JEONGHAN’s POV
Mrs. Kim looked me straight in the eye, the same look her daughter gave me in the high school hallway, a decade ago. There was a flash of emotions I couldn’t quite make out before she finally took my hand and climbed out of my car, lips pursed.
“There’s a ring that Yoo-Mi loved. Please buy that for her.” Mrs. Kim said and I smiled, nodding.
“Of course.”
My breath getting caught in my lungs when she showed me the ring she chose for her.
“It’s beautiful.” I beamed, eyes widened as I inspected the ring. A princess cut diamond on a white gold band, tiny diamonds embedded on either side. It was so perfect for Yoo-Mi.
“Years ago,” Mrs. Kim chuckled. “Yoo-Mi and I were helping my nephew chose a ring for his fiancée and she stared at this one for a minute longer than all the others. I don’t know why, but the look of this ring never left my mind.” She smiled.
