Part 16: I have a boyfriend

The venue was a huge mansion, filled with all types of cars such that the outside parking lot was filled and some cars had to borrow the neighbor's.

"Is it a royal banquet?" I asked as he led me through the gates.

On either side were groups of young people of all genders who appeared to be interested in either drinking their livers to death, smoking their lungs black or both.

"The party is just getting started." Dave whispered in my ear. The loud music gave no room for normal toned conversations.

I turned to him. "Really?"

"No, it started about an hour ago." He responded. "You took a whole hour to get ready, remember?"

I smiled at him and he took my hand. "Dont worry, we're all family and friends here. Relax and have fun."

I nodded as we walked through the doors. It was like walking into a stripping club raided by half normal people.

"Dave," some guy called out and patted Dave's back. "I'm glad you made it."

"I'd never miss it." Dave told him.

"And I see you brought an unexpected date." He looked at me. "Devyn's sister?"

"Ask her what Devyn told her." Dave compelled him.

Before he could ask, I offered, "He said I could crash at Dave's place if I want." I figured, if I was going to enjoy this alien party with unknown people, the first thing I had to do was loosen up and blend in.

The new guy's eyes widened as he eyed Dave who nodded and then they both burst out laughing. "That does sound like Devyn. I'm El."

"Adey."

"Nice to finally speak to you." El said. I raised a questioning brow and he shook his head. "Come on, let him catch up later. Let's get you a drink and started."

"I don't drink." I said when Dave waved at me as I was led away.

"We'll see about that when you've dawned at least three shots."

"Huh?" I looked up at him.

Brown complexion, dark hair that filled only two thirds of his head with dark eyes and a scar that ran down the side of his nose to the left side of his top lip. He looked like the guy that would take you sky diving for a date. Dangerous and sexy.

The scar made him irresistible.

I had an uncanny feeling I was going to meet loads of dangerous and sexy guys at the party.

El chuckled. "Relax, drinking is not that bad."

I smiled at him. He definitely had no idea drinking was the last thing on my mind.

"And who's this indescribable person?" Someone approached as we neared the kitchen. "A special guest you invited?"

Apparently El was the host.

"Not only special, Trey, also untouchable." El told him.

"Don't worry, this party got tons of pussies, I'll gladly settle for them than the goddess of beauty."

"That's a relief?" We entered the kitchen and El started mixing drinks from several bottles.

"Also, it's been a while since we've heard you been laid by a real girl. I wont wreck the opportunity to hear such great news." Trey winked at me.

"You suck at lying, Trey."

"At least she believes me." Trey nodded at me.

"I don't." I told him. "If he can throw such a party, he can throw a fucking only night party."

El opened his mouth to say something, closed it, turned to Trey who was devilishly grinning at me then looked up at the ceiling. "Something is telling me to keep you guys as far apart as possible."

"That's just the devil lying to you." Trey said, not taking his eyes of me.

"Here, Adey." El handed me a drink. "Drink it up, no cheating. I'll be back in a sec." Then he turned to Trey. "What did you want?" He led him out.

On their way out, Trey did an 'I'll-be-back' sign by rotating his finger behind El.

"If I throw a fucking only night party, will you come?"

I looked up and I was surprised by my lack of surprise to see him there. "What are you doing here?"

"Precisely the question I had intended to ask you first if I hadn't overhead your conversation with the two excuses of human beings."

"If you don't like El and his friends, what exactly are you doing here?" I stepped around to face him, my drink still in my hand.

"I take it the words 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer' are unfamiliar to you."

"I don't get you," I told him bringing the drink to my mouth looking for something to focus on other than his alluring state.

He was wearing a loose vest that took it upon itself to outline the very pattern of his muscles, tucked into black fitting jeans that didn't fail to highlight every part of his lower body. His hair was tangled into an unruly mesh and left to hang freely over his shoulders.

I saw his biceps bulge as he reached over to take the glass from my hand. "Don't sweat over it, I came with a shirt covering the better half of me including my zipped area but I don't know where I left it in this crowded place."

My eyes flew to his face as he downed my drink in one gulp. Forget the drink made by a sexy guy which's taste I'd never get to know, but just how on earth did this excuse of a mortal know what I was thinking? Could he also know the tingling feeling beginning between my legs?

He slowly started towards me, forcing me to take startled steps back until I was blocked by the counter. He leaned over me, and I bent backwards until I couldn't anymore. He placed the cup on the counter behind me and stayed that way, his body pressed hard against mine not appearing to have any intentions of moving away any sooner.

"I have a boyfriend." I heard myself blurt under the heavy weight of his gaze in attempt to avert his attention from the growing tingling sensation high up my thighs.

The only sign he heard me was the slight dilation of his pupils.

Ash leaned over and pressed his lips to mine.
