Chapter 26

Isabella's POV

At the end of the day, I was more than exhausted but I was glad that I could finally get some rest for the night. Drey finally permitted me to live in the mansion with him. He gave me the room next to his and because I was full of thanks, I rejected his offer to help me clean up the room.

Well, now I regret that. It took me hours of nonstop work to get the cleaning done because the room hadn't been cleaned in years so there were lots of accumulated dust and some old rubbish that I had to get rid off.

Now that I was done with all the work, I ached all over so I just wanted some rest. I retired to bed earlier than usual and quickly fell asleep due to my exhaustion. I didn't think I had slept too long when my ears picked up groaning sounds.
