Andreas's POV

Despite the distance between us, her gentle sobs reached my ears, echoing softly. Earlier today, I had observed her tears by the riverside, sensing that she concealed a deep pain in her heart.

The sound of her weeping intensified, igniting a surge of emotion within me. I felt frustration surge through me as I questioned the source of her anguish, yearning to understand the reason behind her pain. If only she had shared more about herself, perhaps I could've been able to fathom the weight that burdened her heart.

I wished I had the ability to block out her sounds. That way, I could remain indifferent and uninvolved. Unfortunately, my keen werewolf senses, particularly heightened hearing, granted me access to unwelcome auditory experiences. At times like this, I just wish I didn't have these abilities.
