke out, leaving the grunting Bug to get up on his own.

Picking up his box he continued on his path, not fearing that the thugs would still follow him.

'Jeez, transmigration still feels surreal, living in a fantasy novel world is kinda hard' Elon wondered.

As someone from earth where society was just, at least on the surface, taking life was still a big deal for him.muder.

'I guess living in one is more real than reading one' thinking about how those transmigration novel protagonists instantly or easily learn to kill despite being from a civilized world, reality is kinda hard.

This was the reason Elon had spared the life of those thugs.
