Sharing the power

Tarek's message said a lot of things. Most of them were inconsequential, telling about his family, bragging about his grandchildren, and complaining about his wives. Despite the latter, there was a lot of fondness in Tarek's words.

Although he adventured for a while with his friends, Tarek's true home was with his family. Cael hoped it would be a calm one, despite everything that happened in the Mattoni Empire.

Tarek's message gave that hope grounds to exist.

The man said that the Void was using magic to help fix damages dealt by the dragons. He was also buying food from the nearby countries to replace the destroyed stocks.

The hit on the core of the country was undeniable, though. A lot of doubt and fear was in the hearts of people, and that became riots. Prophets and cultists roamed the streets, trying to bring sense into what was going on, but their ways created only more panic and chaos.

The guard dealt with them swiftly and mercilessly.
