Eventually, we stopped at a small inn that was in the mountains, accidentally startling the few people that were living in the area. As soon as they noticed the carrier outside of their steps, the people were quick to get the rooms prepared, and provided fresh water for our baths, noticing how I was wincing in pain from the long trip.
There was a young lady who assisted me out of the heavy robes, just like Lily would have done if she came with us.
Once we were situated for the night, the boys took turned on watching out for my safety, while I managed to fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Thankfully I got a decent amount of sleep, waking up to a rich nutritious breakfast that Colby brought as a peace offering to convince me to allow him to ride in the carriage.
