Goblin Quest: Part 1

<Kahn Village>

[This village looks exactly like the Augustus village back then.]

"When do they usually attack?" - Angel

"The goblins usually attack at night but sometimes at random times, they appeared so suddenly that we weren't prepared for the time when they first attacked, they approached so quietly without alarming one of the guards in the village." - William Kahn

"Are goblins really like this? Because it seems that they knew how to attack a village with guards on watch." - Angel

"Goblin aren't really like this, they are mindless beasts who attack on instinct. The only goblin that has knowledge are hobgoblins and goblin shamans." - William Kahn

"You don't need to worry, I'll deal with those goblins." - Angel

"Thank you so much adventurer! You may rest in one of the rooms inside my house, its clean so don't worry." - William Kahn

"Thank you for your hospitality." - Angel

{He brought me to my room and I took a lay down first, I used chi manipulation again so that I can see, hear, smell, or feel anything that comes from outside the village.}

"Village chief, are you sure about this? He is just one man, how can he deal with those many goblins? He just came here to die in vain." - Female villager

[I can hear them.]

"I don't know, but I'll trust him. He is confident that he can solve this so I'll put my trust in him but if he fails, then we will move away from this village." - William Kahn

{The sun had set and the dark has risen.}

[Hm?]

{Something abnormal had entered the chi manipulation's range.}

[This is... demonic energy. Wait!?]

{Multiple entities radiating with demonic power had entered the chi manipulation's range. Bells started ringing and people shouted 'goblins'.}

{I went outside to check and everybody was panicking.}

"Angel! The goblins has come to attack!" - William Kahn

"I can see that." - Angel says as he looks at the goblins that are running towards here

[Their numbers are roughly 50 plus while the village's population is only 26 including sir Kahn.]

"Heh, I said that no monster will come to do harm, well I'm not joking. No monster shall do no harm! [Art of the Heavenly War: Spiritual Samurai Summoning]!" - Angel

{Multiple formations appeared and what came out were spirits wearing samurai armor and holding katanas. This was one of the reasons why I was called God of War back in 'Martial Road'.}

[This feeling, the pleasure of leading an army came back to me. I used to feel this all the time as I fought countless players but lost it the moment they stopped pursuing me.]

{The spirits had started battling against the demonic goblins, and they were fighting on equal footing.}

[Something I had noticed when they entered my chi manipulation's range was that the demonic energy were like strings, connected somewhere inside the forest.]
